Chapter 1850: He Is Not Right

~6 min read 1,186 words

Jon's pupils constricted slightly; he looked at his opponent earnestly, then gave a polite nod.

"Let me introduce myself, Chen Yu," Chen Yu said. "I wasn't planning on fighting you today, but your friend insisted on testing my mettle, so there's no help for it; I'll have to let you suffer a bit of a grievance."

Jon's pupils were somewhat blood-red; he stared fixedly at Chen Yu, a wave of inexplicable irritation rising in his chest.

Not waiting for Chen Yu to continue, he let out a roar and straightened his frame; his height of nearly two meters appeared extremely manic.

He pounded his chest violently, like a frenzied gorilla, and lunged at Chen Yu to tear him apart.

A wave of cheers erupted at the scene; this move of Jon's was unexpected, and previous challengers had been torn in two by this very technique.

Chen Yu's frail frame, I'm afraid, could not withstand such a tearing.

However, Chen Yu grabbed both of his hands backhanded and slowly pressed them downward.

"Isn't it a bit dishonorable to launch a sneak attack like this?" Chen Yu smiled.

Jon was stunned; his strength was immense, after all, he possessed a pure Werewolf body.

His hands had never been forcibly pressed down by anyone before; he raised his head, looked at Chen Yu in disbelief, and then let out an angry roar.

He forcibly pulled his hands out of Chen Yu's control and then delivered a fierce punch toward Chen Yu.

Thud—dust flew into the air; his heavy punch struck the spot where Chen Yu had just been standing, but it did not hit Chen Yu.

Seeing that the opponent's eyeballs were already slightly reddened, it was clear he was in a manic state; he was about to transform.

"Look, Undying Jon is going to transform, he's going to transform!" A wave of excited and eager voices erupted at the scene.

They had spent so much money, throwing away thousands, just to see this moment of transformation.

Unexpectedly, Chen Yu's expression changed; he suddenly extended his right hand, formed several Dao Formulas, and then, with his right hand circling or pointing, finally pointed heavily toward the front.

A piece of Divine Script suddenly appeared, shrouding Jon; as Chen Yu's hands moved faster and faster, character after character surged onto Jon's body, and immediately after, Chen Yu brought his hands together, and a radiance bound his body.

A trace of confusion first appeared on Jon's face, then the confusion turned into terror; he suddenly discovered that his power was bound by these golden Talismans, and it seemed as if some irresistible Demon power was completely draining his strength.

He roared crazily, struggling desperately, attempting to shake off the Talismans brought by Chen Yu, but his power was bound within his body, and no matter what, he could not move.

Finally, he let out a helpless, wild roar, then fell to the ground with a thud; he struggled a few times, then lay motionless.

Jinsang looked at the scene before him in shock; only then did he realize that Chen Yu was truly an existence he could not comprehend.

"Have everyone leave; that's enough for today. Do as I say, immediately," Chen Yu turned his head and ordered sternly.

Jinsang instinctively wanted to retort—this was his turf, after all—but seeing Chen Yu's serious expression, he swallowed the words he was about to say and then began having the waiters clear the venue.

After the clearing, with a *clack*, the metal door was shut heavily.

"What's going on?" Jinsang gathered around with his trusted subordinates, because he too had seen that Jon was not right.

"The look in his eyes is wrong; look at his eyes." Chen Yu flipped open Jon's eyelids, only to see a trace of gold within his eyes.

"The eyes aren't right. He is a Werewolf, the pure-blooded kind; there is only wildness in his eyes, it's impossible for them to have this golden color. These things represent... the Pope." Jinsang's expression immediately turned ugly.

In the Western World, the existence they least wanted to provoke was the Pope, because those guys were the ones who held the power of life and death.

Especially things like himself, half-man and half-wolf, would be regarded as heretics by the Pope; they would be sentenced to hanging.

"When did you provoke the Pope?" Chen Yu asked.

"Why would I provoke them for no reason? I avoid them as much as I can; those guys are simply like bedbugs." Jinsang revealed a look of anger.

"Then your good buddy, the situation in his pupils was clearly purified by the Pope using some method. Now, a seed has been planted in his thoughts and consciousness; as long as they wish, they can control Jon, this human camera, to stir up trouble at any time."

Chen Yu said, "When that time comes, everything about you will be exposed; this is a rather serious problem."

"Jon, you and the Pope have never had any contact; I know this. There is only one possibility for this to happen: you have been targeted by the Pope." Eve sighed. "Vampire Bar, this name is too eye-catching."

"These dogs really can't tolerate a single grain of sand in their eyes." It took Jinsang a long time to recover; he sneered, "I run my bar, legal and compliant; I'd actually like to see what exactly they want to do."

"They perhaps feel that there are a large number of Dark Creatures in your bar, which is something they do not allow," Chen Yu thought for a moment and said. "The Pope and Dark Creatures are inherently incompatible."

"Vampire Bar, this in itself touched upon their beliefs, so it's normal for them to investigate you."

"Isn't their reach a bit too long?" Jinsang snorted, his mood still somewhat unhappy.

He had merely opened a bar and chosen such a name, and he was already being targeted? Weren't those guys being a bit too overbearing?

"Of course, this is just my guess; perhaps they have a deeper meaning, but what exactly that meaning is, I don't know." Chen Yu shook his head.

"How did you see that something was wrong?" Jinsang looked at Chen Yu; although Chen Yu hadn't fought Jon in his transformed state just now, he could stop Jon's transformation with a casual gesture—whether they fought or not no longer had any meaning.

Because he was hearing about a situation where a Werewolf's transformation could be stopped for the first time; Chen Yu's strength was unfathomable.

"The state of the transformation was wrong; it seemed there was a force driving him to transform, and this force was not his own," Chen Yu said. "The Pope's people are controlling him."

"Bastards, I must get to the bottom of this matter." Jinsang struck the bar counter heavily with his fist.

"You'd better seek self-preservation first; since the Pope wants to monitor you, it means you've already been targeted," Chen Yu said. "Good luck to you. Eve, let's go."

"Mm." Eve nodded; it was time to go back, otherwise, Father would be worried.
