Chapter 1085: Divine Way
"Baqi Orochi? Fusang, Divine Way?" Chen Yu frowned. It seemed Sang Kun was not entirely useless in S Country; he actually had the support of the Divine Way.
An Onmyoji wearing a hunting robe walked out, a tall black hat perched on his head, making him look exceptionally tall.
"What does this matter have to do with your Divine Way?" Chen Yu stared at the man and asked, puzzled.
This man was none other than San Mu. He smiled slightly and said, "Mr. Chen Yu, I have long admired your name. I am San Mu of the Divine Way."
"Long admired my name? I have always kept a low profile; I don't know you at all." Chen Yu sneered, not giving San Mu any face.
"You may not know me, but you certainly will in the future. I want to discuss a business deal with you." San Mu took out a Folding Fan and fanned himself ostentatiously.
"I have no interest in doing business with you Fusang people," Chen Yu said indifferently. "If the person you want to protect is Sang Kun, then today I will kill you along with him."
"You can take Sang Kun's Life whenever you want. What I want to discuss with you is the Emerald mine." San Mu smiled.
"Are you eyeing my Emerald mine?" A sharp glint flashed in Chen Yu's eyes.
"Yes, heh heh. You know there are Spirit Stones in the Emerald mine, and we know it too. Moreover, we set our sights on it earlier, but you snatched it away before we could make a move. So, what you have now was actually snatched from our hands," San Mu said.
"What do you want?" Chen Yu raised an eyebrow.
"I only want the Spirit Stones. All produced Spirit Stones belong to our Divine Way, and as for the money earned, it belongs to you. How about that? As long as you agree, our Divine Way will provide security services for your industries here," San Mu chuckled.
"I'm afraid you don't know who I am," Chen Yu laughed. This was nothing more than daylight robbery. San Mu never intended to negotiate properly from the start, and coincidentally, he didn't intend to negotiate with these Fusang people either.
"It doesn't matter, as long as you are obedient. In our eyes, aren't people like you just someone else's dog?" San Mu spread his hands.
"A dog?" Chen Yu raised his head, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes. Suddenly, he turned into an afterimage and kicked toward San Mu. San Mu let out a miserable shriek and was sent flying. By the time he returned, his face was full of rage.
"You dare hit me? Don't think that just because you are a practitioner of Martial Dao, you can do whatever you want. You have no idea how powerful an Onmyoji is," San Mu said with a ferocious grin.
"So in your eyes, I am only a Martial Artist?" Chen Yu looked at San Mu in surprise. "Where did you get your intelligence from?"
"Heh, you have interfered with the power changes of our Fusang underworld. Don't think I don't know who you are. We have been watching you since half a year ago," San Mu said coldly.
"In other words, your understanding of me is from half a year ago?" Chen Yu wanted to laugh. "What a pity, your outdated intelligence has ruined you."
"Enough talk. Since you don't know what's good for you, I'll have to eliminate you." San Mu took out three white Talismans painted with special patterns, then gritted his teeth and wiped his fingertips across the Talismans.
Three bloodstains appeared on the Talismans. The Talismans turned into a white light and shot into the sky. At the same time, he formed seals with his hands, "With my blood, I command the gods to return."
As he chanted the incantation, a man with red hair and a green face suddenly appeared.
An Onmyoji's Shikigami. This red-haired man was a type of local Fusang spirit monster, contracted by an Onmyoji, and thereafter served the Onmyoji as his master. If the master lives, the servant lives; if the master dies, the spirit perishes.
"Kill him," San Mu commanded.
The red-haired man slowly stepped forward. He knelt on one knee, then lifted his head. His eyes gradually turned white, without any pupils, and the veins on his green face bulged, looking extremely terrifying.
Suddenly, the red-haired man's large mouth split open, and he let out a hysterical roar at Chen Yu.
The sound was as loud as a bell, yet extremely sharp. The shrill sound contained within it was like tiny knives; not only would it pierce your eardrums, but it could also slice your skin into pieces.
Qin Sheng—this was a monster not recorded in the books. Its name sounded pleasant. It often appeared in fog-shrouded seas, attracting fishermen or merchant ships with its beautiful singing, only to kill them and eat their hearts.
The attack of Qin Sheng was fierce. The glass of the factory behind Chen Yu shattered, and the flowers, plants, and trees were all blown away, as if a hurricane had passed through.
The sound waves made Chen Yu frown, but it wasn't because of the creature's attack; it was simply because the sound was too ear-piercing.
Chen Yu sneered, "Do you really think I have no way to deal with you? A spirit monster from outside the Domain, and you dare to seek death?"
As soon as Chen Yu finished speaking, he held his breath and focused his mind. Opening his mouth, he recited the "Full River Red."
"Wrath bristles the hair, leaning on the railing, the drizzling rain stops, I lift my eyes to gaze..."
With every word uttered, a huge musical note appeared. The notes condensed into a golden character, then exploded with a boom.
To outsiders, Chen Yu's voice might not have sounded very loud, but this Tiangang Sound was the supreme nemesis of such spirit monsters.
Qin Sheng began to grow restless. It opened its large mouth, revealing sharp teeth, hissing, and then retreated step by step.
"Do not retreat, or you die!" San Mu roared. He would not allow his Shikigami to retreat, because this represented the face of an Onmyoji. If the Shikigami was defeated, it meant he was defeated.
A black whip appeared in San Mu's hand, and he lashed out at the Shikigami. Qin Sheng shrieked, black mist leaking from its skin, and it hurriedly turned to face Chen Yu again.
But it could not withstand Chen Yu's Tiangang Sound at all. Suddenly, its head exploded with a boom, turning into a rotten watermelon.
San Mu, whose mind was connected to the Shikigami, spat out a mouthful of blood. He stumbled back several steps, looking at Chen Yu with fury: "You, you are not a Martial Artist, you are a Dharma Cultivator?"
"Sorry, I entered the ranks of Dharma Cultivators a long time ago. When you were investigating me, I must have just finished dealing with your Fusang gangs," Chen Yu laughed. "So, your outdated intelligence has ruined you."
"You are a Dharma Cultivator, you are actually a Dharma Cultivator! No wonder you could see that there were Spirit Stones in that Jade mine. This thing is a supreme treasure for you Dharma Cultivators," San Mu looked dazed.
Immediately, he said furiously, "Chen Yu, you should know what kind of place our Divine Way is. If you are sensible..."
Chen Yu joined his right hand into a Sword Finger and slashed forward. A Spiritual Light condensed into a thin line of Sword Qi, and this Sword Qi suddenly swept across San Mu's neck.
San Mu staggered back a few steps. He stared fixedly at Chen Yu, his hands flailing wildly. Then, a line of blood appeared on his neck. He fell to his knees with a thud, his Life slowly fading away.
