Chapter 953: Destruction (Part 2)
"Sentinel Prime is dead?"
On an arsenal ship converted from a Kirov-class nuclear-powered cruiser, Sun Cheng and several of his Elite Warriors stared blankly at the light screen.
When Base No. 2 was first established, Sun Cheng ordered the Central Main Control Intelligence within the base to build and gradually refine a database targeting Autobots and Decepticons.
Although neither he nor his subordinates had ever faced Sentinel Prime.
Yet, as the former Leader of the Autobots and the most powerful Leader-class Warrior of Cybertron, even if Base No. 2 did not have more detailed data on him for further comparison.
Sun Cheng still classified him as the strongest Leader based on some of the information he had collected.
But now, this strongest Leader-class Warrior had fallen right before their eyes.
"Sentinel Prime is dead!"
Although still shocked, Sun Cheng recovered much faster than the warriors under his command.
While his gaze remained fixed on the images continuously transmitted by the drone on the light screen, his brain was already spinning rapidly.
Sentinel Prime was undoubtedly one of the most significant unstable factors on Earth right now.
His death meant that from now on, there would no longer be a second voice within the Autobots.
With Optimus Prime's current strength, all opponents had only two choices: submit or be expelled.
And Sun Cheng had always shown sufficient friendliness when dealing with Optimus Prime.
He believed that given his consistent behavior, their relationship with the Autobots would become much better in the future.
As for the so-called alliance, Sun Cheng had stopped forcing it ever since he began organizing Cybertronian history.
The grievances between the Decepticons and the Autobots caused by racial conflict were far more complex than he had imagined.
Since some things would cause many ripples if forced, and were not absolutely essential,
in Sun Cheng's view, it was better to just let nature take its course.
However!
As his gaze swept across the light screen again, watching the deteriorating combat situation in Cairo, Sun Cheng watched quietly for a few seconds before suddenly saying, "Notify the others, have Hailishi and the arsenal ships prepare for battle!"
Thunder felt a jolt, nodded, and immediately placed a hand on his ear while issuing an order on the regional command channel: "Commander's order, prepare for battle!"
In order to focus on cultivating some of his commanders, Sun Cheng rarely directed specific operations directly now, leaving everything to the commanders under his command.
Immediately, Decepticons began controlling the drones to increase altitude to avoid being accidentally hit in the upcoming attack.
Seeing the images on the light screen beginning to blur, Sun Cheng thought for a moment and also spoke on the command channel: "Have the drone send a warning message to Optimus Prime; we are about to launch a blanket strike on all Decepticon clones and Quintesson soldiers in Cairo. Notify him and the Autobots to take cover!"
"Yes!"
After the Decepticon responsible for operating the drone replied, the drone's ascent paused for a moment.
Soon, in the images transmitted back to the light screen, Sun Cheng saw Optimus Prime suddenly look up and nod slightly at the drone without saying a word.
It was clear that Optimus Prime accepted this favor.
"Then, let's end this chaos!"
Following Sun Cheng's order, the water around several ships in the Mediterranean Sea, which had been in a state of optical stealth, rippled and gradually vanished.
At the same time, from Hailishi and the four arsenal ships, sets of vertical missile launch system hatches opened, and hundreds of missiles were quickly transferred from the ammunition depots into the launch tubes via the internal transfer systems.
The satellites and drones hanging high in the sky fed the coordinates of the Decepticon clones and suspected Quintesson soldiers locked onto in Cairo back to the Mediterranean Sea hundreds of kilometers away.
As the countdown ended, missiles shot into the sky one after another.
Although Sun Cheng was not a kind person, he was not a bloodthirsty one either.
The first wave of missiles attacking Cairo were all electromagnetic pulse bombs.
While these weapons would cause great damage to electronic products, they were almost harmless to the human body.
Traveling at speeds exceeding Mach 10, the first wave of hundreds of electromagnetic pulse bombs quickly tore through the sky, flying toward Cairo.
In Cairo, Optimus Prime, having received the notification from Frenzy's drone, looked silently at his former mentor, whom he had just stabbed to death with his sword.
There was sadness on his face, but not a shred of guilt.
Optimus Prime knew that his former mentor had completely fallen.
Back when he learned from Frenzy that he might have reached some secret agreement with his enemy, the Decepticon Legion.
Although Optimus Prime was skeptical at the time, as the leader of the Autobot faction, he had indeed begun to consider the pros and cons from that moment on.
Because of Frenzy, he did not harbor hatred for all Decepticons now, but Sentinel Prime's cooperation with his enemy Megatron still made Optimus Prime very unhappy.
Yet even then, the methods Optimus Prime could think of to deal with Sentinel Prime were only persuasion or expulsion; he had no intention of taking his life.
Until he witnessed with his own eyes that his former mentor, after scheming against both the Autobots and the Decepticons, had madly chosen to cooperate with the Quintessons.
Facing the foreign enemy that had once colonized the planet Cybertron, cruelly plundering, slaughtering, and modifying countless Cybertronians, Optimus Prime had no choice but to kill Sentinel Prime after his attempts at persuasion failed.
"Teacher, rest in peace. I will surely lead the Autobots to find a bright path, and I will not walk down a side path like you!"
Releasing a few electromagnetic waves to probe the nearby streets, the thousands of Autobots, Decepticon clones, and Quintesson soldiers engaged in battle appeared one by one in Optimus Prime's mind.
He had dealt with Frenzy many times and had also paid attention to how Frenzy handled Decepticon Legion attacks on several occasions.
Having just received the other party's notification, he knew they were about to launch a destructive strike on the Decepticon clones and Quintesson soldiers in Cairo, which would inevitably involve the use of electromagnetic pulse weapons—a type of mass-destruction weapon that all silicon-based lifeforms detested.
"Ironhide, Ratchet... notify all Autobots to temporarily disengage from combat and rendezvous with me... I have received notification from Frenzy that they are about to launch a strike on the Decepticon clones and Quintesson soldiers in the city..."
"All Autobots, listen up. Sentinel Prime has been executed by me for colluding with the Quintessons... I, Optimus Prime, will resume the position of Autobot leader... All Autobots, move toward me immediately..."
"Repeating, all Autobots, listen up. Sentinel Prime has been executed by me for colluding with the Quintessons... I, Optimus Prime, will resume the position of Autobot leader... All Autobots, move toward me immediately..."
"Received!"
"Yes!"
PS:
Sorry, the National Day holiday is approaching, and there have been too many things going on in reality lately, so I've broken my streak for two days again.
