Chapter 1309: Talking It Over with Him
Liu Ruxi and Li Jie exchanged a glance, and the two of them stood up without a word.
"What do you mean by this? Sending a driver to talk to me?" This guy couldn't help but be furious; he felt he had been slighted.
"He represents our company. Oh, he is our company's President Chen; it's already doing you a favor for him to talk to you," Li Jie said. "If you don't want to talk, then leave."
As the two spoke, they walked straight out, leaving only this guy behind. This fellow's face was somewhat livid; he stared coldly at Chen Yu and stood up, loosening his collar: "Kid, are you trying to meddle in other people's business?"
"Which company are you from?" Chen Yu looked over the Contract; they were all predatory terms.
"What's it to you?" The man sneered: "People who meddle in other people's business never have a good end."
"I asked which company you are from, and who you are representing?" Chen Yu looked at him askance.
"You motherf..."
Slap... Responding to him was a heavy slap from Chen Yu. This slap sent the guy scrambling to find his teeth; he clutched his mouth and sprawled to one side, not daring to move a muscle.
"You motherf***er, you hit me, I..."
Slap... Another slap was whipped across his face. This fellow spat out a mouthful of fresh blood with a *pfft* sound. While clutching his mouth, he made a gesture for a timeout: "Let's talk things over, don't use your hands."
A fist smashed into his abdomen. This guy clutched his stomach, hunched over in pain, and kept spitting out mouthfuls of blood, unable to recover for a long time.
"I have been talking to you nicely the whole time; it was you who refused to show respect. Is there anything that couldn't be discussed? Did I have to resort to violence?" Chen Yu sneered: "I've seen too many people like you; you're just base."
"Who exactly are you?" After spitting up acid for a long time, this fellow finally reacted.
Slap... A slap was whipped across his face, making him see stars.
"Weren't we talking nicely? Why did you use your hands again?" This guy was almost crying.
"Do you have the qualifications to ask about my identity?" Chen Yu said coldly: "Now take your Contract and get out. Tell them we don't accept the acquisition. If your boss isn't convinced, have him come find me personally. Tell him my name is Chen Yu."
"Okay, okay..." This fellow had a mouth full of blood. He wiped the corner of his mouth and then left the place with a face full of malice.
"Stop." Chen Yu called him to a halt.
"What else do you want?" This guy trembled in fear.
"Wipe the blood on the floor clean. This is the president's office; do you think it's appropriate to make it dirty?" Chen Yu pointed to the pool of blood on the floor.
This blood was the consequence of the two punches that had just taught him how to behave. This fellow was beyond tears; he had no choice but to take off his jacket and wipe the blood on the floor until it was spotlessly clean.
Then he lowered his head and left the place, slinking away without daring to let out so much as a fart.
"Resolved?" Liu Ruxi walked into the office, her face full of joy.
"Yes, resolved." Chen Yu nodded, and he smiled slightly: "It wasn't a big deal to begin with."
"How did you resolve it?" Liu Ruxi asked curiously.
"For people like this, if they don't listen, we resolve it with our fists," Chen Yu said: "This method is simple and crude, but it's also the most effective."
"Hey, you beat someone up again?" Liu Ruxi was slightly stunned, then she smiled bitterly: "He is from Tiancheng Investment Company."
"What? Does this company have a big background?" Chen Yu asked.
"It's not that they have a background; the company's boss is just a hooligan. He goes everywhere acquiring shares; it's annoying as hell. Many startups have been turned into a mess by them and end up unable to continue."
"For a hooligan company like this, you have to use hooligan methods to deal with them," Chen Yu said: "How about you give me another half-day off? I'll resolve the matter once and for all so they'll never dare to come looking for you again."
"Are you serious?" Liu Ruxi looked at Chen Yu with some uncertainty.
"Of course I'm serious." Chen Yu nodded: "Then I'm heading out now. Don't dock my pay today."
"Go ahead. If you can resolve it, not only will I not dock your pay, I'll even give you a raise," Liu Ruxi giggled: "It would be really great if these hooligans could be dealt with."
"Alright then, just wait for my news." Chen Yu smiled slightly and then turned and left.
"You really let him go alone?" Li Jie was a bit worried.
"He said he could resolve it, so let's see how he does it," Liu Ruxi said.
"You didn't tell him how much of a hooligan the people at Tiancheng are?" Li Jie smiled bitterly.
"I told him, but he said that hooligans must be dealt with using hooligan methods. I believe he can handle this matter," Liu Ruxi said with a giggle: "Hiring him was truly a wise decision on our part."
Tiancheng Investment Group, president's office.
The man who had been arrogant and insufferable in Liu Ruxi's office just a moment ago was now standing there with blood all over his face.
Although Chen Yu had held back his strength earlier, he still couldn't handle it.
Sitting in front of the office desk was a man, who was blowing smoke rings while looking at his subordinate.
"President Zhang, the people over there are truly too ruthless. Look at what I've been beaten into." This man began to complain.
"And the business over there isn't as good as we imagined, and they didn't agree to the terms we offered. What should we do?"
The man at the desk was none other than Zhang Tiancheng of Tiancheng Investment.
This guy was a famous hooligan in the industry. He went everywhere looking for developing companies to invest in; if you didn't agree, he would find ways to mess with you until you had no choice but to agree.
Moreover, he loved to boss people around and interfere with a company's decision-making and development, so as long as they were targeted by Tiancheng, they were eighty percent of the way to bankruptcy.
He stubbed out the cigarette in his hand on the desk and then stared at his capable subordinate: "Look at yourself now, what have you become."
"I..." The subordinate's expression was awkward. Indeed, he looked quite wretched now; if this got out, it would damage the company's image.
"What kind of place is our Tiancheng? Heh, they say they don't agree, so they don't agree? Did they ask me?" Zhang Tiancheng sneered.
"But that guy named Chen Yu, who claims to be their company's vice president, is extremely formidable," the subordinate said, somewhat dejected.
The beating Chen Yu had given him earlier had made him suffer greatly. He had been arrogant wherever he went his whole life; he never imagined that one day he would be taught a lesson like this.
"Heh, trying to be more ruthless than us?" Zhang Tiancheng chuckled: "Did you forget what we do? Did you forget what your boss does?"
"I... I haven't forgotten. Then, President Zhang, should I find a few people and strike back?" The subordinate hesitated for a moment and said.
