Chapter 993: Invitation

"Unreasonable brat, you detestable Decepticon punk!"

As soon as Jetfire saw Sun Cheng arrive, he immediately began to curse with an angry expression on his face.

Sun Cheng, however, looked at him with a calm expression!

Regarding the fact that Jetfire would discover his Memory Data had been accessed, he was actually not surprised at all.

Currently, much of the Cybertron Technology at Base No. 2 was read by Sun Cheng from his Memory Data, then initially organized by him, and finally uploaded to the base's database for the Decepticon engineers under his command to study, digest, and research further.

In a sense, the source of over forty percent of the cutting-edge technology in the entire base currently points back to Jetfire.

With Jetfire's intelligence, it was easy for him to discover the issue with just a little investigation.

Sun Cheng had never considered deliberately hiding this matter; otherwise, he would not have opened up almost all permissions within Base No. 2 to Jetfire.

He looked at Jetfire, who was angry but had no intention of attacking him, and asked in return: "Are you referring to the prying into your Memory Data?"

Jetfire's face grew even darker; he let out a cold snort and said nothing more.

Sun Cheng just smiled slightly: "Sir, when we were searching for partners on Earth, we captured your electromagnetic spectrum. At the time, we didn't even know who you were, or if you were worth saving..."

He spoke very plainly and very coldly.

Jetfire frowned slightly, but unexpectedly did not refute Sun Cheng.

Having experienced the revolution and the early stages of the civil war, Jetfire still remembered how cruel those wars on Cybertron had been.

In the early stages of the civil war, the battles between the Decepticons and the Autobots could even muster millions of troops.

Massive war legions fought on a battlefield on Cybertron that was even larger than the South America they were currently in.

Countless spaceships bombarded from the air, while on the ground, amidst the coverage of various fortress artillery, they launched death charges.

Under the intensity of such a war, the casualties of the Cybertronians could be imagined.

Although Jetfire left the planet Cybertron to wander not long after the civil war began.

But over the past millions of years, he had always been paying attention to the situation of his home planet.

It could be said that only by experiencing war and death can one understand how insignificant life is.

And Jetfire was undoubtedly a wise man.

More than a hundred years ago, when he learned from another Wanderer that the civil war on the home planet Cybertron had ended, and that the Decepticons had won, Jetfire had already reached the end of his life, and even his body had begun to decay extensively.

So regardless of Sun Cheng's purpose in bringing him back from the edge of death, to Jetfire, he was his benefactor.

It was just that while everyone understands the logic, whenever Jetfire thought about how many of his secrets were now known to others, he felt a surge of evil fire rushing straight to his head!

His face was twisted with anger.

Sun Cheng watched him with narrowed eyes, having actually prepared for battle.

He did indeed value Jetfire, but if this Decepticon in front of him could not distinguish between what was important and did not know how to be grateful.

Then, even if Jetfire was a great Scientist from the peak era of Cybertronian civilization, he would not give Jetfire any more chances.

Fortunately, after gritting his teeth for a while, Jetfire finally just let out a cold snort and turned his head away.

In an instant, Sun Cheng also relaxed his combat readiness, and a bit more of a smile appeared on his face.

"I know that reading part of your memory, sir, was indeed inappropriate, and I solemnly apologize to you here."

Since Jetfire had softened his stance, Sun Cheng naturally had to give the other party a way to step down.

And strictly speaking, this matter was indeed his own fault.

If he put himself in that position, if someone had pried into Sun Cheng's memory, he would have launched an endless pursuit of that person without hesitation until he had completely ground the other party to dust.

Therefore, by analogy, he had to provide this step for Jetfire.

"When we first discovered you, sir, your chassis had basically decayed. With the technology and resources we had at the time, we truly did not have the ability to save you. I believe you should already know this, as it took us more than two years in total from the time we discovered you to save you!"

"Moreover, I can guarantee you, sir. Only I have accessed part of your memory information within the base; all the technologies that other Decepticons have learned were organized by myself and uploaded directly into the database."

Jetfire let out another soft snort, but his expression softened somewhat.

He knew that Sun Cheng was not lying!

As a great Scientist, Jetfire's Brain recorded a massive amount of black technology from the peak of Cybertronian civilization.

Before falling into a deep sleep, although he no longer held expectations for the future, he had still performed some protective procedures for his body.

Combined with the permissions Sun Cheng opened for him at Base No. 2, Jetfire was able to browse enough information.

Although he still felt dissatisfied in his heart that part of his memory had been pried into.

However, knowing that his memory was only known to this young junior in front of him, whom even he could not fathom.

Finally, pinching his nose, Jetfire decided to turn the page.

"Sir, please!"

Seeing his expression soften, Sun Cheng knew that this matter could be considered temporarily concluded.

He made a gesture of invitation and took the lead in inviting Jetfire into the Academy of Sciences.

After this Sub-base was designated as the Academy of Sciences, many Decepticon Senior Engineers and engineers within Base No. 2 had made extensive modifications to it according to their own preferences.

The main building of the Academy of Sciences was located within a nearby cliff face, extending outward for a distance, looking like an irregular semi-arc building.

Just like other places, the Decepticon aesthetic resulted in this building being filled with a large number of metal outer walls and pillars; almost every Laboratory and lounge looked as if, besides being large, it was almost entirely wrapped in metal.

Atlas also came out to greet them; he had been the one responsible for receiving Jetfire during this recent period.

"You come along too; there are just some things I need to discuss with you all!"

This was not Sun Cheng's first time at the Academy of Sciences, and he held the highest authority within Base No. 2, allowing him to enter and exit freely wherever he pleased.

Therefore, he skillfully found a spacious lounge within the Academy of Sciences and brought Jetfire and Atlas inside together.

As soon as the door to the lounge closed, Sun Cheng did not hesitate and looked straight at Jetfire, issuing an invitation.

"Sir Jetfire, I believe that during this time, you should have gained some understanding of the situation here on Earth, as well as our home planet, Cybertron."

Jetfire nodded; although his expression remained unhappy, he no longer displayed such deliberate hostility.

Seeing that he did not respond but was listening, Sun Cheng already had an idea in his mind.

He took a look at Atlas, then continued: "The civil war between the Decepticons and the Autobots has caused our glorious Cybertron civilization to become a thing of the past."

"Megatron may be a qualified military leader, but he is by no means a qualified Leader."

"Decepticons like me, who are tired of endless war and slaughter, are by no means a minority within the Decepticon Legion."

"We are dissatisfied with Megatron's brutal rule, and because of our status, we are also rejected by the Autobots."

"Therefore, I made a decision: to defect from the Decepticon Legion and strike out on my own, establishing a brand-new faction."

"And now, I sincerely extend an invitation to you, Lord Jetfire, hoping that you will stay and become one of us."
