Chapter 129: I'm Not Sick, I'm Not Sick!
No one even needed Ji Ming to speak; everyone said it in unison.
"I figured it out!"
Ignoring their mockery, Sani clutched Ji Ming's lower leg.
"Doctor, you have to save me; if you can't, don't blame me for smashing… taking you is a question!"
He gritted his teeth and looked up, only to meet a pair of eyes full of excitement.
"That's what you said, Awo!"
The doctor shouted almost excitedly, yanking his arm and pulling him into the treatment room.
"Don't touch me!"
Sani didn't know why he was so agitated, but instinctively began to resist and struggle.
Yet the doctor clearly seemed to have no strength, but even after using all his might, he couldn't break free from the doctor's clamp-like hand.
"Your hair here is too thick; if we want to operate, I have to scorch the hair first, otherwise infection is easy."
"Don't panic, AdaiEr, I'm just employing some special treatment methods."
"You are indeed wrong."
He once again showed a smile, leaning his body slightly forward.
He eased the numbness in his fingertips and lifted the treatment room's curtain.
"Got a disease, huh? I'll cure you!"
"Yeah, the doctor is super responsible!"
"Now you know why I dragged you in, right?"
Ji Ming tucked away the wallet that slipped from Sani, and waved his hand.
"Terminal illness, your heart has turned black and rotten, it's beyond salvage."
"Damn! I'm not sick, I'm not sick!"
Ji Ming was still busy stitching, and upon seeing him, merely nodded in acknowledgement.
A massive fear enveloped Sani's mind, causing him to let out a startled scream uncontrollably.
"Pain? Then here!"
The cold glint flashing on the blade was a better stimulant than SpiritGathering Liquid; he felt no signal delay at all.
"Awo!"
Ji Ming sighed and raised the knife in his hand.
"I had a physical clash with you here; although my level is low, you lost to me due to a momentary lapse and got knocked out, understand?"
He tore open Sani's collar, lifted a dagger, and began slashing across his abdomen.
"Everyone, it's just a minor interlude, don't panic, let's continue the treatment."
AdaiEr hurried over, anxiously circling around him.
"Could you elaborate on this external injury part?"
"It was An De Lu Hospital that forced me; they paid to hire me, I know nothing, I'm innocent!"
Sani trembled, begging for mercy.
That was the sound of a heavy object crashing onto the bed.
Am I dead?
"You agree, right, AdaiEr?"
"I won't treat you, let me go!"
"Hold on a bit, this is all for your own good!"
"Speak."
Sani felt like a rag doll at someone's mercy, with no room left to resist,
"Moreover, being part of a mercenary corps, they are extremely skilled and often treat external injuries, making them formidable in actual combat."
"Doctor, are you injured?"
"I say, I say, whatever you want to ask I'll answer, please don't kill me!"
The little girl standing in the corner seemed to recall something terrifying, shivered, then nodded repeatedly.
If it really doesn't work, one could become a true bandit outside the city; who would stay in the outer city as a ridiculous thief or thug?
"At any cost! By any means! Regardless of reward!"
Sani could hardly believe he actually uttered such words.
"Very good."
He growled low up to this point, then suddenly his voice softened.
"No!"
Those two punches were so brutal that Sani could still only lie on the bed, tears streaming, gasping for breath.
Sani gasped as if just pulled from water, struggling to force two words out between his teeth.
"Listen."
At this point, Ji Ming's tone shifted.
"And then?"
Naturally, Ku Po, who had rushed over upon hearing the news, wore a blue badge on his chest that glittered, perhaps polished several times.
Everyone was eager to see a doctor and had no time for these trivial matters, so they restored the queue and order.
Seeing their leader beaten into this mess, the subordinates lost any courage to stand up, and hurriedly carried Sani away like a funeral pallbearer.
Damn, this byd is truly a lowlife, fighting like hitting a stone!
"Ahhh! What are you doing!"
"No!"
She dispersed the patients, turned her ear to the door, and heard inside a man's pleas for mercy and a thudding clang as things were being knocked.
"They… they want to ruin your business, so they have to give you a warning, to let you know Inner City isn't that easy."
"Their treatment method is to use magic together with magic elixir; the effect is strong and there are no side effects…"
"Doesn't that just prove my medical skill is superb?"
Ji Ming keenly caught a key word.
Saying that, he got up and brought a pot of hot water.
"Doctor!"
Ji Ming didn't discuss it in detail; instead, he casually brushed the matter aside with a sentence.
"Nothing much, just heard a patient say the doctor's skill is excellent, wanted to learn a bit."
"Doctor, I heard there's trouble here, where are the people?"
Ku Po froze for a moment, then nodded.
"Hospital!"
Sa Ni shook his head wildly.
A pig‑like scream rang out.
He spoke with a big tongue, yet the doctor was like a cold question machine.
Bang!
"However, fortunately I'm a very excellent doctor, so you still have a chance of being saved."
"No, I…"
But before the next patient was finished, a commotion rose outside the door again.
"The forehead is darkened, indicating bad luck; the cheeks are sunken, indicating bodily emptiness; the tongue coating is yellow, indicating damage to the five organs."
"What? Ah!"
"You see, they're all humming comfortably; since they're acquaintances, I won't charge this time, just take them away!"
In the panic, he didn't even notice that Ji Ming was mimicking his tone.
"I'm the doctor. Even if this surgery's power doesn't exceed ten percent, I'll still help you!"
Sa Ni wanted to say something else, but felt his foot slip and was violently dragged into the treatment room.
It was the huge clang of a solid door slamming shut behind him.
That's the biggest trait of a scoundrel: fierce outward, cowardly inside.
"Your fault is drinking and staying up too much; this result was bound to happen sooner or later."
He opened his eyes and saw the doctor sitting calmly beside him.
Sa Ni regretted his words to the point of madness, but now there's nothing to do but clench his teeth.
Then another punch landed, and with a crack, he broke his nose.
"Heh, I've recently made some progress in the Soul Realm and plan to expand my services as a mental doctor."
The doctor's expression didn't change at all; he said softly.
"Anything else?"
"No."
"Damn, on the very first day of opening, I barely started the morning meeting and someone already came to stir trouble."
Instead, all resistance was declared failed, and they were slowly dragged deeper into the treatment room.
"Only you and I know what's happening here; if you want to live, do you know what to say after you get out?"
"Does it hurt here?"
AdaiEr rushed over, but the door was already locked from the outside.
He was still puzzled when Ji Ming landed a punch on his abdomen.
"Nothing much, just an old acquaintance had a misunderstanding, already resolved."
After a skillful yet artistic beating, Ji Ming untied the belt and dragged the nearly fainted Sa Ni out of the treatment room.
"Then just let me die!!!"
Out of the blue.
By the time he reacted, the belt had firmly bound him to the treatment room's bed.
Ji Ming swung his arm, punched his nose, giving him a brother‑like black eye.
Ku Po raised an eyebrow and leaned in a few steps.
"Heh, if you truly have any skill, you could be an adventurer or a handler."
The doctor sat on a chair beside him, smiling and spreading his hands.
"Uh~ah…"
"The hospital under the Mountain Mercenary Alliance, what's wrong?"
Ku Po naturally didn't believe him, clenching his fist.
"It's indeed very expensive."
Ji Ming lifted an axe, sneered, and circled around him.
Ji Ming stared at his cheek and began a pretentious analysis.
She felt her breathing grow rapid, and finally swallowed a mouthful of saliva.
"Speak, what's your ailment?"
"According to this Clinic's regulations, any treatment must be seen through from start to finish; once begun, no one may stop it."
"Next time."
Ku Po thought for a moment, then organized his words.
Bang!
Ku Po thought.
"Got it, got it!"
Only after quickly dealing with this patient, and having AdaiEr temporarily block the doorway, did he lower his voice.
"But it's expensive?"
"Friend, do you know An De Lu Hospital?"
The doctor wore a solemn expression.
The doctor tilted his head slightly and pointed at the picture frame hanging on the wall.
Ji Ming thought that the one who had just gotten up lying down wasn't himself, and simply rubbed the back of his hand.
"An De Lu Hospital really has capability; they are backed by the Mountain People Mercenary Alliance and can recruit doctors and mages from Shen Lin Wang Guo, so their theoretical knowledge is quite formidable."
"The mercenary corps runs a hospital not only to make money but also to treat their own; mercenaries are mostly wounded by external injuries, so An De Lu Hospital has a large contingent of doctors specializing in that area stationed there."
Sa Ni nodded wildly, paused, then shook his head wildly.
"It's fine... just a bit of hand pain."
"Wait, wait!"
"Aaaah!"
"I don't know about the rest, I really don't know, I'm innocent, please let me go..."
When he finished wailing with his eyes closed, he found that everything around seemed completely still.
He walked to Sa Ni's side and raised his right arm.
"As long as we cut open here and here, and replace them with a set of pig intestines, we can let you..."
"No, stop, doctor, please let me go, I know I was wrong..."
Sa Ni still tried to intervene, but the doctor had already tilted the vessel, and a sharp pain instantly flooded his lower abdomen.
Very effective, Sa Ni fell silent immediately.
"I... have been a bit dizzy lately, maybe I haven't rested well... I, I'll go back and sleep a bit and it'll be fine!"
"Isn't this a Clinic? How can there be such a thing here?"
"He's cured, he's not ill now, right?"
"Even a drunk says they're not drunk, so you must be seriously ill!"
"All set, I already know what illness you have."
"Come in, you!"
Hm?
"I will definitely save your life, even if it means taking it away!"
