Chapter 679: A Complete Victory (Third Update) Seeking Subscriptions

~7 min read 1,386 words

The Autobots are here!

The distance from Ilha da Racha to Trindade Island is only a little over thirty kilometers, even though the Autobots acted very cautiously.

Even Drift, who possesses flight capabilities, did not rush ahead, but instead advanced together with the main force.

Yet, the Autobots only spent a dozen minutes or so covering this short distance.

It seems long, but one must remember they swam over from the sea.

Of course, the delay was not without a sense of vigilance.

Just as Sun Cheng never fully trusted the Autobots, they surely held the same view.

The scream came from Crankcase.

Thunderhead, Pioneer, and Swindle had successfully engaged the Ravage and Laserbeak from the 【Cassette Corps】, as well as Crankcase and the Drifter who arrived later with Astrotrain.

Seven Decepticons from different factions were locked in a fierce battle for their respective forces and beliefs, unleashing all sorts of insidious and ruthless tactics.

By the time the Autobots landed, what they saw were seven Decepticons, all of whom were wounded.

The arrival of Optimus Prime and his team drew vigilance from both sides.

However, Pioneer and his companions only raised their guard slightly; conversely, Ravage and the others, who had been fighting them for half a day, shifted their focus of vigilance toward the Autobots the moment they appeared.

Thunderhead would never miss such a good opportunity; having already had one arm bitten off by Ravage, he took advantage of Crankcase being distracted by Optimus Prime and his team to strike him hard in the back with a shot.

The power of the Plasma Cannon blast caused the hit Crankcase to scream as he was sent flying over ten meters away, landing just not far from Sideswipe.

This Autobot Warrior snorted coldly, brandishing two Triangular Blades in his hands, slicing one across Crankcase's neck and stabbing the other into his chest.

The screaming stopped abruptly; the Terrorcons were completely wiped out.

Satisfied, Sideswipe performed a flourish with his blades before sheathing them.

One of his Triangular Blades had been snatched away by Sun Cheng over a year ago when he attacked Base No. 1.

That blade had been studied by Sun Cheng's Decepticon Engineers for a time, as he had intended to use it to forge a suitable weapon for himself.

However, soon after the Engineers created metal with superior properties to the Triangular Blade, this weapon became one of his many collectibles.

It was only recently, when he voluntarily offered to return the remains of Mudflap, that Sun Cheng dug it out from a corner of his Spherical Space.

Feeling that he had no use for it anyway, and that keeping it would only keep the Autobot Sideswipe fixated on him,

Sun Cheng simply returned the Triangular Blade to Sideswipe when he went to deliver Mudflap's remains last time.

It was just a collectible anyway; even if it couldn't win hearts, understanding the grudge between him and Sideswipe was enough.

Sideswipe's strike was undoubtedly the clarion call for the Autobots to join the fray.

Without needing a signal from Sun Cheng, Optimus Prime, whose mind was filled with concerns for his teacher, Sentinel Prime, immediately summoned his Heavy Sword and charged toward Sun Cheng the moment he noticed him locked in a fierce battle with Soundwave and Astrotrain hundreds of meters away.

Ironhide, Drift, Jolt, and Ratchet followed firmly behind him.

After Optimus Prime had been surrounded and attacked previously, his lieutenants had each realized their negligence in protecting their Leader.

Therefore, even though they now discovered that Optimus Prime, having obtained the Matrix of Leadership, was gradually becoming stronger than before, their close-quarters protection of him was even more diligent than before.

The remaining Autobots, led by Sideswipe and Bumblebee, joined the battle to surround Ravage and the others.

The three Decepticons—Pioneer and his companions—tacitly withdrew from the battle; they were all wounded from the previous fighting, and with the Autobots' support, they could finally rest and recover their state.

Regarding the cooperation between Sun Cheng and the Autobots, Thunderhead and Pioneer had been notified in advance and remained quite calm.

Swindle, on the other hand, gripped his weapon tightly with an uneasy expression.

"The Autobots... they aren't attacking us?"

The civil war between the Decepticon Legion and the Autobots, lasting for millions of years, had long filled both races with mutual hostility.

Although Swindle had previously sensed that Sun Cheng had some unclear relationship with the Autobots, because Sun Cheng had not fully trusted him at the time, most of his contacts and cooperation with the Autobots were conducted behind his back.

It was no wonder, then, that Swindle felt such excitement, panic, and confusion upon suddenly seeing the Autobots arrive on the island to help them surround and kill the attacking Decepticons.

One of Pioneer's fingers transformed into a welding torch, spraying blue flames as he performed welding repairs on the several wounds on his lower abdomen that had just been clawed open by Ravage.

Hearing this, he didn't even look up as he explained: "The Master has reached a cooperation with the Autobots; the Autobots are here to help us take out Soundwave and the others!"

Having been by Sun Cheng's side the longest, Pioneer was the one who understood him best and was also the most loyal to him.

Perhaps it was due to the control measures Sun Cheng had left in his Core at his creation, combined with the subtle influence he had exerted over time.

Pioneer had been striving to emulate Sun Cheng for a long time; from his conduct to his thought patterns, he gradually began to mirror him.

It was hard to say if it was good or bad, but it allowed him to grasp deeper things in many situations by simply imitating Sun Cheng's way of thinking with very little information.

In Pioneer's view, since the Autobots had agreed to come and help, the Master must have successfully persuaded them.

Since Sun Cheng had not warned them beforehand to be wary of a potential Autobot attack, there was a high probability that the Master was confident the Autobots would not suddenly turn their guns on them.

Therefore, he only maintained a slight degree of vigilance and did not show any hostility toward the Autobots.

With the addition of the dozen or so Autobot elites led by Optimus Prime, the battle quickly became one-sided.

Under the siege of the nine Autobot Warriors led by Sideswipe, the Drifter was the first to let out a scream before his neck was severed by Backfire's Long Sword, and he lost all signs of life.

Laserbeak was the second Decepticon to die; while dodging a Grenade from an Autobot Breacher, it was pierced through the body by the Triangular Blade thrown by Sideswipe and plunged headlong into a valley dozens of meters away.

Ravage was a rare combat powerhouse within the 【Cassette Corps】.

Originating from the Predacon race, there were not many among Advanced Warriors who could defeat Ravage in a one-on-one situation.

This creature's beast-like appearance made it seem unintelligent, but in reality, it was one of the few great intellects within the 【Cassette Corps】.

The moment it saw the Autobots suddenly appear and land on the island, it had already attempted to break out.

Unfortunately, it was facing Autobots who were not inferior to it in strength and were ten times its number.

After several failed attempts, just as it was relying on its agile movements to dodge desperately while thinking about how to retreat,

Nearby, a voice it knew all too well let out an angry roar, and then fell silent forever.

Ravage hurriedly distracted itself to look over, and when it saw Frenzy, with a sinister grin, slowly pulling the Ship-Slaying Blade out of the chest of the Commander—Soundwave—its heart sank.

Immediately, it felt its consciousness snap, and its vision began to change strangely.

It was only when its head fell seven or eight meters away, watching its own body slowly collapse and Sideswipe still maintaining his blade-swinging posture, that Ravage finally understood.

"So I have died too!"

Consciousness, lost!

PS:

There was only one update the day before yesterday; this chapter is to make up for that day. I still owe 9 chapters for the alliance leader's explosive update, which will start tomorrow.
