Chapter 1824: I Guarantee Your Safety
"Good, good..." Li Qinggui nodded repeatedly; he truly had some concerns.
After all, this was a matter of power struggles, and some deranged people were capable of doing anything.
Now that he was old, he no longer had the ambition of his younger years; with a family and worries, he only wanted peace and safety.
Since Chen Yu had made such a promise, he felt at ease; at least he didn't have to worry about being assassinated in the middle of the night.
"In that case, I will pay a visit to the others," Chen Yu nodded slightly. "I will have to trouble you, Mr. Li, to put in the effort to facilitate this matter as soon as possible."
"Very well, but there is one thing I must remind you of: you must pay close attention to these few people." Li Qinggui wrote down a note with a few names on it.
He said to Chen Yu, "These people are Wang Ye's confidants. Although they have set up their own shops, they still secretly support Wang Ye, so you must be careful with them."
"How does Mr. Li think I should deal with these people?" Chen Yu smiled.
"Once Wang Ye dies, the entire Chinese Community's power structure will be in chaos. Relying on their backers, these people will inevitably become stumbling blocks to the establishment of the General Association, so I think..."
As Li Qinggui said this, he slowly made a cutting gesture with his right hand.
Chen Yu understood immediately; it would be better for these people to be removed sooner rather than later.
"Does Mr. Chen think I am very cruel?" Li Qinggui smiled bitterly.
"I don't think so, because if these people remain, they will fiercely oppose the establishment of the General Association," Chen Yu said with a chuckle. "Moreover, they are highly likely to take risks and make a move against you; you are also forced into this."
"It is good that Mr. Chen can understand me. After all, we are compatriots; if these people still have any intention of repenting, then try to spare their lives," Li Qinggui sighed.
His proposal twenty years ago did not succeed, which was why the Chinese had suffered in resentment for so long, so this time he would definitely not allow himself to fail.
Only by establishing the General Association and gathering all the forces into a single rope could they avoid being bullied by outsiders and restrain some of those with malicious intentions.
"Rest assured, I will definitely handle this matter well," Chen Yu smiled and then left.
Watching Chen Yu leave, Li Qinggui turned and returned to the room; he picked up his phone and dialed a few numbers.
Chen Yu looked at the names on the list; the first stop was the Chunsheng Martial Arts Hall.
The master, Liu Chunsheng, was a man of martial arts.
His Liu Clan's ancestral Thirty-Six Style Fist, although it didn't even count as an entry-level martial art and could only be described as flashy and superficial in Chen Yu's eyes, could not stop these foreigners' love for Huaxia martial arts.
In their eyes, as long as one was a Huaxia person, they knew martial arts; no one had ever doubted this point.
When Chen Yu arrived, a sturdy man, Liu Chunsheng's son Liu Zhen, was there. Liu Chunsheng was over fifty years old and was no longer as agile with his fists and kicks as he used to be, so he handed over full responsibility for most matters to his son.
As Chen Yu entered the door, a burly disciple walked up to him: "Hey, you're here to learn martial arts, right? Have you heard of our master's reputation?"
Chen Yu glanced at the disciple and saw that he had well-developed limbs with great explosive power, and his muscles were almost bursting out.
True Huaxia martial arts could strengthen the body and defend against enemies, but they could never train such a physique.
You could go to any gym and put in a few months of hard work to develop these kinds of muscles; this had nothing to do with martial arts at all.
"I'm not here to learn martial arts; I'm here to find your master. Is your master Liu Chunsheng or Liu Zhen now?" Chen Yu asked.
"Our old master doesn't teach martial arts anymore, so it's useless to look for him. Besides, our Master Liu Zhen is very busy and doesn't have time to see you now. Just tell me whatever you have to say," the muscular disciple glanced at Chen Yu with disdain.
This guy was using the little bit of power he had to the extreme; he always felt a strong sense of superiority in front of Chen Yu.
"There are some things you cannot decide," Chen Yu shook his head. "Since the master is Liu Zhen, let him come out to see me."
"See you? What qualifications do you have to make our master come out to see you?" The disciple was furious. "Leave if you have nothing to do, don't look for trouble for yourself, otherwise you will regret it."
"I'm really not looking for trouble; I truly have business with your master," Chen Yu said helplessly. "Even if you don't call him out, at least report it."
"No reporting, get out now." The guy impatiently shoved Chen Yu.
Unexpectedly, Chen Yu stood there without moving an inch. The disciple couldn't help but look at Chen Yu in surprise: "Yo, kid, you're a practitioner?"
"No, really not," Chen Yu smiled. "I really have business with your master."
"Business my ass. Are you here to challenge the gym? Kid, do you know how to write the word 'death'? Everyone, stop for a second, someone is here to challenge us." The disciple shouted and clapped his hands.
There were more than ten foreigners in the room learning to box; hearing that someone was challenging the gym, they all ran up excitedly.
Because someone was challenging the gym, it meant there was a fight to be had. These guys had joined here and were brainwashed by Liu Zhen and the others every day.
Everyone thought they were invincible, so when they heard someone was here to challenge, these guys ran faster than anyone else.
"I'll state first, I'm not here to challenge the gym," Chen Yu said helplessly. "I'm just here to find someone, everyone don't be so impulsive."
"Cut the crap, pick one of us. Don't say I'm bullying you, just pick the weakest one," the muscular disciple sneered.
"Since that's the case, I'll oblige," Chen Yu nodded. He scanned the room and said with some disappointment, "I don't see anyone here who can fight. Why don't you call your master out?"
"Shut up. Hansen, go teach him a lesson," the muscular disciple pointed at a black man.
The black man named Hansen gave a wicked smile, then let out a roar and lunged out fiercely.
He spread his arms, slammed his chest a few times, and then gave Chen Yu an extremely insulting middle finger.
"Is he the strongest among you?" Chen Yu looked at Hansen and shook his head with disappointment. "You guys here are truly disappointing."
"Enough talk, Hansen, finish him," the muscular man pointed at Chen Yu.
Hansen roared and charged at Chen Yu, swinging his sandbag-sized fist directly at Chen Yu's head.
Was this kid trying to knock Chen Yu down with one punch?
Chen Yu suddenly reached out and pinched the pulse point on his wrist.
Hansen's roar instantly turned into a wail; he screamed and fell to his knees on the ground.
