Chapter 1390: Nightingale Bar
"Beauty, care to have a drink together?" the man said to Ping'er with a grin.
"Sorry, not interested." Ping'er shot him a cold glance and spat out the words icily.
"Haha, you look pretty free to me right now, how could you not be interested?" The man wouldn't give up; he watched Ping'er with great interest.
"I said I'm not interested, which means I'm not interested. Don't bother me again, get lost," Ping'er said coldly.
Although her tone was sharp, only she knew that she was just trying to scare him off.
Because she knew that when dealing with things like this, if your momentum falters, the other party will only push their luck.
So even though she was feeling a bit panicked inside, she had to put on a fierce front.
"Why so standoffish?" The man stared at Ping'er and smiled: "Now I'm interested in you."
"I'm really sorry, but I'm not interested in you." Ping'er shot him a cold glance, her tone icy.
Ping'er's intuition told her that the man before her was not a normal human.
It was just that she didn't want to invite trouble; otherwise, she would have already taken action against this man.
But this guy was acting like he had a death wish by coming over to her, which made her extremely annoyed.
"Heh, interesting." The man smiled slightly and said to Ping'er: "Let me introduce myself, my name is Qiuye, we can get to know each other."
"I said, I'm not interested in you." Ping'er moved her hand, ready to strike.
But Chen Yu, who was to the side, quickly pressed down on Ping'er's hand and shook his head at her.
Ping'er was a bit confused; she didn't know what Chen Yu meant, but she still suppressed her temper.
"Friend, stay away from us. She already said she's not interested in you," Chen Yu said, glancing at the man.
"I know, she is indeed not interested in me, but I can try to make her interested in me," the man nodded.
He said with great confidence: "Around here, there really aren't many women who aren't interested in me."
"What a coincidence, she is exactly one of those who aren't," Chen Yu smiled slightly: "We're just here to sit for a while and will be leaving soon. We don't want to cause trouble for ourselves, so... you'd better stay away from us."
"Interesting, it's been a long time since anyone dared to talk to me like that." The man grinned and looked at Chen Yu: "This is your first time here, right?"
"Yes, it's our first time here. This bar is quite nice, both in terms of the environment and everything else," Chen Yu smiled.
"The environment is indeed nice, otherwise it wouldn't attract so many of our kind here," Qiuye grinned: "I haven't asked for your honorable name yet."
"Chen Yu," Chen Yu stated his name.
"Chen Yu?" Qiuye's brows furrowed slightly as he struggled to think.
After a long while, he shook his head and said: "I haven't heard of this name."
"I'm not a local, so it's normal that you haven't heard of it," Chen Yu smiled slightly: "We're just here to sit; if there's nothing else, please don't disturb us."
"Haha," Qiuye laughed. He stood up, pressed his hands on the table, and stared at Ping'er: "I'm interested in this girl."
"Her name is Ping'er," Chen Yu said calmly: "But her temper isn't very good. If she has rejected you, you'd best stay away from her, otherwise, I can't guarantee what will happen next."
"Hmm, Ping'er, there is killing intent on her body. This kind of killing intent is only found on people who have had blood on their hands; she has at least dozens of human lives on her hands."
"Being able to appear here makes her an anomaly in herself. Now I'm even more interested in her; I want to know why she killed so many people."
"She is a soldier. When she went on missions abroad, she likely encountered many hostile forces. Being kind to the enemy is being cruel to oneself. Does that make sense to you?"
"Understood. You really are normal humans. When you first walked in, I smelled that something was off about you."
Qiuye suddenly realized, nodding slightly: "No wonder, heh. But it's already past ten o'clock; this place is no longer somewhere you can stay. Why are you still here?"
"There's no rule saying that after twelve o'clock, normal humans aren't allowed to exist here, is there?" Chen Yu asked.
"No written rules, but it's the custom, everyone knows it," Qiuye grinned.
"So that's a private rule? Sorry, I don't recognize private rules," Chen Yu said calmly.
"That's not for you to decide," the man extended his hand, and several sharp claws emerged from his fingertips.
With a *shhh-la* sound, the table in front of the two was gouged with deep claw marks.
This guy's claws were extremely sharp, looking like those of some feline animal. Chen Yu had seen this before; the large civet that Liu Lianxin had subdued had these very same sharp claws.
It was just that the large civet couldn't transform into human form at the time, while the one before him had completely taken on human form and could even speak human language.
This bar was truly becoming more and more interesting.
It was Ping'er's first time encountering such a situation. Seeing the man's claws suddenly extend, she couldn't help but be startled and stood up abruptly.
She reached to her waist with her right hand, and a gun was already in her hand.
The commotion here had already attracted most of the people in the bar, and a group of people surrounded them.
"Don't be agitated," Chen Yu pressed down on the gun in Ping'er's hand and signaled for her to put it away.
Ping'er's nerves were tightly wound, and cold sweat seeped from her forehead.
Because in her consciousness, not a single one of these things before her was a normal human.
Her perception was too sensitive; in her mind, the people before her were just a group of standing animals.
"It's fine, I'm here," Chen Yu smiled slightly.
Ping'er hesitated for a moment, but under Chen Yu's encouragement, she finally relaxed her tense nerves and slowly put away the gun in her hand.
Qiuye chuckled, blew on the sharp claws on his hand, and said leisurely: "I felt something was wrong with you the moment you walked in. Sure enough, you are anomalies."
"We are anomalies?" Chen Yu was slightly surprised, then he nodded: "I suppose so. Among your group, we two are indeed anomalies."
"Qiuye, why waste so much breath on them? Heh, after ten o'clock, the bar is our world. It's been a long time since any outsiders broke in. Now that these two have, shouldn't we torture them properly?"
A large man said in a buzzing voice. He stepped forward, reaching out to grab the two of them.
"Heihu, what's the rush?" Qiuye waved his hand, pushing the big man's palm to the side.
