Chapter 143: Each Taking What They Need (Seeking Subscription Support)
Worker and Spider are the codenames for the industrial-type Decepticon and the medical-type Decepticon, respectively.
Sun Cheng had only just finished stating his conditions when Onslaught's face turned completely black.
"You want too much!" He grunted, his eyes looking at Sun Cheng with a hint of hostility, "Don't even think about the sonic gun!"
Sun Cheng did not ask him for the electromagnetic railgun, even though he was very covetous of it after seeing the power of this new weapon of Onslaught's with his own eyes.
But he had not expected that Onslaught would be unwilling to even give him that sonic gun, and his attitude was very firm, almost leaving no room for negotiation.
Although he felt a bit disappointed inside, the smile on Sun Cheng's face remained unchanged, and his voice was still slow but firm: "Wanting too much? That is the memory chip of Optimus Prime's lieutenant—Jazz!"
Having to take out Jazz's memory chip as a bargaining chip for the trade, Sun Cheng already felt he was at a disadvantage, so he naturally held onto his demands tightly.
Onslaught looked at him coldly, his eyes flickering incessantly; it was clear he was indeed very tempted.
After a good while, he finally spoke again, saying slowly: "You want too much. I can give you the Spiders, and the manufacturing technology and equipment are no problem, but the Workers are not possible. Manufacturing Workers is not difficult, but the Cores can only be manufactured by Starscream and Shockwave. I don't have many here either; I can give you 5 at most."
Was it really stuck at the 【Core】 after all?
A thought flashed through Sun Cheng's mind. He also knew that although Onslaught was doing much better than he was, compared to Starscream, he was truly a penniless man.
But was what he wanted really that much?
Not necessarily!
After a long silence, Sun Cheng shook his head again, "Jazz's memory chip is complete and undamaged. If Lord Onslaught has the heart, it is not impossible to use it to recreate a Barricade. 10 Workers, not one less, and throw in a set of energy extraction and conversion devices—I know you have them!"
The Advanced Warrior—Barricade—was an Autobot in his early years.
After betraying the Autobots and defecting to the Decepticons during the civil war, he himself had been assassinated many times by Autobots, including Bumblebee, and in the most serious instance, both his Spark and body were damaged.
It was only after Megatron ordered Starscream to redesign his body and transfer the memory chip into the New Body that his complete resurrection was achieved, turning him from an Autobot into a Decepticon.
Since Onslaught had the ambition to go it alone, Sun Cheng believed he must have also felt the lack of manpower after going solo.
One Jazz memory chip could give him an extra Advanced Warrior. As for the cost of customizing a body and Spark for him, that was not something Sun Cheng needed to worry about!
As for how to ensure the loyalty of the newborn warrior, he believed Onslaught would surely have a method of control.
Onslaught was indeed ambitious. With a restless swat, he slapped away another spider that had crawled onto his cheek. One of his hands kept tapping on the equipment beside him, and because he did not deliberately control his strength, some faint, invisible dents soon appeared on that piece of equipment.
After thinking irritably for a good while, Onslaught snorted ungraciously, "You really have me figured out!"
The implication was that he had agreed to his request.
Having completed the trade with Onslaught, Sun Cheng felt joyful.
Jazz's memory chip was indeed not bad; it could allow him to have an Advanced Warrior under his command in the future who was a notch stronger than he was now.
However, not to mention where to find a Spark for him to use, the resources consumed by just one body would be enough to give Sun Cheng a headache. Heaven knows he was still running around and calculating for the resources needed for his own New Body.
Although the prospects for Jazz's memory chip were beautiful, compared to that, Sun Cheng cared more about himself and the present.
The trade was finally completed two days later, and Onslaught delivered the goods in person.
Sun Cheng had the intention of using the benefits to bind them together, further narrowing the distance between himself and this Decepticon Warrior who had one foot in the ranks of the Leaders.
Plus, there were too many items in the trade, and he could not move them all at once.
So he simply invited Onslaught to deliver the goods in person, and incidentally brought him into this base of his located in the outskirts of Saguache County, southwest Colorado.
Of course, some sensitive items had already been retracted into his Spherical Space.
"This is your base?"
Loaded with a full carriage of equipment, having entered the base through a remote missile transport tunnel of a launch silo, Onslaught finally set down the container full of equipment and other trade items, transformed back into his human form, and looked at his base thoughtfully.
Greeting Atlas to go into the container to count the number of items, Sun Cheng explained truthfully, "This was originally a human military base, but it has been abandoned for decades. After I discovered it, I made use of it. After all, I do not have the ability to return to the planet Cybertron..."
Crossing galaxies holds all kinds of dangers; celestial bodies, gravity, and even black holes, etc. —danger is everywhere.
Sun Cheng did not have a complete star map, did not know where those crucial space bridges from Earth to the planet Cybertron were, and could not use a Space Bridge for spatial jumps. Without the help of external forces, it would be impossible for him to return to the planet Cybertron for a very long time.
Although, he did not want to go back at all.
Onslaught's eyes flickered for a moment, then he stopped caring about this question. He looked at Sun Cheng quietly, his purpose self-evident.
Sun Cheng shook his head, "Lord Onslaught, you are still worried that I would dare to swallow Jazz's memory chip? Please wait a moment..."
The implication was that he still had to count the proceeds of the trade, which was not without the meaning of telling the other party, "I don't completely trust you either."
Onslaught stared at him coldly for a moment, gave a light snort, and said nothing more.
He indeed did not believe Sun Cheng would dare to play him, especially after he had offended both Starscream and Soundwave; if he offended him too just for some Workers and Spiders, he would really be unable to stay on Earth.
Thinking this way, since he had already been invited into his base, Onslaught simply waited patiently, and incidentally wanted to exchange information with this intelligence expert from the 【Cassette Corps】.
Therefore, not long after, he took the initiative to speak again, "Battle of Las Vegas, what were the Autobot losses? Is there any intelligence about them recently?"
"Jazz is dead, Bumblebee and Ratchet are seriously injured, Optimus Prime and Ironhide's injuries are unknown... The Autobots seem to have plans to stay on Earth. Optimus Prime seems to be preparing to cooperate with humans. I have also been investigating this matter recently, but I cannot be sure for the time being!"
As soon as Onslaught spoke, Sun Cheng immediately understood and fed him the intelligence he wanted to know, mixing truth with falsehood. However, he also took the opportunity to ask about something he really wanted to know, "Why has there been no movement from Lord Starscream's side recently?"

2. The subscription numbers are horrific. I am kneeling and begging brothers who are able to come to 【Qidian Chinese Network】 to support the genuine version. A month's subscription costs at most the price of a pack of cigarettes; you great ones only need to smoke one less cigarette a day to have enough for the subscription!
