Chapter 47: Prince of the Moon and Stars—How Could I Possibly Decline?
“Are all the things you’ve said true?”
“Absolutely true! That brat used a bow—*whoosh, whoosh, whoosh*—and slaughtered all of us!”
Luo Feng stood before a handsome man, recounting his encounter.
Beside him stood his two companions, utterly dazed and hollow-eyed.
The handsome man listened in silence, then swept his gaze toward the other two: “Is everything he said true?”
“Yes, Your Highness!” Both nodded vigorously.
Before the Prince of Queen Yuexing, they dared not conceal a single thing.
The Prince of Queen Yuexing likewise believed they dared not lie.
Yaheng Hobson,
As the Prince of Queen Yuexing, he was also the leader of the newly formed Queen Yuexing Alliance composed of regional lords.
“Then… that bow of his must be at least a Legendary-tier weapon!”
“And its tier is no lower than Level 10!”
A cold gleam flashed in Yaheng’s eyes,
To possess a Legendary-tier weapon within the first ten days of the game?!
How terrifying would that be for early-stage development and construction?
Avarice flickered across Yaheng’s face.
“@All Members: All Queen Yuexing Alliance lords within a 500-li radius—mobilize your troops immediately!”
“Yes, sir!”
“No problem, Your Highness!”
“It would be our honor to serve you!”
After issuing the order in the Queen Yuexing Alliance group chat, Yaheng’s mood brightened considerably.
He had randomly obtained the Legendary-tier troop-building structure—the Dream Demon Pavilion—which allowed recruitment of the Legendary troop: Dream-Eating Demons.
Moreover, from the Hero Pavilion, he had recruited the Rare hero—the Orc Habason!
Though this Orc hero left the female farmers in his territory utterly exhausted and miserable,
it still symbolized formidable power!
With this strength, he could confidently outmatch the Blue Star Princess on Blue Star.
Because while the Blue Star Princess possessed only a Legendary-tier troop-building structure, her heroes were utterly ordinary!
In this “Global Human Civilization Lord Selection Contest,”
Queen Yuexing was unquestionably ranked above Blue Star.
Yet he never imagined—
that Blue Star actually had a lucky soul who’d recruited a Legendary hero!
Having witnessed firsthand how powerful Rare heroes were, Yaheng naturally understood exactly what a Legendary hero implied.
Even at Level 1, a Legendary hero required ten same-level Legendary troops to stand against them!
Recruiting Legendary troops was extremely costly.
Even though he’d frantically collected “Troop Recruitment Edicts,”
his domain currently housed only thirty Dream-Eating Demons.
Their levels had barely broken past Level 10.
They simply couldn’t compare to a Legendary hero.
Still, he was confident he could defeat that Legendary hero using Orc Habason alongside the Dream-Eating Demons.
But… heroes’ growth potential was immense.
The higher their level, the more terrifying their combat prowess became.
The growth trajectory of a Legendary hero was something he scarcely dared imagine.
“Heh heh—once I seize that Legendary bow, my early development speed will surely surpass yours!”
“Even if you possess a Legendary hero, you’ll only become formidable once you’ve developed—right?”
“Su Yu…”
Yaheng muttered the name bitterly, his eyes flashing with malice.
“Um… Your Highness, what about us three…?”
Luo Feng and the other two exchanged glances, then finally Luo Feng gazed pleadingly at Yaheng.
Yaheng glanced at them, brows slightly furrowed—why hadn’t they left yet?
Having disgraced the Queen Yuexing Alliance, what more did they want?
“What do you want?” Yaheng asked indifferently.
“Could we… please be granted a ‘Hero Recruitment Edict’ so we may recruit a new hero?”
As Luo Feng spoke, all three fixed hopeful eyes upon Yaheng.
In the early stage of domain establishment, a “Hero Recruitment Edict” was extremely valuable.
Yet as representatives of Queen Yuexing dispatched to the “Global Human Civilization Lord Selection Contest,”
acquiring one “Hero Recruitment Edict” shouldn’t have been particularly difficult, in theory.
However, every aspect of the Queen Yuexing Alliance was under the Prince of Queen Yuexing’s control.
All domain energy from every lord had to be surrendered to him.
And he alone decided how it was allocated.
Yaheng sneered: “Return to Queen Yuexing. I’ll take care of your domains for you.”
Hearing this, the three froze, staring at Yaheng in disbelief—as if unable to trust their own ears.
“Your Highness Prince, please don’t!”
“Your Highness Prince, Your Highness Prince… I don’t want to lose my status as a Lord!”
“Your Highness Prince…”
The three of them dropped to their knees and began weeping.
Originally, it had only been a hero’s death—but no one expected the Prince himself to issue a death order.
To forfeit one’s status as a Lord was tantamount to having one’s Lord Crystal breached.
“Get out—stay far away from me!”
“You’ve disgraced the Moon Star Alliance—yet you still want to remain a Lord?”
Yaheng kicked them away with disgust and turned to leave.
Instantly, wails and cries echoed without end.
……
“My Lord, something terrible has happened!” A guard rushed over in panic.
“What is it?” Yaheng frowned slightly.
“The south—the southern watchtowers have all been destroyed!” the guard reported.
“What?!”
Yaheng froze for a moment. To the south of his territory,
the newly appointed Lords of the Moon Star Alliance
had erected a defensive line.
Destroyed?
Yaheng hastily opened his Lord Terminal.
Sure enough, numerous messages tagged him:
“Your Highness Prince! An attack is underway!!”
“How many troops?”
“No troop types, no heroes—just a single Lord!”
“No troops, no heroes—just one Lord…?” Yaheng wore a strange expression.
“Yes—he wields a black-and-blue bow!”
Upon reading this, a smile spread across Yaheng’s face.
He’d been preparing to gather forces to hunt him down—yet here he came, walking straight into the trap.
Since you’ve delivered yourself to me, I’ll gladly accept that legendary bow.
Su Yu darted swiftly through the forest,
the hero who had slain Luo Feng and his two companions, along with their troops.
His level rose from Level 5 to Level 7.
His combat power surged to 700 points!
His running speed reached an astonishingly extreme level!
And thanks to the “Mythical Sprite’s Blessing” effect embedded within the Cloud-Heaven Demon Flame Bow,
the wind offered not the slightest resistance to his speed,
instead gently aiding his advance.
It shielded his eyes from flying sand and gravel.
Suddenly, the light ahead flared brilliantly—Su Yu burst out of the forest.
Before him stretched a vast, open plain.
“This terrain is perfect for an opening move,” Su Yu murmured, gazing toward the distant horizon,
surveying the lush green grassland.
In his earlier strategic planning,
the ideal starting terrain had always been grassland.
It was worlds apart from his own barren mountains.
But for him now, terrain no longer mattered at all.
His territory’s development faced no geographical constraints—it required no gradual expansion.
Gazing at the watchtowers dotting the far end of the plain,
Su Yu narrowed his eyes and drew the bowstring taut.
He had no idea just how far the Cloud-Heaven Demon Flame Bow’s range truly extended.
Yet everything within his line of sight had never once missed its mark.
As long as he willed it,
even if he fired an arrow skyward with the Cloud-Heaven Demon Flame Bow,
the arrow would pivot midair under the “Cloud-Heaven” effect and fly unerringly toward its target.
“Bang!”
The arrow pierced the watchtower, and black demon flames erupted fiercely across the wooden structure.
Su Yu declared his invasion.
“Who—who are you?!”
A newly appointed Moonstar Lord stared at Su Yu in terror.
His terminal clearly labeled Su Yu as a Lord unit,
yet he sensed Su Yu was more like a Rare-tier powerful hero!
Had a building unit—the watchtower—just been obliterated by a single arrow?!
“The one come to kill you,” Su Yu replied coldly.
In the Myriad Realms Battlefield, seizing cities and conquering lands needed no justification.
“Cavalry—charge!!” The Moonstar Lord gritted his teeth and roared.
From the camp surged dozens of Rare-tier cavalry units,
mounted on fiery steeds and wielding long halberds, their battle cries thunderous.
Cavalry units on grassland terrain?
What luck.
Su Yu raised an eyebrow in surprise—and drew his bow again.
[Congratulations! You have slain 50 Rare-tier Cavalry units, earning 175,000 experience points.]
[Congratulations! Your level has risen to Level 8, and all attributes have increased.]
[Congratulations! Your level has risen to Level 9, and all attributes have increased.]
[Congratulations! Your level has risen to Level 10, and all attributes have increased.]
Gaining levels through slaying troops really was faster!
Su Yu squinted slightly, surveying this territory laid out in a straight line.
To be fair, the Moonstar people were highly organized.
They had claimed territory in a perfectly linear formation,
so even with only a Level-3 Lord Crystal—capping territory at 500 squares—
their domain still spanned 50,000 meters.
Fifty kilometers—neither small nor large.
But if all nearby Moonstar Lords did the same,
their territories would interlock into a vast, inescapable net.
This meant they had deliberately coordinated, relocated their territories, and seized control of this great grassland.
The Territory Relocation Card was certainly not cheap.
The more buildings relocated, the higher the cost.
Given the scale of Su Yu’s territory, relocation was virtually impossible.
He hadn’t planned to relocate anyway.
The Moonstar Lord watched helplessly as all fifty cavalry he’d painstakingly trained—spending every last resource—
All perished.
Terrified, he collapsed onto the ground, trembling with fear.
“Who’s in charge of your so-called Moon Star Alliance?”
As Su Yu spoke, he gripped the bow handle of the Cloud-Heaven Demon Flame Bow.
Gently tapping the pale-blue Lord Crystal.
Producing a crisp, pleasant sound.
The Moon Star Lord’s eyes followed the up-and-down motion of Su Yu’s bow handle.
“The King—His Highness the Prince! It’s His Highness the Prince!”
He stammered, voice quavering.
Afraid that Su Yu might accidentally shatter his Lord Crystal with a single careless tap.
If troops fell in battle, one could still rise again.
But if the Lord Crystal shattered, all hope would be lost.
A Moon Star Prince?
Su Yu raised an eyebrow slightly.
Should be roughly on par with Gu Gu Linger’s status, right?
“Take me to your prince’s territory.” Su Yu gazed across the vast, boundless grassland, squinting slightly as he spoke.
“Yes, yes!” The Moon Star Lord dared not refuse; he swallowed hard.
Frantically scrambled to his feet.
Led Su Yu forward, and only breathed a little easier once they’d left his own territory far behind.
Reported the situation via terminal.
Meanwhile, Su Yu pretended not to notice at all.
Step by step, he advanced deeper into this coalition-controlled territory of the Moon Star Alliance.
……
“Hah! The Moon Star Alliance got invaded?”
“Is it true or false? Weren’t they supposed to gather forces and reclaim their honor?”
“How soon did they launch the assault?”
“How many troops were deployed? Attacking the Moon Star Alliance—that’s suicide!”
“It seems… there were no troops, no units, no heroes—just one person. One lord.”
“One lord???”
