Chapter 557

~5 min read 824 words

The Black Dragon asked with a mocking tone: "I never thought you had ties with her—did she help heal your wounds? The cost must've been high, right?"

Ye Si Ti nodded slightly: "You're stating the obvious. She told me to bring you to her, and to get the Ghost Wolf Blade."

The Black Dragon smiled: "What if I refuse?"

"Before you stop me, I can kill the man on the bed," Ye Si Ti said calmly, then coldly glanced at Duan Duan Changren, still unconscious on the bed.

Hearing this, the Black Dragon was furious but forcibly suppressed it, clenching his fists tightly, steadying his emotions, and said: "I can leave, but you must ensure Duan Duan Changren isn't harmed."

Ye Si Ti laughed: "Relax—I'm not like you."

Forbidden Zone.

That place lay in desolate wilderness, not a single blade of grass to be seen, surrounded by pungent stench, as if stepping into a mountain of corpses and seas of blood—dark and terrifying.

Standing there was an abandoned castle, once the oldest fortress of the Golden Time Era.

Once radiant with glory, it was now utterly destroyed from the battle between good and evil, reduced to ruins, the entire region shrouded in chilling gloom.

Years passed, and it became a completely uninhabited wasteland—the most feared place in the Golden Time Era. No one would set foot here unless they had no other choice.

A slender black shadow stood silently outside the ancient castle—a beautiful young girl, short in stature, delicate and refined, wearing a long black dress.

Her figure was graceful, her chest full, her straight, bare legs exposed like carved superior white jade.

Seeing the Black Dragon and Ye Si Ti, she walked slowly toward them, steady steps, each one heavy as a mountain, exuding immense pressure.

The girl's eyes held icy coldness as she asked without emotion: "Black Dragon, did you bring the Ghost Wolf Blade~?"

The Black Dragon replied: "My useless brother had an accident—he can't get the Ghost Wolf Blade. You know he's finished now, his combat index nearly zero."

The girl's face remained as calm as still water: "I don't care about Duan Duan Changren. I need the Ghost Wolf Blade."

After a brief pause, the Black Dragon said: "Don't worry—I'll find out where the Ghost Wolf Blade is soon. I'll get it for you."

"No need. The Ghost Wolf Blade is already in Lin Yu's hands. Do you know him? Call him here—we'll deal with him together," Ye Si Ti said with a smug grin, as if Lin Yu meant nothing at all.

The Black Dragon frowned tightly at Ye Si Ti's words: "Is that true?"

Ye Si Ti blinked: "Do you think I'd joke about something like this?"

The Black Dragon lowered his head, eyes flickering as he thought for a moment, then suddenly smiled: "Lin Yu has saved my useless brother many times—we're sworn brothers. Are you forcing me to betray my benefactor?"

"So you won't agree?" The girl stared coldly at the Black Dragon, her beautiful eyes sharp as swords, as if piercing his heart.

"I'm saying—he's my brother's benefactor. If you want me to betray him, the price must go up," the Black Dragon grinned wickedly, his small eyes darting around, clearly plotting something foul.

"Raise the price?" The girl's lips curled into a cold sneer as she growled: "Do you dare ask me to raise the price?"

The Black Dragon grinned: "How can you say that? This is mutual assistance!"

"Here." The girl pulled a short dagger from her clothing and tossed it to the Black Dragon: "Use this to kill Lin Yu, and you'll get the Ghost Wolf Blade. It's a fair deal."

The Black Dragon caught the dagger, examined it closely, and said: "This weapon is indeed excellent—but isn't the price too low?"

The girl said sternly: "This dagger is said to be forged from remnants of Shi Zhong Sword. If you don't want it, give it back."

Hearing this, the Black Dragon's eyes lit up. He snatched the dagger eagerly, feigning delight: "Don't be like that—we can talk! Wait—I'll get you the Ghost Wolf Blade right away."

Ye Si Ti watched the exchange with interest, a mocking smile on his lips.

The girl glanced coldly at the Black Dragon and said indifferently: "You have half a day. Miss the deadline, and I take the dagger back."

"Understood." The Black Dragon looked at Ye Si Ti (Zhao Zhao's) and said: "Let's go—let's find my good friend."

Ye Si Ti nodded and walked out of the ancient castle with the Black Dragon.

Watching them depart, the girl's beautiful face revealed a flash of cold light as she murmured to herself: "Black Dragon, don't force me to eliminate you."

Lin Yu's home.

After finishing matters with the third brother, Lin Yu pulled out his phone to order food; as soon as he picked it up, he saw a person appear on the sofa.
