Chapter 9: 10,000 Points! Armed and Ready, Let the Hunt Begin!

Deep underground.

Lu Yun calmed his mind.

At this moment, he was employing the "Earth Escape Technique," his mana enveloping his body, allowing him to be inside the soil, feeling as if he were swimming in water.

However, in this state, mana consumption was also very rapid; given Lu Yun's current state, he simply could not stay underground for long.

Nevertheless, Lu Yun was not too anxious, because he had opened the Chat Group again and discovered that the Spirit Stones he had uploaded earlier had actually all sold out.

He glanced at the chat history; it seemed that after some group members bought his Spirit Stones, they discovered the quality was excellent, repurchased some more, and even talked about it in the group, leading more group members to compete to buy them.

Lu Yun had uploaded over twenty Spirit Stones in total, and he had listed them all at the highest price.

Now that they were all sold, he had actually obtained ten thousand points.

This was now completely enough for him to properly purchase some things.

He opened the Points Mall and directly searched for recovery-type items.

There were quite a few items in this category; some restored mental energy, some restored blood and Qi, and others restored mana, each being different.

Prices ranged from one or two hundred points to over ten thousand points.

Lu Yun searched quickly and soon locked onto a type of medicinal pill called "Jade Spirit Pill."

The characteristics of this pill stated that it restored mana quickly, did not require meditation, and automatically restored it upon ingestion, with a selling price of five hundred points per pill.

"Buying it!"

Lu Yun first bought one to test the waters and immediately ingested it.

The medicinal effect began quickly, and he discovered that the mana he was rapidly consuming had indeed begun to recover; even while continuing to maintain the "Earth Escape Technique," the overall amount was actually still slowly rising.

Clearly, he had bought the right thing! He immediately placed another order and directly bought the remaining five as well, spending three thousand points in total.

Carrying so many medicinal pills, he suddenly felt his confidence greatly increased.

However, for what he was about to do next, these pills alone were clearly not enough.

Fortunately, he still had seven thousand points, so he continued to look for things suitable for himself.

Suddenly, he saw that there was a thing called "Breath Concealing Illusion Talisman" in the Points Mall, priced at two thousand points.

This thing could actually conceal one's aura and allow one to disguise oneself as a stone.

"Good stuff, buying!"

Lu Yun made another purchase.

Because he also knew that many of the Demons on the surface had cultivation levels above his own, their perception was certainly stronger than his, and on top of that, some Demons might have special talents, so even through a hundred meters of earth, it was very possible they could detect his aura.

This Talisman was exactly what he needed!

This "Breath Concealing Illusion Talisman" was in the shape of a jade pendant.

The moment he obtained the item, Lu Yun immediately received its method of use.

This object only needed a bit of mana to activate, and then it could be hung on one's body without needing further stimulation.

Lu Yun used it immediately, and under his divine sense perception, he discovered that his aura was indeed changing rapidly, and in the blink of an eye, it was as if he had turned into a stone.

A satisfied smile appeared on his face, and he continued to look for other products.

……

At the peak of the Stone Peak, Houtu clearly saw the series of actions Lu Yun had just taken, from taking the medicinal pill to taking out a jade talisman.

She could not help but mutter: "It seems I was wrong before; the cultivation method used by that Human Race was not something he realized himself. The reason it is similar to the movements of the Demons must be the inspiration Nuwa sister obtained from the Demon Race."

After all, if Lu Yun were exceptionally gifted, it would indeed be possible for him to realize some kind of cultivation technique on his own.

But the medicinal pills he had taken earlier, and things like the Talisman, clearly did not look like something a member of the Human Race could concoct on their own.

Just then, she saw Lu Yun take out one more thing.

It was a Spiritual Treasure, looking very low-grade, clearly refined in the Postnatal Realm. Houtu watched as Lu Yun put it on his hands and then began to move toward the ground.

Was he preparing to make a move? Houtu watched with great interest, wanting to see exactly how Lu Yun intended to counter-kill these dozen or so Demons.

……

Underground.

Lu Yun naturally did not know that Houtu had been watching him all along.

At this moment, he put on the pair of gloves he had just bought, and his confidence suddenly increased greatly.

"Although these gloves were expensive, costing me four thousand points in total, I feel they have increased my strength by several layers; I should be able to kill those Demons outside now!"

It turned out that the reason he bought a pair of gloves was because he felt that the "Xingyi Fist" he had just learned had also become more powerful after the appearance of mana and the birth of divine sense.

Now, combined with a pair of gloves, it could be fully utilized for combat with the Demons!

Thus, Lu Yun quietly approached the ground while constantly sensing the situation outside.

When he arrived near the surface, he could already hear the voices of those Demons outside discussing.

On the surface.

The numerous Demons had already finished eating the corpse of the Heiying.

But they were clearly still unsatisfied, and because the blood-food had stirred up their ferocity, they were eyeing each other covetously.

Suddenly, a python spoke in confusion: "Strange, why did we not see that member of the Human Race in the belly of the Heiying?"

Once these words were spoken, the other Demons also realized this problem.

Because they had all assumed that Lu Yun had been eaten by the Heiying.

Logically speaking, since they had killed the Heiying so quickly, the Human Race member the other had eaten should not have had time to be digested yet.

But now, they had not even seen a corpse.

A green wolf's gaze scanned the surroundings, and it said: "Could it be that the Human Race member was not eaten by the Heiying, and he is not dead yet?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the eyes of the surrounding Demons all lit up.

Compared to the meat of the surrounding Demons, they were clearly more interested in Lu Yun, this member of the Human Race.

Therefore, at this moment, they all suppressed the urge they had just felt to pounce on and kill other Demon beasts, and one after another, they sensed their surroundings, searching for Lu Yun's tracks.

However, they investigated for a long time, yet they surprisingly did not discover Lu Yun's presence.

"Strange, why can't I smell his scent?"

"Could that member of the Human Race have already run away?"

"Impossible, with only that much cultivation, where could he have run to in such a short time?"

"He must have used some method to hide himself!"

Lu Yun could sense that while they were discussing, they quickly dispersed, each searching in different directions to continue tracking him.

He aimed at one of the lone Demon beasts and moved in that creature's direction.

That was a wolf Demon, whose cultivation was at the early stage of Refining Spirit into Void, and it was using its nose to sniff everywhere in search of Lu Yun.

Suddenly, it caught a faint scent that was moving toward the distance.

Its eyes lit up, and without alerting the other Demon beasts, it chased after the direction in which the scent was moving.

Before long, it had already chased more than a thousand meters away, putting distance between itself and the other Demon beasts.

And it was at this very moment that the scent it had been tracking stopped moving! (End of chapter)
