Chapter 356

Bai Xiaowei took the 【Cloud Sky Demonic Flame Bow】 and the Shi Shi Refining Stone with her small hands,

the fingers under the bow's grip stretched out, pointing at herself,

seemingly not quite believing Su Yu's words.

These were all Epic-grade items, after all…

If the refining failed,

the loss…

"Mm," Su Yu nodded.

"Su Yu… Great God Su Yu, m-maybe, better not?"

Bai Xiaowei squeezed out a smile uglier than crying,

she was terrified that if she failed the refining, she'd probably end up as Su Yu's bed-warming maid,

but then again, that was Su Yu after all — being a bed-warming maid… didn't seem half bad?

"Go ahead and refine, I won't blame you if it fails."

Su Yu said in a gentle voice.

"O-okay."

Bai Xiaowei flipped up her black skirt and casually sat down on the floor,

set down the 【Cloud Sky Demonic Flame Bow】 and the Shi Shi Refining Stone,

breathed a puff of warm air onto her palm, then rubbed her little hands together,

her gaze growing increasingly excited.

The 【Cloud Sky Demonic Flame Bow】 — who knew how many people dreamed of getting their hands on it,

and now, it was right in her hands!

Even if only temporarily…

Su Yu watched Bai Xiaowei's superstitious little ritual, feeling rather uneasy.

Refining,

although it could boost an equipment's enhancement,

the cost was also very obvious.

The higher the refining level, the higher the failure rate.

Moreover, refining stones were very hard to come by,

ordinary-grade ones were fine — the 【Mystery Shop】 refreshed them often,

but anything above advanced grade was quite precious.

Refining levels,

1–3, 4–6, 7–9, each was a watershed.

Levels 1–3 boosted enhancement by 50% per level.

Levels 4–6 boosted enhancement by 100% per level.

Levels 7–9 boosted enhancement by 200% per level.

As for level 10, and beyond level 10, that was downright terrifying.

Every level gained added an extra 200% enhancement.

In other words, level 10 +1 = 400% enhancement, level 11 +1 = 600% enhancement, and so on,

the most important point —

refining levels have no cap!

It's just that, when refining above level 3, a failure drops the level by 1.

0 ······ Please send flowers 0 ·····

When refining above level 6, a failure drops the level by 2.

When refining above level 9, a failure resets the level to zero.

When refining above level 12, a failure destroys the equipment!

So, although theoretically refining levels have no cap, very few pieces of equipment actually reach high refining levels.

Power always comes with a price.

On the Myriad Realms Battlefield,

being able to obtain a weapon suited to oneself was already difficult enough,

as for refining levels — reaching +6 already made one a person above persons.

Anything higher was beyond imagination.

【Congratulations, refining successful!】

【"Cloud Sky Demonic Flame Bow" refining level +1, current refining level: 4.】

Bai Xiaowei breathed a puff onto the 【Cloud Sky Demonic Flame Bow】 and immediately began refining.

A flash of gilded luster swept across the 【Cloud Sky Demonic Flame Bow】 and vanished,

Su Yu knew this was the sign of a successful refine.

..... 0

He himself had failed twice in a row,

he hadn't expected Bai Xiaowei to hit +4 on her very first try.

"Um… Great God Su Yu, should I keep refining?"

Bai Xiaowei asked tentatively.

"Mm, refine it." Su Yu nodded.

"Do you have any ordinary refinement stones?" Bai Xiaowei asked again.

"What would you need such things for?"

Su Yu paused for a moment, then still took out one hundred ordinary refinement stones.

Whenever the Mystery Shop refreshed with these items, he bought them all.

After all, the price wasn't high; it was just territory energy.

Selling them back at the 【Trading House】 could still earn a profit.

Bai Xiaowei happily accepted the ordinary refinement stones,

then took out a common-grade pig-iron sword.

She began refining.

Refinement successful, refinement successful, refinement successful...

Su Yu couldn't understand what this girl was trying to do.

He just watched her take a common-grade pig-iron sword

and refine it smoothly all the way to +9 in one go,

nearly choking on his own breath.

【Regret, refinement failed!】

【"Pig-iron Sword" refinement level reset to zero, current refinement level: 0.】

Now's the chance!

Bai Xiaowei's eyes lit up,

and she grabbed two Epic-grade refinement stones, shoving them onto the 【Yuntian Demon-Flame Bow】.

【Congratulations, refinement successful!】

【"Yuntian Demon-Flame Bow" refinement level +1, current refinement level: 5.】

【Congratulations, refinement successful!】

【"Yuntian Demon-Flame Bow" refinement level +1, current refinement level: 6.】

Two streams of gilded golden light flashed and vanished.

Su Yu's eyes widened slightly in daze.

"Hehe, Great God Su Yu, I have not failed you."

Bai Xiaowei held the 【Yuntian Demon-Flame Bow +6】 in her hands, flashing a brilliant smile.
