Chapter 1302: If You Don't Believe Me, Go Ask
"But today I saw that his attitude toward you was unusual, so I have been wondering, who exactly are you?"
"In fact, I am not really familiar with him; I just did him a favor," Chen Yu said with a smile. "He is probably quite grateful to me, which is why his attitude toward me is so good."
"Are you telling the truth?" Liu Ruxi looked at Chen Yu, unable to quite believe what he was saying.
"Of course it's true," Chen Yu said solemnly. "If you don't believe me, you can call him and ask."
"Forget it. If I call him now, wouldn't I be asking for trouble?" Liu Ruxi shook her head. "I won't fall for your trick."
"How is this falling for a trick?" Chen Yu was puzzled.
"I finally got this opportunity, why would I ask so much?" Liu Ruxi rolled her eyes at Chen Yu and said, "For some things, once we've gained an advantage, we shouldn't push our luck."
"Then there's nothing I can do; you don't believe me when I say it," Chen Yu said with a smile.
"By the way, Chen Yu, did you approach me on purpose?" Liu Ruxi had drunk a few glasses and felt a bit dizzy; now, blowing in the evening breeze, she felt a little floaty.
"What do you think?" Chen Yu asked.
"I don't know, you seem to be very capable," Liu Ruxi smiled slightly. "And you are different from those rich second-generation heirs who approached me in the past; their motives were too strong."
"Oh, do I not have a motive?" Chen Yu asked.
"You do too, but your motive isn't as obvious as theirs," Liu Ruxi leaned closer to Chen Yu and said, "There must be secrets on you."
"Everyone has secrets, you have them too, don't you?" Chen Yu smiled. "Everyone buries their secrets deep in their hearts, because only those that are hidden are called secrets; those that aren't hidden don't count."
"What you say seems to make sense, yes, only those that are hidden count as secrets," Liu Ruxi smiled. "Alright then, I won't ask anymore. It's too late, I'm going to rest first."
As Liu Ruxi said this, she stood up and returned to her room.
Chen Yu did not have the slightest bit of sleepiness; he stood up and let the cool breeze blow on him.
It was actually quite late now. Suddenly, he opened his eyes wide; from this cool breeze, he caught a whiff of something unusual.
His brows furrowed slightly, his figure flashed, and with a few leaps, he was already outside the door.
The villa complex was empty and quiet, with no movement at all, but Chen Yu's intuition could not be wrong; the killing intent in the wind just now could not be mistaken.
Following his intuition, he walked slowly forward, and before he knew it, he had walked out of the villa area.
This place was remote enough, and it seemed as if something in front of him was summoning Chen Yu, making him walk forward involuntarily.
When he suddenly snapped to his senses, he was already in a desolate place.
All around were towering trees; a gust of wind blew, and countless leaves fell from the trees.
A back appeared before Chen Yu's eyes; it was a burly man, standing with his back to Chen Yu, and a sense of murderous intent emanated from him.
"Who are you, sir? What did you call me here for?" Chen Yu asked calmly.
"Wu Jiu, Kun Er." The other party's voice was extremely low, as if it had traveled through endless space and crossed countless planes to arrive.
"I don't know you, nor do I know your background, so just tell me the purpose of your coming here," Chen Yu smiled faintly.
"Take someone away." The other party's words were simple, as if he would die if he said one more word.
"Take who?" Chen Yu asked again.
"The person you are protecting is the person I am going to take away," Kun Er said in a deep voice.
"I'm afraid that won't do," Chen Yu smiled slightly. "This person is someone I am protecting, so it wouldn't be appropriate for you to take her away. You'd better change your target."
"I never easily give up on things I have decided to do," Kun Er turned around slowly.
The moment he turned around, Chen Yu could not help but be stunned, because this person had no face; under the hat he wore, there was only a pair of green eyes.
And his entire body seemed as if it were transparent.
"What exactly are you? Neither god nor ghost?" Chen Yu's brows furrowed involuntarily; truthfully, this strange person before him was the only one of his kind he had ever seen in his life.
"You will know what I am," Kun Er was smiling.
Although Chen Yu could not see his face, he clearly felt that this guy was smiling.
"Just say what you want to do," Chen Yu said calmly. "I didn't come here to talk nonsense with you."
"Take Liu Ruxi away. You also know that her body is the Green Lotus Jade Bone, which is One Qi Transforms into Three Lotuses, but this body of hers is still quite valuable," Kun Er said calmly.
"Heh, so that's the idea you had. Actually, I knew long ago that her path of awakening would not be peaceful," Chen Yu sneered.
"She is a person who possesses great fortune, which is why she has the ability of One Qi Transforms into Three Lotuses. Moreover, such a person is blessed by heaven and possesses the Green Lotus Jade Bone; this body of hers was born from the creation of heaven and earth, and many people are eyeing it," Kun Er smiled.
"She is going to awaken recently, so there are many people watching her."
"So I came here," Chen Yu smiled. "With me here, what do you think the chances are of you taking her away?"
"You perhaps do not understand what kind of person I am," red brilliance erupted from Kun Er's two eyes. "In my world, there is only destruction, or erasure."
"Then do you think you can erase me, or destroy me?" Chen Yu stared at him.
"I don't know, but I have to try," Kun Er murmured.
He suddenly raised his arms and abruptly vanished on the spot.
And three feet around Chen Yu, it became an Otherworldly Realm.
This was a black-and-white world without any color; this world was incomparably quiet, and every blade of grass and every tree seemed to have been petrified on the spot.
Chen Yu walked slowly forward, looking at his surroundings.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his back; he turned his head abruptly, only to see a transparent black-and-white shadow holding a knife and stabbing it into his back.
Although this knife did not exist, and this shadow also seemed not to exist, it had indeed injured Chen Yu.
Although it was not fatal and did not cause substantial damage to Chen Yu, it was quite painful to have a small knife stabbing into his body.
Chen Yu struck out with a palm, and the transparent shadow vanished without a trace.
Chen Yu's palm strike seemed to have hit the air, causing no substantial damage to those things at all.
Suddenly, he felt pain in his leg; he looked down and saw another semi-transparent shadow holding a knife and stabbing it into his leg repeatedly.
The knife entered his body without any resistance, did not injure his skin, and no blood flowed out, but the intense pain left Chen Yu with no doubt that this guy was indeed holding a knife and stabbing him viciously.
