Chapter 19

The teleportation point was in an open area; this time, many people were going for training. The destination was a low-level small space, said to be a small space in the Beast Realm, but in fact, it was merely an edge small space.

For novice cultivators who have not yet entered the path, such a small space is most suitable.

Otherwise, however many go, that many will be lost.

Cultivators in Great Yan are not like cabbages; the Great Yan Emperor cannot afford losses. After negotiating with the Immortal Sects, they chose this low-level Beast Realm small space, and those going for training began to arrive one after another.

Rong Juan did not come to see Qin Bi off, lest those going for training think Qin Bi had brought some magic treasure. Once in the Beast Realm small space, cultivators with high cultivation levels would find it difficult to tear open the void to travel there.

Qin Bi wore clothes she had acquired when she was with the Third Branch; washed many times, the color was clean.

As soon as Qin Tang and Qin Bi stepped off the carriage, seeing the teleportation point crowded with people, Qin Bi felt intimidated and a bit panicked. It was not that she was cowardly, but mainly because her mind was not in control; the moment she stepped out, she lost her composure.

Someone glanced over, then withdrew their gaze.

Qin Lang saw Qin Bi and Qin Tang, waving and calling out, "Here, here."

That cry drew the attention of those around. Qin Bi grabbed Qin Tang's sleeve, walked over to join the group, and various gazes withdrew. Qin Tang glanced at Qin Bi and frowned.

Once the group was complete, they all entered the teleportation array.

This teleportation array was large enough to hold over a hundred people. Qin Bi tugged on Qin Tang's sleeve, afraid of getting separated. What if they were teleported apart?

A young girl nearby looked at Qin Bi sideways, with an expression of disdain.

Qin Bi ignored her; she hadn't eaten her family's rice.

She didn't know if the teleportation array was malfunctioning or what, but after it activated, it shook. Oh my, Qin Bi felt terrible, as if she could barely breathe.

"Must we use the teleportation array?" Qin Bi asked Qin Xun after calming down.

Seeing her distressed state, Qin Xun helplessly pointed outside the array, "You can summon White-grade Clouds."

Qin Bi looked over. In front of several well-dressed people, several white clouds floated in the air, not very high. Qin Bi's eyes widened. Riding clouds? Good heavens, she abandoned the idea; she would use the teleportation array after all!

She was afraid of heights; being two meters off the ground made her dizzy.

Qin Bi felt a headache and nausea, "Why hasn't the teleportation started yet?"

It had just shaken.

No sooner had she spoken than Qin Bi felt a wave of dizziness. Frightened, she immediately grabbed Qin Xun beside her. In an instant, a desolate landscape appeared before her eyes, looking like an ancient wasteland stretching as far as the eye could see.

Where is this? Qin Bi reacted quickly.

The crowd dispersed to observe the surrounding environment.

The young girl said disdainfully, "So useless."

Before Qin Bi could speak, Qin Xun tugged her and shook his head, signaling her not to cause trouble. This was a Beast Realm small space, a place full of opportunities but also deadly; those with good spiritual roots and high talent could easily kill them.

Qin Bi stayed silent; she knew their strength was insufficient.

Qin Lang was talking with two men. One, wearing a brocade robe, was a fat man with a very amiable appearance. The other man was tall and straight, wearing a green robe with no patterns embroidered on it.

"We'll follow others," the man in the green robe said.

Qin Lang nodded, and after the crowd ahead moved away, they followed.

The young girl and a few others also joined them. Qin Bi held Qin Tang's sleeve, walking while glancing from a distance at this desolate land. There were very few plants visible, and the soil was severely lacking in water.

She didn't see a single small animal. Qin Bi understood nothing, so she just followed along.

About half an hour later, the group suddenly became noisy. Qin Bi stood on tiptoes to look and saw a beast running toward them. This beast was quite large, roaring fiercely.

Qin Bi looked around; who would go up? She couldn't.

Looking ahead again, as the beast ran closer, more than ten people suddenly stopped. Qin Bi thought they had some magic treasure, but instead, each held a large tea bowl.

Called a tea bowl, it actually looked more like a tea mug.

Qin Bi was somewhat confused. What were they doing? Drinking tea before killing the beast?!

She was still watching when her usual lack of focus temporarily vanished. Qin Bi's mind cleared a bit. Qin Tang and Qin Xun pulled her away from the group; with their talent, they couldn't defeat any beast.

Qin Bi was too curious and pointed at the dozen people, asking, "What are they doing with those tea bowls?"

Qin Xun looked at her strangely, "Those are summoning magic treasures."

Qin Bi had learned something new. Following the small group to a distance, she kept watching. She was puzzled that the summoning magic treasure was a tea bowl; even if it was a tea bowl, why did they all use the same one?

Before the beast could rush close, those holding the summoning treasures lifted their tea bowls. To Qin Bi's astonishment, they pointed at the bowls, and various summoned beasts and plants appeared.

There were birds, rabbits, wolves, vines, trees...

As soon as the summoned beasts and plants appeared, they all lunged at the beast. Dust flew instantly. This beast was probably of a high level, and someone nearby used their summoning treasure to summon more.

Qin Bi moved her hand; she didn't have a tea bowl. Rong Juan had a small one.

Estimating visually, Rong Juan's small tea bowl was a miniature version compared to the summoning treasures others held.

"Idiot," the young girl continued to mock, "Don't even know what a summoning treasure is, yet you come for training."

Qin Tang, not wanting trouble, called everyone to move on. The two men who had been talking with Qin Lang followed. Qin Bi glanced over and realized they were all one group. The young girl's group followed at a distance.

This Beast Realm small space was vast, a desolate expanse as far as the eye could see.

Plants were even scarcer. Gradually, the sandy ground decreased, and the earth became hard and compacted. Qin Bi paused; she had thought the soil in the Beast Realm small space would be good, but it was compacted too.

Fortunately, it wasn't completely dry; as they walked, they began to see plants.

Qin Lang and the fat man dug up everything, tasting the grass to see if it was edible or valuable. Qin Bi tried to stop them, only to be mocked by the young girl, which made Qin Bi feel terrible, her eyes turning red.

Qin Bi was so angry. Why cry? It made her furious.

Qin Lang dug up a sweet-tasting grass and handed it to Qin Bi, "Sister, taste it, it's very sweet."

A rotten grass, what's so good about it? Qin Bi felt even sadder. She couldn't stop them, so she covered her eyes and cried. Seeing this, a few people from the Qin family frowned; how could they have someone so weak and fragile on their team?

A handsome man from the young girl's group said, "Let's split up and search on our own."

Qin Tang helplessly replied, "Alright."

Qin Tang didn't even dare to say they had business and needed to say goodbye. Because their talent was very low, and the young girl's talent was higher than theirs, they feared being a burden, so they simply left first.

After that, Qin Bi cried frequently. She was even angry with herself. How could this be? The angrier she got, the more she wanted to cry. Everyone in the group was helpless, just digging up any plant they saw.

Qin Bi followed Qin Tang, wiping her tears as she watched him dig up tree roots, "Why not go kill small beasts?"
