Chapter 253

~13 min read 2,467 words

Fu Huang!

The myriad heavens and worlds trembled; creators of fortune-level divine powers and the wills of the other shore turned their eyes toward the chaos, seeing the emperor's silhouette draped in a dark imperial robe.

The emperor's aura reflected in the eyes of each other-shore being, revealing many previously hidden strands of future fate, causing their minds and spirits to shudder violently.

Even the great divine abilities of the creation level could not discern this one of the Three Ancient Emperors, nor could they perceive the traces of the primordial other-shore will.

However, the moment the other-shore beings saw the emperor, they immediately sensed the change in his aura and understood what he had endured and his current state.

This one of the Three Ancient Emperors, Fu Huang, had long ago been controlled by Amitabha Buddha, a Buddhist other-shore being, reducing him to a half-puppet state.

No wonder!

A flicker of realization arose in each other-shore being's heart, understanding why this one of the Three Ancient Emperors, Fu Huang, had vanished without a trace since the primordial era and never reappeared.

It turns out he was being controlled!

Who would have thought that Amitabha Buddha, a Buddhist other-shore being, would silently control another other-shore being—truly one of the oldest existences in Buddhism.

Had it not been for the intervention of the Virtuous Heavenly Lord and the Unborn Mother, many other-shore beings would likely still be unaware of this information.

Thinking of this, the other-shore beings grew ever more wary of Amitabha Buddha, the Buddhist other-shore.

Within a perfect and flawless Buddhist pure land.

Amitabha Buddha's eyes, suffused with the circulating Buddhist essence and the meaning of unborn and undying, shifted, withdrawing his gaze from the the the Zixiao Palace and turning toward the chaos.

"Virtuous Golden Emperor"

Within Amitabha Buddha's eyes, a river of spacetime flowed, faintly meeting the gaze of two indifferent eyes, while the Buddhist light beside him grew ever more brilliant.

However, although the intervention of these two other-shore beings prevented him from fully controlling Fu Huang, Amitabha Buddha's heart remained largely undisturbed.

After Fu Huang inexplicably broke free from control, drawing the attention of the other other-shore beings, Amitabha Buddha anticipated that such a situation would arise.

Were it him, facing this situation, he would likely choose to intervene as well.

After all, these other-shore beings are, to some extent, rivals on the path of the Great Dao, and would naturally not stand by while another controls a true other-shore being.

But

Amitabha Buddha's aura shifted slightly, his gaze grew deeper, and the depths of his eyes reflected the changes in Fu Huang's inner breath.

"Compassion, compassion"

After a moment, Amitabha Buddha uttered a Buddhist name, his face filled with pity, saying: "Fu Huang fellow Daoist, I am now increasingly interested in your hidden secrets!"

As his words faded, Amitabha Buddha did not rise, but closed his eyes again, as if falling into slumber.

But the next moment, an inexplicable surge rose from him, carrying the sense of the myriad worlds' emptiness, as if turning all of the heavens and worlds into his dream.

This surge followed a deep connection, directly traversing boundless spacetime toward the chaotic void.

In the chaotic void, the emperor's figure clad in a dark imperial robe trembled slightly in spiritual awareness; countless black and white lights swirled around him, embodying the yin-yang five elements and the heavenly calculations of the Eight Trigrams Grand Derivation.

"What is this? The Great Method of Attaining the Dao in a Dream?"

A low, deep voice sounded from his mouth, his heart stirred slightly, prompting a change in his own aura.

In an instant, an ancient, mysterious pelt appeared atop his head, bearing ten swirling black and white lights that elucidated the yin-yang five elements, forming a perfect cycle with his aura.

Having just done all that, an inexplicable surge emerged, following some deep connection, merging directly into his body, while the surrounding black and white lights could not obstruct it.

Hum

Boundless Buddhist light shone forth, a peaceful and compassionate Buddhist aura enveloping the emperor's form, causing his entire being to slip into slumber.

Within him, the yin-yang fish swirled and a bright moon hung high, entwined with the boundless Buddhist light, as if his interior had become a battlefield for other-shore beings.

The boundless chaotic qi surged, black and white lights flowed, spacetime and fate were severed here, and the emperor's figure was completely hidden within the endless void.

The True Realm.

In the present age, although the True Realm hosts numerous martial sects and powers, the foremost forces are only the Daoist Three Sects, Buddhist Four Temples, Six Sword Schools, Six Great Authorities of the World, Fourteen Great Clans, Nine Demonic Schools, and Six Heterodox Masters, etc.

Lotus Terrace Mountain, Shaolin Temple.

One of the Buddhist Four Temples, the current abbot Kong Wen is a renowned Dharma-body expert on the Heavenly Rankings, honored as the Dragon-Subduing Arhat.

One day, a monk named Shakyamuni came to Shaolin Temple to pay homage, directly triggering a tremor in the temple's fundamental inheritance, the Tathagata's Divine Palm.

The eastern sea's end.

This is a expanse of spacetime mist; beyond the mist lies another boundless sea.

This sea is known as the Seven Seas and Twenty-eight Realms.

The two realms of heaven and earth are divided by endless spacetime mist, becoming two separate domains.

But on this day, the spacetime mist suddenly dispersed, reconnecting the two worlds.

A handsome youth stepping in a small boat emerged from the dispersing mist, heading toward the Seven Seas and Twenty-eight Realms.

The other-shore beings once again turned their gazes, noticing a change in the River of Fate.

The True Realm.

Southern Jin, the Divine Capital.

As the capital of the Great Jin and one of the most important cities in the world today, the Divine Capital is divided into five layers, inner and outer.

At its core lies the Palace City, followed by the Imperial City, then the Inner and Outer Cities, with the outermost ring consisting of various buildings constructed along the banks of the canal outside the city.

Viewed from above, these buildings are arranged in a staggered, interlocking pattern; streets and houses follow a special rhythm, layer upon layer, eventually converging toward the Imperial City, forming a great defensive array filled with human dao power.

At that moment, the heavens and earth grew hazy, and faintly, countless black and white lights flowed, forming an illusory River of Fate.

A vast, ancient city appeared, weathered yet majestic, like a perfect, flawless great world.

An inexplicable surge arose, causing the ancient city's universe to turn illusory, scattering into countless black and white lights that merged with the Divine Capital and vanished.

Heaven and earth returned to tranquility, as if nothing had changed, except that the Divine Capital subtly grew older and more weathered, bearing the marks of time.

Within the Divine Capital, neither mighty martial masters nor ordinary commoners noticed any change in the entire capital.

Inside a splendid mansion within the Divine Capital.

A youth slowly opened his eyes, only to see moonlight streaming through the window, scattering before him, a vast tranquility and chill.

The youth stepped to the window, bathed in moonlight, and lifted his gaze to the night sky.

In his pupils countless hexagrams flowed, like an endless river of fate crossing boundless time and space, and through some deep karmic link they reflected the image of a sovereign clad head‑to‑toe in black imperial robes.

"Indeed, in the hands of that most ancient being, Amitabha Buddha, Fuxi Emperor had virtually no power to resist."

"Even though, because I crossed into these heavens, Fuxi's instinct gained a brief respite, the final outcome still changed little!"

"Even if it weren't for that incident drawing the attention of the Moral Heavenly Venerable and the Golden Emperor, causing them to intervene, Fuxi would still be completely controlled by Amitabha Buddha just as in the original timeline!"

"Fortunately I did not choose to merge directly with Fuxi, otherwise I would truly have been trapped inside him, possibly even fully exposing my secret of crossing over!"

One thought after another surfaced in the youth's mind, and a hint of contemplation appeared on his face.

This youth is naturally Feng Yi, or rather, after his true self occupied the status of a certain being in these heavens, over the passage of time he has derived at this temporal juncture a special other‑self incarnation.

The entity whose status he occupies is precisely the sole post‑natal human cultivator in these heavens who, step by step, attained the Heavenly Will of the Other Shore—the Human Emperor.

Although the Human Emperor is an Other‑Shore being, he has completely fallen, with no past or future; Feng Yi himself is the Human Emperor of other worlds and has even embodied the Human Emperor's Great Dao, so he can easily take up his position.

Just as Feng Yi had earlier deduced, by relying on his many incarnations from walking the mortal‑immortal path and gaining titles and statuses from different worlds, he then used the supreme treasure of the Yi Dao in his spiritual world to stir the spacetime origin of these heavens, completely fusing those names into this realm, leaving myriad traces and legends, and becoming part of these heavens.

Including the Dao Sovereign in the the the Zixiao Palace, Fuxi Emperor in Chaos, the Green Emperor at the East Sea's end, and Shakyamuni of Shaolin Temple, etc. —all these great changes occurred because of his method.

Relying on these changes, Feng Yi thoroughly disrupted the fate river of these heavens, drawing the gaze of many Other‑Shore beings, and allowed his true self to silently merge into these heavens, becoming one of them.

And now, although Fuxi Emperor is temporarily not fully controlled by Amitabha Buddha, he has not completely broken free either; with the aid of the Moral Heavenly Venerable and the Golden Emperor, he merely holds a stalemate for the time being.

Under these circumstances, Feng Yi temporarily cannot obtain the Dao fruit of Fuxi Emperor, this Other‑Shore Heavenly Will, to aid his own attainment of the Other‑Shore realm.

Therefore, his true self must tread the Human Emperor's path in these heavens, just as the original Human Emperor did, governing heaven with the human way, and fully embark on his own Other‑Shore road.

This is the path best suited to him in the present age, the swiftest route to ascend to the Other Shore, and it may even yield a complete Other‑Shore peerless divine weapon.

The Realms of Reality is one of the most important core worlds of these heavens, containing the most vital fate and authority, a key contested ground for many mighty adepts.

And Southern Jin is currently one of the two great dynasties of the Realms of Reality, occupying half of its most vital core territory, making it suitable for him to use as the foundation of his Human Emperor's way.

Moreover, what is more important is.

Feng Yi's pupils shifted slightly, gazing toward a certain direction of the Divine Capital, and in his eyes appeared the reflection of a youth in a python robe—none other than the present crown prince, Zhao Qian.

However, deep within Feng Yi's pupils, the crown prince Zhao Qian's primordial spirit contains a gleaming, glass‑like relic that rises and falls, embodying the future intent of Buddhism, its aura towering to the extreme.

"Maitreya."

A low whisper sounded, and a faint smile appeared in Feng Yi's eyes.

This crown prince of Southern Jin is indeed a great adept of Buddhism, revered as the incarnation of the Future Buddha Maitreya, thereby laying plans in advance in the Realms of Reality to prepare for the future.

And Maitreya, the Future Buddha of Buddhism, is the product of that most ancient being, Amitabha Buddha, sitting in pursuit of emptiness; it pertains to Amitabha Buddha's path to fruition.

Given that, Feng Yi naturally will make use of this Future Buddha to scheme well against Amitabha Buddha.

Indeed, he can even employ this product of Amitabha Buddha's pursuit of emptiness to help Fuxi Emperor completely break free from Amitabha Buddha's control, thereby truly obtaining Fuxi Emperor's Dao fruit for himself.

Countless thoughts turned in his mind; after a while, Feng Yi seemed to sense something, turned his gaze, and looked toward the distance.

His spiritual awareness quivered slightly; his mind and spirit united with the status he occupied, thereby forming a special connection with an immensely vast consciousness.

Countless golden lights flickered in his pupils, and a holy, splendid golden longsword appeared deep within Feng Yi's eyes, its blade bearing many patterns.

There were immortals, gods, demons, and monsters; the sun, moon, and stars; mountains and rivers; and the myriad aspects of the mortal world.

Merely a single longsword, yet its aura was terrifyingly sublime to the extreme, with a river of time encircling it, as if a complete myriad of heavens resided within the blade.

Human Emperor's Sword!

A glimmer of understanding arose in Feng Yi's heart.

The status he now occupies originates from the Human Emperor; having become a true Human Emperor in many worlds, he thus formed a bond with this Other‑Shore peerless Human Emperor Sword.

Thinking of this, a hint of joy involuntarily appeared in Feng Yi's eyes—this was precisely the peerless divine weapon he had longed for.

His reason for occupying the Human Emperor's status is precisely for this Human Emperor Sword.

An ownerless Other‑Shore peerless divine weapon is absolutely one of the greatest opportunities in this world, a treasure coveted by many mighty adepts of creation‑level.

In these heavens, the Other Shore and those beneath it are entirely different kinds of beings; even an Other‑Shore peerless divine weapon far surpasses the existence of creation‑level mighty adepts.

A fully awakened Other‑Shore peerless divine weapon can even contend with a true Other‑Shore being, thereby protecting its master.

For example, the Nether Sea Sword, in order to guard the Seven Kill Daoist, repeatedly clashed with Amitabha Buddha, the Heavenly Emperor, and others.

And the Demon Monarch, with the protection of the Demon Emperor's Claw, is all the more able to evade detection by Other‑Shore beings.

If he could obtain the Human Emperor Sword, Feng Yi would possess an Other‑Shore peerless weapon of his own, which he could use as an open trump card to conceal his true secret.

Even if it later draws the attention of the remaining Other‑Shore beings, he would have nothing more to worry about.

"Human Emperor's Sword!"

Speaking those three words softly, Feng Yi began to ponder how to obtain this Other‑Shore peerless divine weapon.

His figure bathed in moonlight, carrying an air of lofty detachment and unworldliness.

After a while, he lifted his head to gaze at the bright moon hanging high.
