Chapter 659: Meeting in Person (Third Update)
A familiar drone, just as it entered the territory of Soli, was still four or five hundred kilometers away from the Autobot's temporary base.
The advanced air defense early warning system that Wheeljack had just manufactured and deployed within the temporary base began to emit a harsh alarm.
Optimus Prime was leading a team of Autobots, carrying equipment weighing several tons on their shoulders, and was in the middle of setting it up on the perimeter of the temporary base.
The moment the alarm sounded, he looked up at the sky.
Placing the equipment on the sand nearby, he pressed one hand to his ear and asked on the base's newly opened communication channel: "The air defense alarm is sounding, what's the situation?"
The Autobot responsible for the base's security, Checkers, quickly answered his question.
"Leader, a drone has appeared from the direction of Ethiopia, entering the territory of Soli... Judging by the flight path, it will pass over our temporary base in twenty-one minutes..."
"A drone!"
Optimus Prime instantly thought of the figure of a certain Decepticon, and recalled the video of the conflict between him and The Fallen that Frenzy had sent over half a month ago, while he and the main force of the Autobots were away from the temporary base; after only a brief moment of contemplation, he said to the few Autobots beside him, "You all carry on, I'm going back to the command center!"
"Leave it to us, Leader!"
This young Autobot leader had always had a very approachable style; during the time spent expanding the temporary base in the past, he had worked busily alongside the other Autobot civilians almost every day, earning a great deal of popular support.
Optimus Prime nodded; at this moment, his mind was filled with thoughts regarding Frenzy, and he soon returned to the command center, where a group of high-ranking commanders still at the temporary base had all gathered.
"Leader, that drone is already only a little over three hundred kilometers away from us. Judging by the model, it's an American Global Hawk. Should we shoot it down?"
The arrival of Wheeljack had brought changes to this Autobot temporary base located on Earth that could only be described as a leap forward.
Although the vast majority of Cybertronians could, due to their special body structures, modify and upgrade ordinary equipment into higher-level items.
Yet, products modified by non-professionals were far inferior to those of professional technical personnel in every aspect.
Let alone a great scientist like Wheeljack; after some simple refining of minerals, they could quickly be transformed by his hands into advanced equipment that was at least several decades ahead of Earth's current technology.
The one who asked whether to shoot down the drone was Drift; he had recognized the drone, which looked exactly like the U. S. military's Global Hawk Unmanned Reconnaissance Aircraft.
Drift had only arrived on Earth a little over two months ago, and arriving with him was another Triple Changer—Desert Storm.
As for the Americans, Drift now had no good feelings at all, only hatred and disgust.
This actually couldn't be blamed on him, because not long after Drift arrived on Earth, the Americans forced the Autobots to hand over Sam, attempting to sue for peace with the Decepticons invading Earth, which ultimately led to the complete end of the cooperation between the Autobots and them.
Not long after that, in Jordan, they were stabbed in the back by the U. S. military again; many Autobots did not die at the hands of The Fallen and the Decepticons, but instead lost their lives to the U. S. military's massive bombing, and their remains were even shipped back to the United States for dissection and research afterward.
Among that group of Autobots, the last three to be rescued were Drift, Sideswipe, and Chromia.
When Optimus Prime led the Autobot rescue team to the Lockheed Martin Laboratory that was studying them, the remains of the three unlucky ones had already been divided into several parts and were undergoing testing and analysis by human technicians.
This was also the reason why Ironhide, in a fit of rage at the time, had blown up the Skunk Works.
This short-tempered Autobot commander would be angry because his girlfriend—Chromia—had been tragically dissected and studied by the Americans.
One could imagine the attitude of the two parties involved, Drift and Sideswipe.
Sideswipe had left briefly a while ago, going to Egypt and Kenya without a word; in his rage, he struck without mercy, destroying three U. S. military bases. Although only a little over a thousand U. S. troops were killed or injured, the three military bases that the Yankees had operated in Africa for many years could no longer be used.
Although after returning, Sideswipe was immediately punished by Leader Optimus Prime with three days of confinement, he could be considered to have vented the pent-up anger in his heart.
But Drift was not as lucky as him; there were few Autobot warriors skilled in aerial combat, and Drift, as a Triple Changer, was the one among the Autobot warriors currently on Earth who possessed the strongest aerial combat capability.
Therefore, after being re-Awakened, Drift only received a few days of rest before being arranged by Optimus Prime to protect the safety of the airspace around the temporary base.
During this time, unable to take revenge for his grievances and unable to vent his anger, this Triple Changer, who didn't have a good temper to begin with, was stifled.
So, upon hearing that the drone invading the airspace was suspected to be a U. S. military-equipped Global Hawk, he immediately displayed a strong fighting spirit.
For a moment, Optimus Prime did seriously consider whether, if that drone was an American Global Hawk, he should destroy it to prevent them from discovering the temporary base.
However, in the end, he shook his head and refused, "Wait a moment first. I have a premonition that this drone might have been sent by Frenzy!"
"Frenzy?"
Drift and the others frowned slightly, but in the end, they didn't say anything more.
Toward the Decepticons, almost the vast majority of Autobots had an innate hatred and disgust.
But facing Frenzy, these Autobot warriors who had been on Earth for some time and had dealt with him a few times, although they would still look at him with disgust, the hatred had already faded a lot.
Not to mention that the Autobots' current temporary base had something to do with him; just the supplies and energy he had gifted to the Autobots in two batches over the past few months were enough to prove that this Decepticon, at least for now, did not have much malice toward them.
Wheeljack had already heard about Frenzy over the past few days, and upon hearing this, he also became interested.
"I heard you mention before that Jetfire is also with Frenzy and the others now? Is this confirmed?"
Wheeljack was also an Autobot born at the end of the Council of Ancients; like Jetfire, he had once studied at the Zhelasasi Higher Technical Institute where Shockwave served as a teacher.
Come to think of it, he and Jetfire were former classmates, and he still had some understanding of Jetfire's personality.
"Jetfire is not a heinous Decepticon; he is full of disgust for war and politics. Back when the Council of Ancients shut down the Zhelasasi Higher Technical Institute and dealt with Shockwave and the others, Jetfire and I had already left the institute for some time. So if he is still alive now, I can be very certain that he is absolutely not a warmonger!"
During the argument, the drone had already arrived in the airspace a few dozen kilometers away from the temporary base, circling in the air and sending a request for communication into the Autobot base.
"I am Frenzy, here to pay a visit and discuss matters in detail, requesting to open the airspace!"
After circling for a while, having received the Autobots' affirmation, the drone then continued to fly forward, and after reaching the designated location, it slowly descended, and after a squirming motion on the ground, it transformed into a two-meter-tall Decepticon.
And he was none other than Sun Cheng.
More accurately, it was a Decepticon body controlled by Sun Cheng.

Thank you to the two readers "Wen Zhu Xin Tiao" and "Pin Wei Qing Huai" for their tips and support, thank you very much.
I just noticed that "Wen Zhu Xin Tiao" has given me the second alliance leader of my life. Alright, international convention: ten chapters released at once. It seems I'll be busy for a while.
Thanks again to "Wen Zhu Xin Tiao" for the alliance leader tip!
