Chapter 387: Ancient Heavenly Origin

~7 min read 1,292 words

Yage let out a painful howl, his body sent flying hundreds of meters, crashing deep into the vortex.

The vortex began to vibrate violently, and the energy tentacles started to snap and dissipate. Just as Lin Xuan prepared to press his advantage, he saw the darkness at the center of the vortex suddenly contract, and Yage's voice emerged from within: "You cannot stop the arrival of the Void!"

With a deafening explosion, the entire vortex suddenly contracted into a single point, then vanished without a trace. The sky returned to clarity, and the purple light in the rainforest gradually faded away.

Lin Xuan immediately rushed to Xiao Yuan's side, carefully checking her condition. To his surprise, although Xiao Yuan remained unconscious, the Five Elements Energy within her had not only suffered no damage, but had become even more active, especially the Wood Element Energy, which seemed to be undergoing some kind of qualitative change or evolution.

"Take her back to the academy," Lin Xuan said as he gently picked up Xiao Yuan, speaking to the other students, "Notify the other four Guardians and Ga Luo, tell them... what we are facing is not just the threat of the Purple Star, but also an unknown power from a deeper level."

Looking at Xiao Yuan's peaceful face, Lin Xuan recalled Xuan Qingzi's final warning—"The Sixth." Perhaps the answer lay hidden within this Full Element Girl.

Inside the central command room of the Kun Lun headquarters, the atmosphere was heavy. The five Guardians had rushed back from the sites of Dimension Rifts all over the world. Large holographic projections displayed abnormal energy fluctuation points across the globe, with red alerts flashing incessantly.

"The situation is much more complex than we imagined," Lin Xuan said, standing before the command console and looking at his teammates who had just gathered, "Yage is no longer just a Purple Star defector; he has become the spokesperson for some kind of more dangerous power."

Li Yan had returned from the Purple Star, his expression particularly grim: "I brought back more intelligence. A few months before the coup, Yage secretly sent an exploration team to the 'Gray Zone' at the edge of the Purple Star Dimension."

"The Gray Zone?" Shi Qi asked curiously.

"That is what the Purple Star scientists call it," Li Yan explained, "referring to the area where the dimensional boundaries become blurred, belonging neither entirely to the Purple Star Dimension nor to any known dimension. Almost all exploration teams that entered the Gray Zone were unable to return, but Yage's team came back, and... brought something back."

"A type of black energy," Xu Feng took over the conversation, taking a specially made container from the metal case he carried with him, inside which were sealed a few strands of ink-black energy threads, "I collected energy samples from various rifts, and the analysis results are worrying."

Xu Feng activated the desktop holographic projection, displaying an energy structure diagram: "This black energy is different from any form of energy we know. It does not belong to the Five Elements system, nor is it a form of Purple Star energy. Most worrying is that it possesses 'corrosiveness'—it can erode and alter other types of energy."

"That explains why Yage became so powerful," Ling Bo frowned, "He was eroded by this energy and became its vessel."

Lin Xuan's expression was grave: "The 'Sixth' that Xuan Qingzi warned us about is very likely referring to this unknown energy from outside the dimensions."

During the discussion, Lin Xuan's communicator suddenly rang. The head of the medical department reported that Xiao Yuan's brain waves were showing abnormal fluctuations and that she might be about to wake up.

"I'll go check on her," Lin Xuan stood up, "You all continue analyzing the data, especially the weaknesses of this black energy."

He quickly arrived at the medical center. Xiao Yuan was lying quietly in a special energy pod, surrounded by five-colored light that maintained the balance of energy within her. The monitoring screen showed her vital signs were stable, but her brain activity was unusually active.

Lin Xuan sat down beside the energy pod and gently placed his hand on the transparent wall, releasing gentle Wood Element Energy in an attempt to wake her: "Xiao Yuan, can you hear me?"

At this very moment, a strange change occurred—Xiao Yuan's body suddenly burst forth with dazzling golden light. Those symbols looked like some kind of Ancient Text, yet they carried distinct traces of energy, vibrating slightly in the air.

Lin Xuan stood up in surprise; he recognized these symbols—Heavenly Origin Text, an Ancient Text system that recorded the mysteries of the origin of Five Elements Energy, which had only been recorded on certain core components of the Heavenly Origin Instrument. Ordinary Practitioners could not understand this text at all, but Lin Xuan, as a Wood Element Guardian, could vaguely perceive the information contained within.

"Quick!" Lin Xuan hurriedly contacted the other Guardians, "Everyone come to the medical center immediately!"

In less than a minute, the other four Guardians arrived, all shocked by the symbols floating in the air.

"This is... Heavenly Origin Text?" Ling Bo asked softly, "But it's more complex than the one on the Heavenly Origin Instrument."

Xu Feng immediately activated his recording equipment to capture every symbol: "I have never seen such a complete sequence of Heavenly Origin Text; this is simply a miracle."

"How could Xiao Yuan possess this knowledge?" Shi Qi looked at the unconscious girl in confusion.

Lin Xuan pondered for a moment: "I believe this is not knowledge from Xiao Yuan herself, but information transmitted by the Earth Consciousness through her. Her Full Element Body makes her the ideal medium."

The symbols lasted for about ten minutes before gradually dissipating, and Xiao Yuan fell back into a peaceful, unconscious state. Xu Feng immediately began to parse the collected data, while the other four waited nervously for the results.

"This is a coordinate system," a few hours later, Xu Feng finally extracted the key information from the dense symbols, "pointing to a specific location deep within the Kunlun Shan."

"Activating what kind of sequence?" Li Yan asked.

Xu Feng shook his head: "Not sure, but according to the hints in the symbols, there may be some kind of ancient device related to the Heavenly Origin Instrument there."

The five immediately decided: "We must go investigate at once."

After leaving elite students to guard the academy, the location pointed to by the coordinates was in a blind spot on conventional maps, a place even the most experienced local guides had never set foot in.

After six hours of arduous trekking, crossing steep mountain paths and dense primeval forests, the five finally reached a hidden valley. On the surface, it looked no different from other parts of the Kunlun Shan; ancient rocks, sparse alpine vegetation, and clear mountain springs formed a typical high-mountain landscape.

"This is it," Xu Feng checked the coordinate data, "But I don't see any man-made structures."

Shi Qi closed her eyes and injected Earth Element Energy into the ground to perform deep-level sensing. A moment later, she opened her eyes in shock: "There is a huge artificial space below! The scale is unbelievable, and it was formed at least one hundred thousand years ago!"

"One hundred thousand years ago?" Li Yan repeated in surprise, "That is far earlier than any known human civilization record."

Shi Qi nodded: "And the construction is incredibly precise; it seems to have been formed with the help of Earth's own energy veins."

"Where is the entrance?" Lin Xuan looked around and asked.

Shi Qi led everyone to a seemingly ordinary boulder: "Right under this, there is a passage that leads directly to the underground space."
