Yindu Yang, Diego Garcia.
Inside the primary overseas military base of the NEST unit.
Optimus Prime looked on with a grim expression at the dozens of United States military anti-tank armored vehicles and tanks tightly surrounding them; high above in the sky, more than a dozen armed helicopters were circling.
"Hey... hey..."
NEST unit Commander, Lieutenant Colonel William, hurried over upon hearing the news and saw this tense, sword-drawn scene.
He quickly walked between the two confronting groups, first giving Optimus Prime a "let me handle this" gesture, then immediately shouted, "Everyone stand down... stand down... who ordered you to point your weapons at our allies..."
His voice caused the Autobots, who had already begun to assemble and mostly shifted into combat forms, to suppress their anger slightly.
After all, the Autobots had been cooperating with Lieutenant Colonel William and his men for over a year, and throughout that time, Lieutenant Colonel William had always stood firmly on the side of the Autobots.
If Sam was the flagpole the Autobots had erected to express goodwill toward the United States government.
Then Lieutenant Colonel William and several other NEST commanders were the human allies the Autobots had effectively cultivated.
However, despite Lieutenant Colonel William and other NEST commanders arriving in time, this group of United States soldiers surrounding the Autobots did not buy their act.
Even more, squads of fully armed United States soldiers stepped out from the armored vehicles, hiding behind the tanks and armored vehicles, aiming their guns, grenade launchers, and shoulder-fired anti-tank rockets at all the Autobots present.
Seeing this, Lieutenant Colonel William's expression became even uglier.
"Hey, tell your men to put their weapons down!"
He saw a United States Marine Corps Major Commander and quickly trotted over to order him angrily.
As a result, that Marine Major flatly refused him.
"Sorry, Lieutenant Colonel, there is nothing I can do about this. If you have anything to say, you had better go talk to him!"
The Marine Major tilted his head toward an armed Humvee that had just stopped nearby, and Lieutenant Colonel William immediately knew that a big shot had arrived.
But when the car door opened and he saw the face of the person who had arrived, Lieutenant Colonel William's expression immediately turned grim, "Trouble!"
And in fact, it was exactly as he had thought.
"Lieutenant Colonel, have your men stand down immediately. The NEST unit has been disbanded. From this moment on, I order you to terminate all operations against the Decepticons!"
Stepping out of the armed Humvee was a somewhat bald white man whose face was not unfamiliar to everyone present.
United States Secretary of State Galloway, who had twice been ordered to visit the NEST military base on Diego Garcia.
Galloway was also one of the politicians in the United States most opposed to cooperating with the Autobots; even if Lieutenant Colonel William were no longer sensitive to politics, he could guess that his appearance here was definitely not a good sign.
The Decepticons had just appeared before the world with great fanfare, and the Second Fleet had been completely wiped out under their attack.
Based on Lieutenant Colonel William's understanding of domestic politicians, the possibility was extremely high that they had suddenly jumped out, prepared to break the contract to separate the United States from the Autobots, and then sit back and watch the Autobots and Decepticons fight each other.
However, he still held a glimmer of hope and said, biting the bullet: "Sorry, sir. NEST only accepts the Joint Chiefs of Staff..."
Before Lieutenant Colonel William could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Galloway, whose face was dark.
"The Joint Chiefs of Staff will convene immediately, and I will formally notify them at the meeting... Now, Lieutenant Colonel. This is an order from the President, authorizing me to take full command..."
He sneered and glanced at Optimus Prime, who had been silent not far away, his voice rising a notch: "Neither the Autobots nor the Decepticons belong to our Earth; they are alien invaders. Now they even intend to start a war on Earth—are we still supposed to let United States soldiers bleed and sacrifice for the civil war of these invaders..."
He stared straight at Optimus Prime, making no effort to hide his hostility.
"You damn guys have ruined everything... now every country knows about you and the Decepticons, and they even wantonly attacked our Second Fleet... This is war, a war between us and you damn aliens... We will be like in the past, we will surely achieve victory in the war..."
Galloway had said so much in one breath that he was inevitably a little tired.
He took a few breaths to calm his heaving chest before continuing: "I came here today to bring the United States' ultimatum!"
"Autobots, if you want to continue to receive the protection of the United States!"
He looked at Optimus Prime with an unquestionable expression: "Either fully obey our command, or hand over that boy named Sam, and get out of Earth!"
Optimus Prime sighed helplessly; from the very first contact, he had sensed the greed hidden in the bones of this human nation called the United States.
According to their subsequent investigations, although the United States prided itself on being the world's police, over ninety percent of the wars and chaos on Earth were caused by the politicians and interest groups of this country behind the scenes.
Initially, based on the principle that human affairs had nothing to do with them, and because the United States was the most powerful human nation on Earth, they had chosen to form an alliance with the United States.
Afterward, to maintain this fragile alliance, Optimus Prime and the Autobots had even made concessions many times.
Now it seemed that he, this Autobot Leader, had made a huge mistake in his youth.
Forming an alliance with such a greedy country was not even as good as cooperating with Decepticons like Frenzy.
At least Frenzy always put his schemes out in the open, far less insatiable and pushy than the Americans.
"So, what is your choice?"
Galloway sneered as he looked at Optimus Prime; he seemed to have the Autobots cornered.
"You will regret this, human!"
Optimus Prime was silent for a moment before slowly answering.
He knew that everything was already beyond saving, and he did not want to concede any further.
After answering Galloway, Optimus Prime ignored his increasingly gloomy and ugly expression, turned to look at the Autobots gathering around him, and said aloud: "Autobots, humans have torn up the cooperation agreement between us... All Autobots, prepare to withdraw from the base and the United States... We will not stay on Earth for long, but before that, let us first wipe out all the Decepticons who have invaded Earth."
"Long live the Autobots!" Ironhide roared loudly, "Long live Optimus Prime!"
With his hot temper, he had long been holding back a belly full of anger at the United States government's bossiness.
"Long live the Autobots!"
"Long live the Autobots!"
"Long live Optimus Prime!"
Accompanied by the roars from different Autobots, all the Autobots present transformed back into their vehicle forms in unison.
Amidst the rumbling of engines, led by Optimus Prime, they drove toward the seaside through the gap he had unhesitatingly smashed through a United States armored vehicle.
Lieutenant Colonel William watched the departing Autobot convoy and muttered, "The world is about to change!"
