Chapter 151: Enemies, Not Friends

~7 min read 1,333 words

"Bumblebee..."

Seeing from afar that Bumblebee had suffered heavy damage, Sam let out a scream, hurriedly ran out from his hiding spot, and anxiously ran toward this battlefield.

"Sam, go back quickly..."

Bumblebee's expression was grim; while carefully guarding against Sun Cheng, he turned his face slightly to the side and shouted a reprimand at Sam, who was attempting to approach.

The opponent was unexpectedly difficult to deal with; he hadn't expected that in just over a month, the other party would be equipped with a weapon capable of severely wounding him.

Bumblebee stared at the Plasma Cannon in Sun Cheng's hand with some wariness and examined it carefully, but he soon frowned in disappointment. He could not find any weapon of the same type within the Decepticon Legion in his database, and therefore could not determine whose hand this suddenly appearing Energy Weapon had come from.

This meant that as an Autobot intelligence expert, he could not determine who exactly was behind Sun Cheng.

Clearly, Bumblebee had not yet realized that this Decepticon, whose strength was still significantly inferior to his own, was a newly emerged force drifting outside the various factions within the Decepticon Legion.

Sun Cheng expressionlessly glanced at the American boy Sam, who had ignored his advice and was about to reach Bumblebee, the blue light in his electronic eyes flickering slightly.

Just now, taking advantage of the opponent's lack of preparation, he had been able to break Bumblebee's left arm with one shot.

However, if the opponent were truly to fight him to the death, Sun Cheng would definitely turn and run without a second word.

Just kidding—he had only been in contact with the world of Mechanical Life for a few months; wanting to wrestle with a melee combat master like Bumblebee was just asking for an early death.

The standoff continued in a tense state. Sensing that Sam's arrival had caused Bumblebee to become somewhat distracted, and being very wary that the battle between them might harm Sam, he finally switched from offense to defense and quietly protected the American boy behind him. Sun Cheng felt a sense of relief in his heart and took the initiative to speak again.

"I came with sincerity; is this how you treat potential friends?"

"Shut up, Decepticon..."

Bumblebee retorted coldly with sarcasm: "A villain with hands stained in blood, who doesn't even spare the corpses of his own comrades—the Autobots disdain to cooperate with someone like you!"

Sun Cheng's expression shifted slightly; it was clear that Ratchet had already informed the other Autobot warriors about him cutting off Blackout's head.

This was not a good sign. Once it spread, not to mention whether Starscream and Soundwave would come to cause him trouble, what he worried about most was Shockwave—one had to know that Blackout was his trusted lieutenant.

Just thinking about the day when that military commander, who held the vast majority of the Decepticon Legion's armed forces, arrived on Earth and learned of this matter...

I am afraid that whether he, Sun Cheng, would have his life left in the future would be an unknown.

Deep down, he felt a faint regret for his hasty actions that day, but the moment this thought emerged, he immediately suppressed it.

What a joke; having traveled here from another world, he had started almost from zero. If not for the gains from the Battle of Las Vegas, heaven knows how many decades or centuries it would have been before he had the qualifications to stand before the Autobots and shout his own voice aloud.

Offended is offended; as his future self continues to develop, it is not impossible that he might go even further than them.

His eyes cleared instantly, and Sun Cheng retorted without hesitation: "Otherwise what? Leave the body of our race's proud warrior to be sold to humans for research, just like Lord Megatron? You shameless traitors..."

"Hmph... don't think the Autobots are as despicable as you Decepticons; Megatron has already been buried..."

Bumblebee's eyes were filled with anger, and he began to mock him almost as soon as his words were finished.

The next instant, he seemed to realize he had let something slip; clear annoyance was visible on his face, and when he raised his head to look at Sun Cheng again, the killing intent was no longer concealed.

Sun Cheng's heart jolted, and at the same time, his Core began to beat rapidly.

Megatron has been buried?!

This was an unexpected gain. Although he still held some doubts about Bumblebee's words, upon careful thought, this possibility really existed.

One must know that as the de facto Leader of the Decepticon Legion, after the Decepticon Legion won the second civil war and defeated the Autobots, forcing them to flee to the remote corners of the planet Cybertron and its satellites, it was no exaggeration to say that Megatron was the current King of Cybertron.

The Autobots might not have the slightest approval for the Decepticon rule, but they could never sit by and watch the remains of this King of Cybertron fall into the hands of humans to be studied at will.

After all, this was not only a desecration of the Decepticon Legion but also an insult to the civilization of Cybertron and to all Mechanical Life.

"It's just that I don't know if Megatron's Memory Chip has been destroyed..."

Some greed couldn't help but bubble up in his heart, and Sun Cheng took a great deal of effort to force these greedy thoughts down.

Not to mention that he could not yet determine the authenticity of this intelligence, the burial site of Megatron's remains would likely not be easy to find.

At this moment, after hurriedly gathering his thoughts, he raised his head and looked at Bumblebee again: "We both come from Cybertron. The Autobots are now preparing to settle on Earth. Earth is so big, can it not accommodate a few Decepticons? I come with a plea for peace; not every Decepticon only craves war..."

Bumblebee looked at him coldly, the expression on his face not changing in the slightest; clearly, he didn't believe a single punctuation mark of his words.

It was Sam, protected behind him, who poked his head out to look at him; although his eyes held fear and wariness, his mouth was slightly agape in surprise.

Bumblebee wasn't buying it, and Sun Cheng wasn't annoyed.

He had come today just to verify some conjectures, and now that the probing had turned into a battle, seeing that it was no longer feasible, he had no intention of staying any longer.

At that moment, he already had the intention to withdraw!

Yet, just as the thought emerged, Sun Cheng suddenly felt his Core, with all reconnaissance functions fully activated, sound a frantic warning.

His heart pounding wildly, he subconsciously leaped backward!

The next moment, a tall and mighty giant suddenly fell from a height of several hundred meters, carrying an unstoppable force, onto the spot where Sun Cheng had just been standing.

The red and blue colors on that giant's chassis were familiar and glaring; Sun Cheng looked closely—was it not the young Leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime?

Seeing that he hadn't crushed him, a cold light flashed in Optimus Prime's eyes. He raised his weapon and aimed it at Sun Cheng, his eyes filled with coldness and hatred; the icy killing intent made him feel as if his Core were freezing.

Sun Cheng's heart jumped, and he understood immediately.

Without another word, he leaped into the air, immediately transformed back into his Reaper Drone form, and then, with full power, flew off toward the distance.

He knew the Autobots' choice; there could only be enmity between him and the Autobots, and absolutely no possibility of becoming friends.

So, prepare for battle!

PS:

I went to get a haircut and took a shower after work, so I'm a bit late coming back. There will be another chapter in a while.
