"Really. If you don't believe me, go check with Yanyan." Gu Zhan laughed and patted Zhige on the head.

Li Yanyan felt Zhige's gaze and gave a slight nod, effectively confirming what Gu Zhan had said.

Zhige let out a long sigh and said worriedly, "I hope my father is alright."

Seeing Zhige's anxious look, Li Yanyan said calmly, "Your dad will definitely be fine."

Zhige suddenly said, "How about we call the police?"

"Call the police?" Gu Zhan was stunned. After a long pause he said, "Have you thought this through? What if your dad just went on a business trip without telling you?"

"My mom didn't tell me either, so I have no choice but to call the police." Zhige was helpless.

"Then I'll get the police for you." Gu Zhan nodded, then took out his phone and contacted the police, quickly explaining the situation.

After a while, Gu Zhan put down his phone and told Zhige, "Done. The police said they'll send someone over soon to look into the situation."

"Thanks, Zhan." Zhige said excitedly.

"Who are we to each other? Don't be so formal." Gu Zhan looked at Zhige and said, "Let's just wait here for the police to come."
