Chapter 2: Yellow Mud Platform Fuxi
Perhaps due to some deep causal connection, the moment Feng Yi crossed over into this world, he directly arrived at the small village named Ancestral Dragon Village, or rather Primeval Ancient Village.
Before him stood a slightly rough platform made of yellow earth.
At that time, the yellow earth platform was about one meter high, with a diameter no more than one point five meters, its surface pitted and uneven, like a low-quality earthen platform hastily piled up by a child.
If it were an ordinary person of this world, perhaps they would not pay much attention to this rough yellow earth platform.
However, as a transmigrator who knows this world's plot development, Feng Yi naturally knows what the yellow earth platform is.
It is a divine object formed from the flesh and blood of this world's Nine Provinces Ancestral God, and within it slumbers one of the Nine Provinces' ancestors, Fuxi.
Fuxi!
This name is naturally not unfamiliar to Feng Yi; even on Blue Star, they are one of the progenitors of humanity.
They, based on the principle of yin-yang changes between heaven and earth, created the Eight Trigrams to summarize the operational laws of all things, inaugurating the cultural source of Chinese civilization;
They created characters, taught primitive peoples fishing and hunting, invented various musical instruments, reformed the marriage system, and so on.
According to a genealogy record of unknown veracity, Feng Yi himself is a descendant of Fuxi from many generations later.
Of course, as descendants of Yan and Huang, all members of the Chinese nation can be considered descendants of Fuxi, this progenitor of humanity.
Moreover, this world's Fuxi is not only one of the ancestors of the Nine Provinces people in the present era, but also a part of the Fuxi who was a sovereign of the Nine Provinces in the primeval era.
Within this world's heavenly cultivation system, although there are multiple great paths such as Martial Dao, Divine Abilities, Cultivation, Mantra Arts, and the Dead, the realms are roughly divided according to the same system, and ultimately all paths converge.
According to the order from low to high, the cultivation realms of this world's heavens are: Mortal Shedding, Knowledge Storage, Void Riding, Nirvana, Longevity, Fish Leap, Ultimate Person, Penetrating Earth, Reaching Heaven, Ancestral God, etc.
Each realm is further divided into one to nine heavens, with the first heaven being the lowest and the ninth heaven the highest.
After reaching the ninth heaven of the Ancestral God realm, this world's heavenly cultivation system splits into two different paths: the Stone Person Path and the Supreme Ancestral God Path.
The Stone Person Path is similar to the path of cultivating the flesh to sanctity, focusing on the flesh, transforming into a stone city, and upon completion becomes a Stone Person King with unparalleled physique.
The Supreme Ancestral God Path, however, follows the path of divine consciousness or rather the primordial spirit, comprehending the variations of divine abilities, understanding the primordial rules of the heavens, and upon completion becomes the Supreme Ancestral God Great Perfection, with divine abilities unmatched in the world.
The two paths have no superiority; which one is taken ultimately depends on personal choice.
At the same time, the two paths do not conflict; if one is capable, they can also choose to cultivate both paths simultaneously.
Of course, each of these two paths is extremely arduous, requiring hundreds of millions of years of transformation, and success is not guaranteed even then.
Each cultivator's energy is limited; to succeed in even one path makes them a peerless genius among hundreds of millions of beings, and few would choose to cultivate both paths, for that is essentially seeking death.
However, if one wishes to reach the highest level of this world, the Sovereign Realm, both paths are indispensable; one must not only achieve the Stone Person King but also attain the Supreme Ancestral God Great Perfection.
Uniting flesh and primordial spirit, only then is there a slight chance to truly break through the king and become sovereign.
And the Sovereign Realm is this world's true ultimate strength, terrifying to the extreme, capable of interfering with the river of time-space, traveling to past and future, a stomp can shake the heavens, and a drop of imperial blood can destroy a great realm.
In this world, before the primeval era, Fuxi was already one of the Nine Provinces sovereigns, indeed a true Sovereign Realm.
However, they, together with Pangu, Nüwa, and many other Nine Provinces sovereigns, in order to exterminate all sovereigns and make the heavens and myriad worlds utterly devoid of sovereigns, divided themselves into three parts—one existing in the past, one in the present, one in the future—thus laying out an astonishing grand scheme.
And within the original yellow earth platform exists a portion of Fuxi reincarnated into the present, temporarily considered only a cultivator who has just surpassed the Ancestral God realm.
Seeing that he had directly crossed over to before the yellow earth platform, Feng Yi initially thought that this world's Fuxi had discovered him, this transmigrator.
However, before he could speak, the black and white light points deep within his spirit seemed to form some connection with the yellow earth platform, directly sucking him in.
Afterward, in a dazed state of mind, Feng Yi faintly felt that the black and white light points deep within his spirit and the yellow earth platform seemed to be communicating, as if undergoing some fusion on a higher dimensional level of existence.
Exactly what happened, Feng Yi does not know.
But when the yellow earth platform reappeared from within his body, it became what it is now.
An exquisite and ancient yellow earth altar, like the most perfect thing in the world, no longer the previous rough appearance, as if it had become a supremely mysterious treasure.
More importantly, Feng Yi's spirit formed some connection with this ancient altar, as if the altar directly became his personal treasure, while the Fuxi within it disappeared.
As a transmigrator, Feng Yi is also well-read and knowledgeable; upon seeing this scene, his mind immediately thought of many things.
What otherworldly isotopes, self and other, etc.
In short, Feng Yi became increasingly convinced that his transmigration, as well as the black and white light points deep within his spiritual world and that progenitor of humanity, Taihao Fuxi, are inseparably linked.
However, perhaps the power of this yellow earth altar is too great, while Feng Yi himself is too weak.
Although his spirit can sense it and vaguely perceive the connection with it, he cannot truly wield the power of this treasure.
Afterwards, after a long period of exploration, Feng Yi could only simply activate the primordial eight tones contained within, resonating with the laws of heaven and earth, cleansing his essence, energy, and spirit, and assisting his transformation.
What leaves Feng Yi somewhat helpless is that, perhaps because he is a physical transmigration, his body does not match the laws and principles of this world's heavens; even though he has obtained the cultivation methods of this world's heavens and received the aid of the primordial eight tones contained within the yellow earth altar, he still cannot truly step into the Mortal Shedding realm and truly complete the initial transformation.
Even though his current physique strength has already surpassed that of ordinary Mortal Shedding martial artists, he still cannot truly break through into this realm.
With thoughts turning in his mind, Feng Yi reached out and picked up an ancient copper coin from the top of the yellow earth altar.
On the copper coin, a faint illusory image of the Eight Trigrams formed by black and white light points appeared, carrying a faint illusory sense of changing fate.
Casually tossing the copper coin, a phantom Eight Trigrams shape reflected in Feng Yi's eyes, where the yin-yang lines continually arranged and combined, forming various primordial trigrams.
This copper coin was originally just the most basic currency of the Nine Provinces world, but because Feng Yi kept it together with the yellow earth altar for a long time, it also acquired a hint of the altar's Dao resonance, enabling him to assist in simple divination and deduction.
At the moment the copper coin landed completely, the trigram image in Feng Yi's eyes fully formed, causing his spirit to fall into a kind of dazed state.
After an unknown amount of time, he finally came to his senses and subconsciously muttered:
"Not yet the time for breakthrough."
"Then when counts as the time for breakthrough?"
Saying this, Feng Yi directed his gaze onto the yellow earth altar in his hand and softly said: "It seems we still need to find a way to truly master the power within this treasure; merely occasionally grasping some basic divination techniques from the primordial eight tones cannot truly calculate what he needs."
As his words fell, Feng Yi reached out and placed the copper coin once again onto the yellow earth altar.
Afterward, with a thought, the yellow earth altar directly merged into his body, returning to the depths of his spiritual world, hovering beneath the black and white light points, appearing extremely harmonious with them, as if they were mutually refining and merging.
After doing all this, Feng Yi stood up and opened the door.
Although he had not calculated how he himself could break through, he had nevertheless calculated other things.
