Chapter 301: The Secret of the Space (Part II)

~7 min read 1,228 words

The Spherical Space hidden somewhere within his body is, without a doubt, filled with mysterious colors.

It granted Sun Cheng the ability to travel back and forth between two worlds, but although Sun Cheng has never stopped researching it, progress remains very slow.

That kind of mystery, which completely transcends Sun Cheng's understanding, cannot be deciphered by many means, at least not with the knowledge he currently possesses.

However, despite being incredibly mysterious, the help the Spherical Space provides him is undoubtedly enormous.

Not to mention the powerful ability that allows him to travel freely, the mere fact that it saved him twice from the hands of Starscream and Megatron has made Sun Cheng's reliance on it beyond imagination.

Closing his eyes and quickly casting aside the distracting thoughts in his mind, he attempted to call out to the Spherical Space.

After a good while, as a raw and eerie feeling surged into his heart, Sun Cheng moved his mind, and accompanied by a slight feeling of dizziness, he opened his eyes again once the sensation dissipated, only to find that he had already appeared within that familiar azure space.

Having returned to the Spherical Space once more, he frowned slightly as he looked at the dim blue light surrounding him.

When he returned to reality from the Transformers world a month ago, he had already checked this place.

It was clear that helping him resist Megatron's intrusion had consumed a significant amount of the energy stored in the space, to the point that the inseparable connection he had finally managed to establish with it had regressed to how it was long ago.

However, although Sun Cheng still hasn't figured out exactly what the Spherical Space absorbed from that piece of Ancient Amber he obtained on Nublar Island, that piece of amber clearly held extraordinary significance for the Spherical Space.

So much so that, even though the Spherical Space currently appears to be in a terrible state, its storage function has not disappeared, and even the area that expanded after absorbing the Ancient Amber has not decreased by even a fraction.

With his gaze lingering only briefly on the ball of light at the center of the space, Sun Cheng's eyes quickly moved past it to look in other directions.

A spacecraft lay quietly within the Spherical Space; its massive volume occupied more than a third of the entire Spherical Space, and it was none other than the spacecraft he had captured on Nublar Island, which originated from the extraterrestrial Hunter Civilization.

Looking at it, Sun Cheng's eyes flickered, and he thought for a good while before shifting his gaze away to look elsewhere.

Thanks to the diligent Decepticon Workers under his command, this small spaceship capable of traveling freely within the Solar System had already undergone a comprehensive modification.

It was equipped with an Intelligent Control System; aside from the most basic need to manually activate the power and systems, everything else could be operated via voice control.

However, due to the limitations of the model, this spaceship could only carry a maximum of three people after the modifications were completed.

It was not that Sun Cheng had not considered using Cybertronian technology to build a large spacecraft capable of traveling within the Solar System based on it.

It is just that the transition from small to large is as difficult as a human nation going from building thousand-ton frigates to tens of thousands of tons of aircraft carriers; everything from the power source to every individual part needs to be torn down and redesigned, and the time required is not measured in days, but in years.

Atlas had once clearly told Sun Cheng that their database did not contain even a shred of information regarding the construction of spacecraft; because they lacked experience, even the Decepticon Workers could only reverse-engineer the relevant manufacturing technology by digesting the ship he had captured from the Hunter Civilization.

The workload for this is immense, and even if he were to gather all the Workers under his command and stop them from their current tasks to deduce the relevant technology, it would likely take a considerable amount of time to achieve any results.

After all, that workload is truly not comparable to simply modifying the internal space and systems of a spaceship.

Sun Cheng clearly could not have the Workers pause their other tasks, so the work of deducing the technology for a large spacecraft was postponed indefinitely.

After the Workers completed the modifications to this spaceship according to his requirements, Sun Cheng transferred it into the Spherical Space.

At that time, he had already sensed that the Base he had located within the United States of the other world was in danger of being exposed at any moment, so he transferred it into the Spherical Space, where it has remained until now.

After his gaze lingered on the spaceship for a good while, Sun Cheng turned to other directions and looked at the few piles of scattered supplies not far from the ship, then floated toward the center of the Spherical Space.

At the center of the Spherical Space, the three light screens that had originally been there had completely disappeared after it absorbed that piece of Ancient Amber he obtained from Nublar Island last time.

Replacing them was a strange blue ball of light floating in mid-air; it appeared to be only the size of an adult's fist, yet it gave off an eerie, sacred feeling of being vast and inviolable!

With his previous experience, having learned that the disappearance of the light screens did not affect his ability to continue traveling back and forth between the two worlds, Sun Cheng had already calmly accepted the current changes to the Spherical Space.

Immediately, he attempted to use his ghost-like body to touch the strange blue ball of light floating in mid-air before him.

The moment the two touched, Sun Cheng felt as if a roar had suddenly erupted in his mind, and a massive amount of information immediately flooded into his head!

【Central Control Hub】

【Energy: 1371/5000.】

【Space: 2752m².】

【Locked Coordinates: Earth-1911, Transformers Macro-Universe.】

【Integrated Worlds: Jurassic Park, Predator, Command & Conquer: Generals.】

【Upcoming Integrated World: Unknown (151:17:54:29).】

Standing quietly not far in front of the ball of light, Sun Cheng quickly finished organizing the information in his mind, and a slight smile appeared on his face.

"Sure enough, my guess was correct!"

A long time ago, Sun Cheng had noticed that the several light screens within the Spherical Space had always displayed several sets of different numbers.

After slow deciphering, he had managed to estimate the meaning represented by almost every set of numbers.

Among them were the numbers representing energy.

Although it had been some time since he discovered this uninvited guest—the Spherical Space—within his body, Sun Cheng's understanding of this mysterious space that had changed his destiny remained limited.

Why it suddenly appeared in his body, and why it possessed the ability to let people travel through worlds—these unsolved mysteries had completely exceeded his understanding.

However, Sun Cheng was not without a clue.

For example, before returning to the real world last time, he had conducted a special experiment to figure out the energy absorption mechanism of the Spherical Space.

After many days, he had finally managed to grasp some of the ways it worked.
