Chapter 1103: Killing Amiluo
Ling Yun dodged the first ring of fire with a flash, then suddenly threw her body down, her momentum carrying her forward. She also dodged the second and third rings of fire.
Amiluo cursed, then retreated rapidly. He had lost his Mind Power and had no way to lock onto Ling Yun's position, let alone restrain her, so he could only retreat.
As this fellow retreated, his hands rapidly formed seals. A gale formed before him, and in an instant, these winds transformed into a sky full of sharp blades, attacking Ling Yun.
Ling Yun dodged with a flash and dashed forward rapidly. As she ran, she dodged these Wind Blades, using extremely unique footwork to evade one Wind Blade after another.
A figure flashed by; Ling Yun appeared before Amiluo with incredible speed and angle, then swung the Dagger in her hand.
Amiluo let out a miserable shriek; his chest had been pierced by the Dagger in Ling Yun's hand, and blood flowed freely.
He took a few deep breaths, attempting to use Divine Power to repair his lacerated body, but a faint glow emanated from his wounds. Instead of healing, the glow at the wounds caused them to widen further, showing no signs of closing.
"Did you tamper with the Dagger?" Amiluo looked at Chen Yu with fury.
"Yes," Chen Yu said.
"You said you wouldn't intervene; you've gone back on your word," Amiluo was even more enraged.
"I gave her a weapon, I didn't step in to help her. If I had truly stepped in to help her, you wouldn't have lasted even a second under my hand," Chen Yu sneered.
"Fine, just you wait." Amiluo began to cast a Curse again.
"Are you going to give him another chance?" Chen Yu glanced at Ling Yun to the side.
Ling Yun realized what was happening. With a soft cry, she pushed off the ground with both feet, her entire body lunging forward. Then, flipping her right hand, she swung the Dagger in her hand and attacked Amiluo once more.
*Puff*... Before Amiluo could finish chanting his incantation, the Dagger in Ling Yun's hand had pierced straight through his chest.
"You..." Amiluo glared at Chen Yu in fury, then grabbed his Scepter and lunged violently at Ling Yun.
Ling Yun quickly pulled out the Dagger and brushed past Amiluo's figure. With a *puff*, a bloody gash appeared on Amiluo's neck. His eyes widened, then he collapsed to the ground with a thud, his Life rapidly draining away.
The battle intent on Ling Yun's body vanished, and her tightly coiled spirit relaxed at once.
She looked back at the already lifeless Amiluo, revealing a look of calm relief.
Ever since her last duel with Amiluo, she had been unable to overcome the hurdle in her heart; she did not understand why there was such a large gap between her and Amiluo.
But today, she had personally dealt with this enemy. Although she had Chen Yu's help, she was able to plunge the Dagger into the opponent's heart and take his Life.
"Actually, his power comes from the Asura Hell. It is powerful, but the time required to form seals and chant incantations is long. His strongest method for dealing with people is Mind Power."
Chen Yu said, "With a single thought, he can lock onto your position and then use Divine Power to finish you off. So, if you don't seal his Mind Power, it is very difficult for you to defeat him."
"Once his Mind Power is sealed, the time he requires is too long, so his Divine Power loses its effectiveness. Thus, his situation is not much stronger than an ordinary person's," Ling Yun said.
"Correct, so dealing with someone like him is actually not difficult," Chen Yu said.
"Then how can I avoid being interfered with by Mind Power?" Ling Yun raised her head and asked Chen Yu.
"Meditation," Chen Yu said indifferently. "Let your own Mental Power increase significantly; that way, you will be minimally affected by the opponent's Mind Power, or perhaps not affected by them at all."
"Can you teach me?" Ling Yun looked at Chen Yu with anticipation.
"Of course I can," Chen Yu nodded slightly. "After we go back, I will teach you."
"Thank you," Ling Yun nodded gratefully to Chen Yu.
On the other side, Xiaoniao and the others had already rushed into Zakeer's room and captured Zakeer alive. However, Kuangtu slashed the opponent's hand, took out an instrument, and verified it, his expression changing drastically: "This is a fake."
Everyone's complexion turned somewhat ashen. They had gone to great lengths to finally reach Zakeer's lair, but they never expected that this fellow was actually a fake. It seemed Zakeer was an old fox; he actually knew how to use a body double.
"Where is Zakeer? Speak," Xiaoniao stared at the body double.
"I, I don't know, I don't know anything." This fake was trembling with fear. He had only come here to enjoy good food and drink; how could he have imagined that a group of people would be pointing guns at him?
"Anna..." Xiaoniao barked, "Is there any reliable intelligence?"
"Intelligence indicates that Zakeer is in the camp, but it is unknown exactly where. This fake is an actor," Anna reported to everyone via radio.
"The camp is so big; finding Zakeer will likely not be easy," Xiaoniao pondered slightly. "Split into two groups to search the camp."
"Yes." Kuangtu nodded, grabbed his gun, and followed them out.
Meanwhile, Yu Sichen had a slight premonition. She looked toward the due west; it seemed some kind of ritual was taking place in that direction.
"Miss Yu, is there a problem?" Xiaoniao noticed that something was wrong with Yu Sichen.
"Due west, the A-San Divine Sect is performing some kind of ritual. Notify your teammates not to head in that direction; I will go over and take a look first," Yu Sichen's delicate brows furrowed slightly.
Ever since she slew the Dragon Maiden, her spirit and energy seemed to have changed; her abilities and perception had been greatly enhanced. Moreover, that ritual seemed to have some kind of connection to her—or rather, a connection formed after she merged with the Dragon Maiden's spirit and energy—so she had to go and take a look.
"Alright, Miss Yu, be careful." Xiaoniao pressed the walkie-talkie: "Everyone pay attention, do not go due west."
After saying this, Xiaoniao disappeared rapidly.
And deep in a dense forest to the due west, some kind of ritual was indeed taking place.
In the very center of the forest was a large clearing where an Altar had already been built. Eighteen Priests of the A-San Divine Sect, dressed in long robes, stood in a row before the Altar. They were the entire upper echelon of the God Sect following the merger of the Brahma Sect and the A-San Divine Sect.
Behind them were dozens of elites from the sect; these people were now kneeling on the ground, performing sacrifices to the Altar.
Directly in front of the Altar stood an Eight-Armed Divine Statue. This statue was likely some deity from the legends of the A-San Divine Sect. The deity had a ferocious expression, its appearance extremely savage, its mouth wide open as if it wanted to swallow everything before it.
Chen Yu and Ling Yun had already broken through to the front of the Altar. Ling Yun's face turned slightly pale; these eighteen Priests were likely the people stronger than Amiluo that Yu Sichen had mentioned before she arrived.
