"You'll understand when you see that kid," Dao Gui said vaguely, not elaborating. "Don't interfere with Da Dong activating his Original Ability. Let's leave. We'll come back tomorrow."

"We might as well do that. Let's go."

Dao Feng "770" hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

Though he worried about Wang Da Dong's future, he knew he must not interfere with Wang Da Dong's acquisition of the Ability, so he followed Dao Gui out of Wang Da Dong's bedroom, leaving Wang Da Dong alone in his dream to gain power.

Fire and lightning continuously intertwined across Wang Da Dong's body, scorching his skin; his face was grim, yet his eyes remained tightly shut, as if in deep slumber.

His combat power surged rapidly; in less than two minutes, it rose from 43,000 to 52,000, and the growth showed no sign of slowing—indeed, it seemed poised to exceed 60,000.

"What's happening to me?"

Wang Da Dong was still enduring boundless torment when suddenly the surroundings shifted; then, an even more intense pain swept through his entire body, forcing a groan from his lips, his face flushing red as sweat poured down.

Wang Da Dong rubbed his eyes and asked in confusion, "Dad, Mom, it's past midnight—why aren't you sleeping?"

Dao Gui asked with concern, "Son, you're up? How do you feel?"

Wang Da Dong quickly examined himself.

His physical metrics had skyrocketed; his frame had grown leaner, his height slightly increased, his physique more balanced and perfect, brimming with endless strength.

"Mom, what are you talking about? What do you mean 'how do you feel'?" Wang Da Dong pretended not to understand, unwilling to worry his parents, and laughed it off.

Dao Gui smiled and said, "Stop pretending. We found out about you going to Bali High a long time ago."

Hearing his mother's words, Wang Da Dong froze in place, then wore an embarrassed grin and said, "Mom and Dad, what do you know? What's Bali High?"

Dao Gui said, "Don't keep acting. Your parents know about the Ironclad Guard. You've acquired two of the most powerful Abilities—do you know what that means?"

"I—I have no idea?" Wang Da Dong kept up his act of ignorance, though inside he was deeply uneasy, unsure whether his parents believed him or would interfere in future events.

Dao Feng said calmly, "Don't be afraid. We won't interfere. Remember this: absolutely do not get involved in the Ultimate Ability users' war across the Twelve Dimensions."

"The great war between good and evil across the Twelve Dimensions that Lin Yu mentioned in the Tower of Heaven—and the Ability war that followed?"

Wang Da Dong thought it over, startled by his parents' knowledge; he hadn't expected them to know about this, but then again, considering what they'd done before, it seemed almost normal.

Dao Feng asked again, "Have you heard of the Ultimate Ability users' war across the Twelve Dimensions?"

"I heard some rumors from a good friend," Wang Da Dong answered honestly, briefly recounting what Lin Yu had told him.
