Li Xiao ignored Chen Yu entirely; she simply walked forward mechanically, lifting her hands and feet as if she were a puppet being manipulated.

"Li Xiao, don't keep walking forward," Chen Yu shouted.

Li Xiao slowly raised her head; her entire body's skeleton appeared unnaturally twisted. She opened her eyes, and the pupils within them had vanished; both eyes were entirely white.

"I... I..." Li Xiao struggled to spit out two words.

A glimmer of spirit flashed in her eyes for only a moment before they became dull and lifeless again, followed immediately by those colorless white eyeballs rolling upward, which made one's hair stand on end.

"Li Xiao, I am here to save you. Can you still hear me?" Chen Yu called out several times in succession, but Li Xiao had no reaction at all.

She surged over like a marionette, then opened her mouth, her blood-red maw nearly splitting her head in half.

Chen Yu grabbed with his right hand, Primordial Qi surging forth, intending to finish her off.

"Don't fight her, brother. Her human spirit is very scattered; if you lash out with that palm strike, she will likely never come back," Li Daniu hurriedly stopped Chen Yu.

"Li Xiao?" Chen Yu walked forward and checked Li Xiao's wrist, feeling only a faint pulse still beating slowly.

"How do you feel?" Chen Yu asked.

"Ghost! Help, there's a ghost!" Unexpectedly, as soon as Li Xiao opened her eyes, she began to shriek, struggling desperately and refusing to let anyone get close.

"I am a friend of your classmate Qiqi, and I came here today to save you," Chen Yu shouted in a deep voice.

"She... she is up there." Li Xiao pointed upward, trembling with fear.

"Does it have meaning for you to kill others like this?" Chen Yu shook his head and said, "Every debt has its debtor; go find whoever harmed you. What is the point of killing the innocent indiscriminately? The person who harmed you is still living perfectly well."

"Do you really think I don't want to?" Yanyan's voice suddenly became deep. "He is wealthy and powerful now; after murdering me, he rose to success and is now the boss of a real estate company."

"And he has transformed into a philanthropist, appearing on the news every day, playing his sanctimonious act to the extreme."

"He has experts protecting him by his side; I would vanish into smoke before I could even get near him. Revenge—do you think I don't want it?"

"You cannot get your revenge, so you seek revenge on the innocent people around you? Do you think that is fair to them?" Chen Yu said. "They are merely students who have done no evil. How are you any different from those people by harming them like this?"

"Hahaha, I have resentment in my heart, so I must vent it out. What, are you unhappy?" Yanyan said, taking another small step forward. Now she was only half a step from the edge; as long as she moved again, she would fall from above.

"Let her go, and I will let you have your revenge with your own hands." Chen Yu frowned tightly.

"I don't trust anyone, especially men." Yanyan's voice suddenly became hoarse. "You have no credibility at all; how can you expect me to trust you?"

"I came today to resolve this matter; I have already shown mercy to you. If you remain obsessed and refuse to repent, then don't blame me for being impolite," Chen Yu shouted in a deep voice.

"Cackle, go ahead and be impolite to me then. I want to see how you can be impolite." The silver-bell-like voice rang out again.

Yanyan's expression suddenly turned cold, and she said viciously, "Now, I will jump from here. Let's see who can save me."

After she finished speaking, she took a step forward and fell straight down from above.

Li Xiao screamed and covered her eyes, not daring to look any longer.

Chen Yu beckoned with his right hand, and his sword floated up suddenly. A massive surge of Primordial Qi rose up in that instant, catching Yanyan's body in mid-air before slowly floating it down.

After landing, Yanyan suddenly opened her eyes, the Sha energy in them flashing as she tried to break free, but Chen Yu stepped forward and tapped her with a finger.

With a 'whoosh', the Sha energy was dispersed, and Yanyan's eyes went dark as she fainted to the ground.

A moment later, she slowly regained consciousness, and Li Xiao hurriedly rushed over to hug her: "Yanyan, are you alright now?"
