Chapter 18: Crazy Task Triggering! She Is Actually the Ancestral Witch Houtu?!

Chu Xiong: "I think you could first continue uploading stones, then look around to see if there is anything else you can upload; earning more points is always a good thing!"

Liu Chongxiao: "Old Gao is right. After all, since the stones you found there are so valuable, other things, like weeds or whatever, must also be very valuable!"

Jiang Ye: "In the Primordial World, even weeds are likely equivalent to spirit herbs in other worlds!"

"Ding! Suggestion received: Continue uploading stones. Completion reward: Ordinary Treasure Chest!"

"Ding! Suggestion received: Upload a Primordial weed. Completion reward: Ordinary Treasure Chest!"

Without a second thought, Lu Yun grabbed a stone nearby, swept his gaze toward a weed nearby, and directly pulled it up with force, uploading it into the Points Mall.

Immediately, a notification popped up in the Chat Group: "Group member Lu Yun has uploaded a new item—Fire Spirit Stone! Selling price: 400 points!"

"Group member Lu Yun has uploaded a new item—Miscellaneous Spirit Grass! Selling price: 200 points!"

Seeing that the weeds were actually valuable, Lu Yun was overjoyed.

Although the value of a single weed was not high, if he just pulled up a hundred of them, he could earn twenty thousand points!

Lu Yun simply began harvesting various weeds nearby, and whenever he saw stones, he decisively picked them all up, looking as if he were going to dig three feet into the ground.

And the two tasks he had just triggered were naturally completed by him quickly.

While uploading items, he continued to ask in the group: "Are there any other suggestions?"

The people in the group did not expect Lu Yun to be so willing to listen to advice; he started executing it as soon as others finished speaking.

However, such a receptive attitude also won him the favor of many in the group, so everyone became even more active in giving Lu Yun ideas.

Xiao Ling'er: "You just said you met a member of the Wu Clan? I suggest you build a good relationship with them. The Wu Clan is currently one of the protagonists of heaven and earth and possesses great strength. If you can obtain the protection of the Wu Clan, or even befriend them, it will definitely allow you to grow faster!"

Chen Hai: "That's a good idea. Interacting with them can also help Lu Yun better understand the situation in the Primordial World."

"Ding! Suggestion received: Befriend the Wu Clan! Completion reward: One Fine Treasure Chest!"

Lu Yun: "Thanks for the guidance, I will act as soon as possible."

Zhou Yu: "I actually think befriending the Wu Clan might not necessarily be a good thing, because during the Witch-Demon Calamity, both sides will slaughter each other, and Lu Yun is still carrying the Heavenly Condemnation Halo; he might get dragged into it! By comparison, it is better to look for the Primordial Human Race!"

Chu Xiong: "I also feel that finding the Primordial Human Race is better. After all, although we come from different worlds, we are all humans, and the Primordial Human Race is simple and honest; they will surely be very willing to help you! It's just that I don't know if the Primordial Human Race has been born yet?"

"Ding! Suggestion received: Find the Primordial Human Race! Completion reward: One Rare Treasure Chest!"

Lu Yun's eyes lit up; he had finally triggered a rare-level task! However, according to his previous experience, the difficulty of completing this task should also be higher, and perhaps finding the Primordial Human Race would not be that simple.

He continued to upload weeds and stones while hurriedly replying in the group: "The member of the Wu Clan I met called me a human; the Primordial Human Race must have already been born!"

The lively discussion in the group also attracted the attention of some other veteran group members.

Fang Wenjie: "The difficulty for Lu Yun to find the human race now is probably not small, right? The Primordial World is so vast; the activity range of the newly born human race should be the Human Ancestral Land at the East Sea Shore. If Lu Yun is far away, he might not be able to find them even after walking for a hundred years!" Lin Yan: "Can't he just befriend the Wu Clan first and then have the Wu Clan help him search? Furthermore, as long as he keeps uploading stones and weeds, he can earn points. As long as he can survive, he can keep using the Points Mall to become stronger! It's truly enviable!"

Chen Hai: "The current Primordial Human Race is too weak; I estimate that even if Lu Yun goes, he might not get much help!"

Ling Yan: "The weakness of the Primordial Human Race is also a good thing for Lu Yun! This means he can use the knowledge he possesses from the future to lead the human race in their development. Perhaps by doing just a few things, he could harvest a great deal of Heavenly Dao Merit!"

Long Ye: "That's right, Heavenly Dao Merit is a good thing; it has great utility whether for cultivation or refining artifacts! If he can obtain a massive amount of Heavenly Dao Merit, even a Saint would not dare to kill him easily!"

"Ding! Suggestion received: Harvest more Heavenly Dao Merit! Completion reward: One Legendary Treasure Chest!"

A legendary-level task had actually arrived! Lu Yun, who had been constantly searching for various stones and pulling up weeds, couldn't help but pause his hands, and a look of excitement appeared on his face.

After all, from a rare-level treasure chest, he had opened a powerful cultivation technique like Star Transformation.

What kind of treasures would be in a legendary treasure chest? Although the difficulty of completing this task was not small, he would definitely be able to complete it! Even if he couldn't think of any way to harvest Heavenly Dao Merit himself, couldn't he just continue to ask the group members!

However, Lu Yun was still not satisfied and continued to say in the group: "Thanks for everyone's suggestions! Are there any other suggestions?"

Just at this moment, Wen Xingyao suddenly popped up in the group.

Wen Xingyao: "In my opinion, Lu Yun should just continue to kill more Demon beasts! Killing one Demon beast can earn twenty or thirty thousand points; isn't that much better than collecting weeds and stones? Kill a few dozen more, and he could directly become an immortal; why worry about the Heavenly Condemnation Halo?"

Wen Xingyao: "Furthermore, the Demon Race treats the human race as food; as a human, one should naturally subdue demons and eliminate monsters!"

"Ding! Suggestion received: Kill a few dozen more Demon beasts! Completion reward: One Rare Treasure Chest!"

Lu Yun's eyes narrowed slightly.

This Wen Xingyao is at it again! Everyone else is giving him good ideas, but this guy runs out again to make him court death!

However, come to think of it, Lu Yun really should thank him; if it weren't for his suggestion, he wouldn't have obtained Star Transformation before.

Although the suggestions the other party proposed were all inclined toward courting death, Lu Yun was not afraid; after all, he could make more preparations before taking action.

He wasn't afraid of difficult tasks, only of having no tasks! So he pretended not to notice Wen Xingyao's malice at all and said in the group: "@Wen Xingyao, thanks for your suggestion, are there any other suggestions?"

Wen Xingyao: "Didn't you just meet a member of the Wu Clan? Find a way to get them to take you to a Demon Race stronghold, let that member of the Wu Clan wipe out a group of Demon beasts, and you can even pick up many Demon beast corpses for free afterward!"

"Ding! Suggestion received: Take Houtu to raid a Demon Race stronghold! Completion reward: One Rare Treasure Chest!"

"Hmm?"

The moment Lu Yun saw this task prompt, his pupils couldn't help but shrink: Houtu? That member of the Wu Clan is actually the Ancestral Witch Houtu?! This really caught him off guard.

Coincidentally, just at this moment, Houtu, who had just left, returned!

Houtu returned to the vicinity and saw the ground that had been plucked bald by Lu Yun, looking stunned, and asked: "Human, what are you doing?"
