Chapter 370: Earning another forty million while shedding tears, the Shushan plot begins!

The night grew dark.

Hengdian.

The *Chinese Paladin 3* crew began to wrap up.

Because they often managed to get a scene done in one take, the *Chinese Paladin 3* crew didn't have to work overtime very often.

This made other crews extremely envious.

One must know that many crews filmed from day into night, sometimes even continuing deep into the early hours.

……

On Weibo.

The number one trending topic.

The search term for *Chinese Paladin 1* was hanging high at the top.

【The dual-platform first-day viewership for *Chinese Paladin 1* exceeded 180 million, setting a record for web-streamed dramas.】

Under the trending topic, netizens were discussing it fervently.

"I contributed to that 180 million!"

"This show is too good, so good it's addictive. I'm going crazy cheering for *Chinese Paladin* and Jiang Yu!"

"It's good, but it's not enough to watch! They only update two episodes a day, can't they update more?"

"And they always cut off at the most critical moment! It leaves me hanging, feeling like I'm dying of anticipation. As expected of the novel-writing Lady Jiang, this cliffhanger skill is truly something."

"Li Xiaoyao is such a scumbag! Ling'er has turned into a snake demon, and you're still there getting married to Lin Yueru! It's infuriating!"

"Correction: the latest episode explains it. Zhao Linger isn't a snake demon; she is a descendant of the Earth Mother, Nuwa. Because she is pregnant, she transformed into her true Nuwa form, which is a human body with a snake tail."

"That makes Li Xiaoyao even more of a scumbag! I'm shaking with rage! My heart aches for Ling'er, my heart aches for Jiang Yu."

"……"

"By the way, what was the first-day viewership for *Divine Sword Immortal Fate*?"

"It seems to be over twenty million. No need to look, it's completely incomparable."

"Anyway, after watching *Chinese Paladin*, I can't get into *Divine Sword* at all. The plot is like it was written by a brain-damaged person. Unlike *Chinese Paladin*, where you can never guess what the plot will be next—this feeling is just so damn satisfying!"

"In terms of looks, it's also a total crush. Jiang Yu's beauty could take on all the female characters in *Divine Sword* combined."

"180 million in first-day views, this show is truly legendary!"

"This is the most 'Xianxia-flavored' Xianxia drama I have ever watched."

"……"

And in the film and television industry, it was also a shock!

Countless professionals were stunned by the explosive first-day viewership!

"Holy crap, 180 million? What kind of god-tier performance is this?"

"It's already a massive hit."

"It's too terrifying."

"I heard that recently, major satellite TV stations have been fighting like crazy for the first-round broadcast rights of *Chinese Paladin*, to the point of drawing blood."

"That's for sure, the major stations aren't blind. Although *Chinese Paladin* is currently airing on web platforms, it hasn't been broadcast on satellite TV yet. Once it hits the airwaves, there will still be many viewers watching. The first-day viewership has already proven the excellence of *Chinese Paladin*."

"Who was it earlier saying they didn't understand Xianxia? You call this 'not understanding Xianxia'?"

"Awesome, simply too awesome!"

"Jiang Yu, please accept my bow."

"Actually, the ones who feel the best are Xiao He, Chen Yao, and Zhu Xudan. Before *Chinese Paladin* came out, what was their status? Now, everyone's status can jump up by a huge margin."

"I'm so envious. Why didn't I go try out when they were casting for *Chinese Paladin*? I regret it so much my guts are turning green."

"……"

Yes, envy!

Even many first and second-tier stars felt jealous and envious.

The influence of a hit drama is enormous.

Xiao He, Chen Yao, and Zhu Xudan were directly carried to the sky by Jiang Yu, and it was the kind of ascension that happens right on the spot!

It makes people jealous to the point of bitterness.

……

At the same time.

The ashtray on the table in front of Cheng Xiaoshu was already piled high with cigarette butts.

All of them were high-end cigarettes.

He wanted some peace and quiet.

He hadn't expected that the first-day viewership of *Chinese Paladin* would exceed *Divine Sword Immortal Fate* by so much.

If you calculate it, it should be eight times?

It was just outrageous!

This was no longer a matter of *Chinese Paladin* defeating *Divine Sword*; it was *Chinese Paladin* pinning *Divine Sword* to the ground and rubbing it into the dirt.

His mood was terrible.

He was just so angry.

The kind of anger where even two dogs wouldn't be able to calm down.

"Actually, the actors, costumes, and props in *Chinese Paladin* are all fine, but the key to surpassing *Divine Sword* is mainly Jiang Yu! It is they who defeated *Divine Sword*..." Cheng Xiaoshu analyzed the reasons.

He only felt bitterness in his mouth.

What did it matter if the reason was analyzed? *Chinese Paladin* had already taken off.

……

Over the next few days.

The heat belonging to *Chinese Paladin 1* continued to ferment, going higher and higher, becoming more and more popular.

In a daze.

People felt as if they had returned to the time when *Year Hare Affair* was popular across the entire internet.

The only difference was that *Year Hare Affair* had become *Chinese Paladin*.

And the viewership ratings, which represented its popularity, were naturally increasing constantly.

The reviews were also very high.

Xingkong Net gave it a 9.3 rating, with the vast majority of viewers giving it a five-star rating, and very few negative reviews.

Especially some Xianxia novel enthusiasts who were full of praise for this drama.

In the eyes of this group, Jiang Yu's drama had simply filmed exactly what was in their hearts.

Although the drama sometimes referred to Sword Control Technique, Qi Sword Finger, and Dragon-Slaying Art as Wu Gong, don't get hung up on these details; just watch it as divine immortal techniques and that's all there is to it. ===== CHAPTER 371 =====
