Chapter 1324: I Don't Have Any Secrets
"Are you hiding something from me?" Liu Ruxi stared at Chen Yu. "Do you and my aunt have some kind of secret?"
"What secret could we possibly have?" Chen Yu was slightly stunned, then laughed. "You really shouldn't overthink it; there is no secret between her and me."
"No, it's not right. I just feel like there is something you two are hiding from me." Liu Ruxi stared at Chen Yu, saying thoughtfully, "Chen Yu, just tell me the truth."
"I really don't have any," Chen Yu said, between laughter and tears. "Alright, stop thinking so much. Let's head back; it's getting late."
"If you have something going on, it's best to tell me directly. Don't make me guess. I'm not a patient person, and I don't want to guess other people's thoughts." Liu Ruxi looked at Chen Yu with a warning.
"Haha, you can set your heart at ease." Chen Yu laughed heartily. "If there is anything, I truly won't hide it from you. We still have to keep an eye on Wang Jun's family tomorrow, so let's go back."
"Why do we have to keep an eye on them?" Liu Ruxi asked, puzzled.
"Because I'm afraid that once they make contact, they won't be willing to part again, and that will be very troublesome," Chen Yu said.
"That is only human nature. That father seems like a very responsible father. With his son having passed away, he must be blaming himself deeply." Liu Ruxi sighed. "If they are allowed to be together, something truly unpredictable will happen."
"Right, so it's better if we go and keep an eye on them," Chen Yu said.
"Alright then, I'll go with you tomorrow. I don't seem to be afraid of these things anymore," Liu Ruxi giggled.
"There was never anything to be afraid of in the first place. These lonely souls sometimes look fierce, but in reality, they are just poor people wandering the world, rejected by all directions and ignored by all sides."
"I understand." Liu Ruxi nodded. "Let's go back. In these next few days, I'll hand my work over to my aunt and go with you to resolve these matters."
"Fine." Chen Yu nodded. Liu Ruxi being so enthusiastic actually surprised him quite a bit.
However, Liu Ruxi herself was one of the three lotuses from Liu Lianxin's past life's One Qi Transforms into Three Lotuses. She possessed a natural Buddha-nature, so it was normal for her to have some interest in these things, but Chen Yu would not say these words to her face.
In the blink of an eye, the night passed. The next day, Chen Yu and Liu Lianxin arrived at the amusement park together.
They saw Wang Jun and his wife happily playing there with their son. With the reinforcement of Chen Yu's Primordial Qi, Huihui had temporarily become human.
He could live under the sunlight just like a person, touch things, and eat the food his father brought him.
The father and son played happily in the amusement park together, riding the carousel, going on the roller coaster, and experiencing the thrilling aerial flips.
Wang Jun himself was a bit afraid of heights, but today, in order to be with his son, he overcame every difficulty.
Xiaoyue was pregnant, so she didn't participate in the more intense rides. She watched the father and son happily, a knowing smile appearing on her face.
Chen Yu and Liu Ruxi were watching from the side. Liu Ruxi suddenly wiped away a tear.
"What's wrong with you?" Chen Yu looked at Liu Ruxi in surprise. He had always felt that Liu Ruxi was a stern CEO, but after these few days of contact, he realized she was actually a woman with a tender heart.
The scene before her eyes perhaps touched something deep inside her.
"I've already forgotten what my dad looks like," Liu Ruxi murmured. "When I was very young, he divorced my mother."
"And my mom went abroad with someone else. All these years, I grew up with my aunt." Liu Ruxi sighed. "My aunt is very good to me, but in the end, she is still just my aunt."
"So all these years, I have had no idea what so-called fatherly love and motherly love actually are."
Chen Yu watched her silently. In fact, Liu Ruxi's situation was not uncommon. It wasn't that she didn't care; it was just that she usually disguised it well, and ordinary people couldn't tell. But deep down, Liu Ruxi was very fragile.
Everyone is adept at disguising themselves. In order to survive in society, they wrap themselves in layer after layer of disguise so that no one can see through them. But they often overlook one thing: no matter how well you disguise yourself, when you are moved by a scene, your true feelings will involuntarily spill out.
"Do I like to cry a lot?" Liu Ruxi sniffled and asked.
"This is how a girl should be," Chen Yu comforted her. "You were too serious before, making me think you were hard to deal with."
"Pfft, I'm not actually serious, but I am very earnest when I work, so some subordinates gave me a nickname. They call me 'the robot' in private," Liu Ruxi couldn't help but laugh with a 'pfft'.
"Haha, I think so too. 'Robot' suits you quite well when you're working." Chen Yu thought for a moment and couldn't help but laugh. "But it doesn't matter, that's your persona."
"You think so too?" Liu Ruxi glared at him. "Do you know that it's very unpleasant for a woman to be called a robot?"
"I know. Then what should I call you? Little Cutie?" Chen Yu chuckled.
"You..." Liu Ruxi was stunned. No man had ever dared to call her that. 'Little Cutie' seemed like a term of endearment between lovers.
But for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to be angry. She glared at Chen Yu, but her face involuntarily turned red.
"I'll allow you to call me that in private when no one is around, but if you dare to call me that when others are present, I'll break off our friendship," Liu Ruxi said fiercely to Chen Yu after blushing for a moment.
"Alright then, Little Cutie, let's go ride the roller coaster and experience that thrill," Chen Yu laughed. "That way, all your unhappiness will be healed."
"Really?" Liu Ruxi looked up at the roller coaster roaring overhead, and she became eager to try. "I'm afraid of heights."
"I'm afraid of heights too, but it doesn't matter, I'm here." Chen Yu took her hand and went to the ticket booth.
Soon, the two were seated on the roller coaster. After being secured, with a 'whoosh', the roller coaster began to move.
A series of screams rang out in the high air. The extreme experience and the rushing wind against their faces were frightening, yet there was a feeling of being unable to stop.
Liu Ruxi screamed wantonly as they roared past. Always afraid of heights, she slowly conquered that feeling and became excited.
After one round, many tourists got off with weak legs, but she appeared exceptionally excited.
"Haha, Chen Yu, that was so thrilling! Let's go again," Liu Ruxi said, grabbing Chen Yu's hand.
