Chapter 248: Dragon Breath, Tianyuan Pavilion
Su Yan extended her right hand, and a gun was already pointed at his forehead: "Stop the car."
The driver in front slammed on the brakes to stop the car, then abandoned it and fled in a panic.
"Who are you?" He Wei stared fixedly at Su Yan.
"Get out of the car." Su Yan pressed the gun against He Wei's head, and he had no choice but to slowly get out.
"The sixth division under Dragon Breath, Tianyuan Pavilion, Su Yan." Su Yan stepped back a few paces and tossed down a pair of handcuffs: "Cuff yourself."
"So it's Dragon Breath, heh, I, He Wei, really have a lot of face; even the reclusive Dragon Breath has sent someone out." He Wei sneered: "It's no injustice to be caught by Dragon Breath."
Dragon Breath recruits talented people from all over the world; the previous Five Elements Pavilion and the current Tianyuan Pavilion are both branches of it, the difference being that the people inside Tianyuan Pavilion are all elite-level talents who have been cultivated.
He Wei believed that by changing his identity after returning to Huaxia, he could remain undetected, but what he did not know was that he had been targeted the very first day he returned to the country.
"He Wei, you have committed all kinds of evil; wait for your judgment. I will hand you over to Interpol," Su Yan said coldly.
"You won't be able to take him away." A figure flashed, and Chen Yu had already caught up.
"Chen Yu, I don't care what personal grudges you have with him; today I must take him away." Su Yan's gun pressed against He Wei's back.
"Sorry, he must die here today," Chen Yu said indifferently.
"He is someone Tianyuan Pavilion wants to take away; I advise you not to bring trouble upon yourself," Su Yan said with a cold expression.
"His life is mine to take; no one can keep him." Chen Yu smiled. Suddenly, his figure flashed, turning into an afterimage as he swept past He Wei's side, his right hand grabbing out and striking his forehead with a claw.
He Wei fell to his knees on the ground with a thud. His eyes were bloodshot and red, and as he knelt there, his body trembled incessantly. A moment later, blood flowed from his seven orifices, and he collapsed to the ground, motionless.
"Chen Yu, you bastard!" Su Yan was furious. Chen Yu had killed He Wei, which meant her mission had failed. She lunged at Chen Yu with a grappling move.
Chen Yu countered by grabbing her hands, twisting them slightly, and pinning them behind her back, bringing her under control.
"Let me go! I must take him back today!" Su Yan said angrily.
"Take a good look." Chen Yu kicked away He Wei's hand. It could be seen that the hand he had been holding against his chest was already clutching a grenade. If Chen Yu had been even a second later, He Wei would surely have detonated it.
"He Wei is an international fugitive. You know better than I do how ruthless his methods are. If he were taken back, he would only face death. He would rather die with you than be captured." Chen Yu released Su Yan and pushed her to the side.
"Chen Yu, he must go back with me. Our Tianyuan Pavilion missions have never failed," Su Yan said angrily.
"Your boss wants He Wei?" Chen Yu looked up and asked.
"That's right, they specifically named He Wei," Su Yan said coldly.
"They didn't say whether they wanted him alive or dead. Bringing back the corpse is the same thing." Chen Yu grinned and turned to leave.
Suddenly, Su Yan behind him leaped up, her right arm circling around to lock Chen Yu's neck. This woman's strength was formidable; even Chen Yu, a Martial Arts Expert, was nearly choked into suffocation when caught off guard.
Chen Yu could not help but be enraged. He braced his arms and bumped her, shaking Su Yan back several steps.
"A word of warning: if you come again, don't blame me for being impolite." Chen Yu's expression darkened slightly.
He had consumed too much Original Power just now, and his True Qi was somewhat depleted. To catch He Wei, he had even used Talisman Water, barely managing to hold on until now. He needed to go back and recuperate.
"You think you can just leave after killing someone Tianyuan Pavilion wants? I'm afraid it won't be that easy." Su Yan glanced coldly at Chen Yu, extended her right hand, and a telescopic baton appeared in it.
"If you want to play, I'll accompany you another day. I really don't have time today." Chen Yu shook his head: "A word of warning: if you come again, I won't be polite."
Unfortunately, Su Yan was not the type to give up easily. Her figure flashed, and the baton in her hand struck toward Chen Yu. Chen Yu stepped back and snatched the baton from her hand with a backhand motion.
Having lost her weapon, Su Yan flipped her right hand and struck at Chen Yu's shoulder with a palm blade.
Chen Yu struck back with a palm. With a bang, Su Yan retreated several steps. Chen Yu grabbed with his right hand, and Li Chen appeared. He flicked his right hand, and a Sword Light flashed by.
After the strike, Chen Yu retracted Li Chen: "If you dare to move again, I really won't be polite to you."
Su Yan said nothing. Her right hand moved, about to strike, but she suddenly felt a chill on her chest as cold wind blew in.
She was startled and looked down. Chen Yu's sword strike had torn her clothes, and now the snow-white skin of her chest was exposed. She screamed and hurriedly covered her chest.
But immediately after, she felt a chill on her legs; her uniform skirt had also fallen away, exposing her up to her thighs.
Chen Yu couldn't help but take a few extra looks. Hmm, this woman's skin was quite fair.
"Chen Yu, you bastard! You—you did that on purpose!" Su Yan was both ashamed and furious. She covered her exposed areas and shouted angrily.
"That's right, I did it on purpose." Chen Yu smiled slightly, stopped entangling with her, and turned to leave quickly.
"Chen Yu, I'm not finished with you!" Su Yan roared, screaming at Chen Yu's retreating back.
After Chen Yu returned, he fell straight to sleep. When he woke up, it was already noon the next day.
The power consumed was too vast, and using the Taiyin Destiny Method to boost his strength had overdrawn too much of his Primordial Qi. Moreover, this method went against the laws of nature, so from then on, his fate became even more uncertain.
He Wei had fallen and Weiye Group was under investigation, but Jiuyin was still missing. That old thing had also been severely injured in his Primordial Qi after being stabbed by Chen Yu and would not come out to stir up trouble for a short time, but one still had to be on guard.
At Xinglinju, Yinyin had fully recovered. Zhao Anran had braided her hair into two little pigtails, making her look very cute.
Chen Lu had been cremated and buried. Zhao Anran stubbornly told Yinyin that her sister had gone to a very far place and would be back after a long time, so she did not let Yinyin go to the funeral. The trauma in the little girl's heart would likely take a long time to heal.
"Daddy, Daddy Chen Yu!" Seeing Chen Yu, Yinyin happily rushed over. She had accepted Zhao Anran as her mother and Chen Yu as her father.
"Good girl, Yinyin." Chen Yu smiled and picked her up: "Is your heart still feeling tight? Is anything uncomfortable?"
"No, Daddy, I'm very well now. Thank you." Yinyin hugged Chen Yu's neck: "Mommy Anran wants to take me out to play. Can you come with us?"
"Of course I can. Where to?" Chen Yu looked at Zhao Anran.
"Places children like, of course, an amusement park. If you have time, come along; if not, never mind." Zhao Anran smiled: "I've contacted a nearby kindergarten for her, and she will transfer over soon."
"Good. Once school starts, there won't be so much free time. Your godfather will spend the day playing with you today." Chen Yu nodded.
At the largest Century Amusement Park in Fengling, Yinyin was having a great time. Riding the carousel and sitting on the Ferris wheel—after all, she was a child, and Yinyin's innocent side was revealed. She ran around the amusement park tirelessly, very happy.
Zhao Anran had long since grown tired. She and Chen Yu sat to one side, watching Yinyin run happily.
"Is it tiring to take care of a child?" Chen Yu smiled.
"It is tiring, but it's worth it. Yinyin's background is too pitiful. If I can let her live a carefree life, I think it's worth being tired," Zhao Anran said softly.
"It's just... hard on you." Chen Yu sighed.
"It's not hard. This is our child together," Zhao Anran smiled slightly, her words carrying a deeper meaning.
"She is also my daughter; I will treat her well." Chen Yu smiled.
Suddenly, a burst of barking came from the side. Judging by the sound, it seemed to be a large dog, and at the same time, a cry rang out—the cry was exactly Yinyin's voice.
