Chapter 575: Anger

Qin Xun and Qin Xiang were talking when they heard Qin He mention going to the Beast Realm's small space; Qin Xun narrowed his eyes.

Qin Xun had not intended to pay attention to Qin He, but after a brief pause, he turned and asked, "Qin He, do you also intend to go to the Beast Realm's small space to gather resources?"

Several people stood together; Qin Lang glanced sideways at Qin He with clear disdain.

Qin He had already been to the Beast Realm's small space before. If she wanted to gather resources, she could simply go with the Immortal Sect disciples; there was no need to return first. If Qin He had no other schemes, Qin Lang would not believe it.

"My cultivation base is high," Qin He said with a light, smiling tone. She knew Qin Xun did not want her to go to the Beast Realm's small space, yet she insisted on going, just to make Qin Bi furious: "Of course I will go. I am going with several senior brothers and sisters to collect more items in the Beast Realm's small space."

She had not even gone yet, yet Qin He already looked utterly self-satisfied.

There was no help for it; Qin He had the confidence. She was an Immortal Sect disciple. He He Shizi had provided cultivation resources for her over the years and found her a good marriage. Within the Hou Fu, she could be considered a prodigy.

Several young masters and young ladies of the Hou Fu looked at Qin He with envy. If only they too could join the Immortal Sect.

"Do you still need to collect items?" Qin Lang, unable to stand it, said, "Just ask He He Shizi. He He Shizi should grant whatever you ask. With your maxed-out luck value, items should fall from the sky."

"Qin Lang," Qin He stiffened her expression. "How can you speak like that? You are a young master of the Hou Fu. He He Shizi treats me well; you need not be jealous and use such words to provoke me."

Qin Lang said, "I am not jealous. You are overthinking it."

"I am doing this for Third Uncle's sake," Qin He said. "I will not hold it against you."

The implication was clear: if Qin Lang were not Qin Tan's child, Qin He would have taken action. Her cultivation base was several levels higher than Qin Lang's and Qin Xun's; if she attacked, neither Qin Lang nor Qin Xun could defeat her.

Qin Xun glanced over indifferently. If Qin He dared to act, Qin Xun would act as well.

Qin Yan could only smooth things over: "Qin He, you just returned. Hurry and prepare. In two days, all the families will go to the Beast Realm's small space. You should rest and recover."

Qin He smiled, did not leave, but stopped arguing with Qin Lang.

Qin He told Qin Yan and the others about this trip to the Beast Realm's small space: "We encountered a few groups of cultivationists who lacked eyesight and wanted to fight us. We killed them directly. In the cultivation world, the strong are respected."

Qin Lang grew angry; this was clearly meant for him and Qin Xun to hear.

Second Lady Cui Shi did not stop them. The Fourth Branch was giving the Second Branch too little respect. Insulting Qin He was insulting the Second Branch. Qin He gave things away freely, yet Qin Xun still let Qin He lose face.

Fifth Lady drank tea, watching the spectacle to see who could outmatch whom.

"How are your preparations?" Qin Yan asked Qin Xun.

"Qin Lang," Qin Tan called out to him. "Qin He is your cousin."

"What cousin!" Qin Lang was indignant. "She said those things on purpose for me to hear. I just provoked her, and then she told Qin Cui and the others that she encountered a group of cultivationists who lacked eyesight in the Beast Realm's small space and wiped them out."

Qin Tan frowned; this was indeed inappropriate.

"Did you argue with her?" Qin Tan asked.

"No," Qin Lang said. "I cannot defeat her."

Qin Bi took a deep breath. Her fighting spirit value, which had already calmed, could not be suppressed. Without the Heartless God, she was prone to irritability. Qin Bi suppressed her fighting spirit value. As Qin Lang said, currently, none of them could defeat Qin He.

Qin Bi thought of the Hou Fu's fortune. As long as all the Qin family members had a share, she said, "I will not go."

Qin Yan agreed with Third Uncle and Fourth Uncle to go to the Ministry of Revenue tomorrow, then stood up and left. Qin Bi stayed for a short while, informed He Shi, and returned to Rong Wang Fu. Qin Xun and Qin Lang escorted her.
