Chapter 281: You Should Resign
As soon as this message was sent, the group chat exploded.
"General Manager Wang is going to resign?"
"Is the new boss mentally disabled?"
"If General Manager Wang resigns, I'm not working here either. I'm leaving right now."
It was currently working hours, and a large portion of the people put down their work and surged out.
Once these people started making a scene, the company would immediately fall into paralysis; Wang Zhong was an old Deep-fried Dough Stick, and since he was able to stay after the company was acquired, it showed that this guy was quite calculating.
Originally, he was using this method to force Chen Yu's hand, demanding twenty percent of the shares to become a shareholder so he could completely checkmate Chen Yu in the future; since the facade was torn away, he simply moved his plan forward.
"None of you are working anymore? Are you sure?" Chen Yu glanced at these people.
Among these people were supervisors and managers, and a vast majority were in important work positions; if they really left, the company would immediately fall into paralysis.
"We're sure. General Manager Wang has worked here for over ten years; you forced him to resign the moment you arrived. This is slaughtering the donkey after the millstone is put away."
"That's right, there's no future following a boss like you. We're not working here anymore; we're going to start a business with General Manager Wang."
These dozens of people were filled with righteous indignation, as if Chen Yu were some kind of wicked capitalist.
"Chen Yu, this has nothing to do with me; everyone is unwilling to work for you anymore." Wang Zhong chuckled and said, "Why be like this? You spent several hundred million to buy the company, and now it's going to go bankrupt in the blink of an eye."
"How about this: if you agree to my conditions, how about I help you soothe everyone's emotions?"
"No need." Chen Yu smiled slightly and said, "You all want to resign, are you sure?"
"Sure."
"Very well, go to the conference room. Those who want to resign, submit your resignation applications immediately. I will approve them right now, and you can settle your wages and leave today." Chen Yu smiled.
"Chen Yu, are you crazy?" Wang Zhong was taken aback.
"I'm not crazy. You all want to resign, so I'm fulfilling your wishes." Chen Yu said with a smile, "General Lin, you should come over and take a look too."
"Alright." Lin Yunzhu nodded and followed Chen Yu over.
"General Manager Wang, is he playing for real?" a manager asked.
"He's just bluffing. I don't believe he really dares to let all of us resign. Even if we follow the normal process, he won't be able to recruit enough suitable people to replace us within a month. Let's go and see what kind of tricks he wants to play." Wang Zhong sneered.
"General Chen, do you really want to agree to everyone's resignation?" Lin Yunzhu asked on the way, puzzled.
"Wang Zhong is an old-timer at the company. The fact that he could stay after I acquired Chaoxing Group is enough to show his ambition. Now, nearly half of the company's staff are his cronies. If this person isn't removed, the future troubles will be endless." Chen Yu said.
"But if that's the case, the company will inevitably be paralyzed. They can resign, but if they follow the normal process, I have confidence in finding people to replace them after a month." Lin Yunzhu said.
"I believe in your ability, but I have my own plan. Since these people are stirring up trouble with Wang Zhong, they certainly cannot stay. However, I don't buy into their tactics." Chen Yu smiled slightly.
Lin Yunzhu was puzzled. Seeing Chen Yu's confident appearance, he should have a plan, but she didn't quite understand what plan Chen Yu had. She had no choice but to follow Chen Yu to the conference room first.
A large group of people also followed into the conference room. Wang Zhong said with a smile, "General Chen, are you really sure you want all of us to leave?"
"Since you don't want to stay, then leave." Chen Yu pointed to the side and said, "The resignation forms are here; those who want to leave, fill them out immediately."
Everyone was dumbfounded. They originally thought that the law wouldn't punish the masses and that with so many of them stirring up trouble, Chen Yu would definitely back down, but they didn't expect Chen Yu to be playing for real.
These people's gazes all turned toward Wang Zhong; after all, they were all stirring up trouble following Wang Zhong.
"Sign, of course we'll sign. I'll submit my resignation application first." Wang Zhong sneered.
"I'm resigning too." A manager stepped forward.
"And me."
Several members of management began to take the lead. Once they took the lead, the vast majority of people behind them no longer hesitated and stepped forward one after another to collect the resignation forms.
"Have you arrived?" Chen Yu collected the resignation forms, picked up his phone, and made a call.
"I've arrived." The door opened, and Ning Ruoxue walked in.
"It's up to you now." Chen Yu smiled slightly.
"Let me introduce myself. I am from Beijing Law Firm. Starting from today, I am taking over all legal affairs for Chaoxing Group." Ning Ruoxue smiled. "My name is Ning Ruoxue."
"Our company still has a three-year Contract with Jinyue Law Firm. When did it become your turn to speak?" Wang Zhong was furious.
"The person in charge of Jinyue is your nephew, right? You took huge kickbacks from the legal Contract signed with Jinyue." Ning Ruoxue said with a faint smile, "And just now, I, representing Chaoxing Group, terminated the Contract with Jinyue."
"What qualification do you have to represent Chaoxing Group? And what qualification do you have to terminate the Contract? Chen Yu, if you unilaterally terminate the Contract, you will have to pay a sky-high breach of Contract penalty." Wang Zhong was enraged.
"First of all, you are no longer the Vice General Manager of Chaoxing Group; you have already resigned. Secondly, ask your nephew if he dares to demand a breach of Contract penalty." Chen Yu sneered.
"I haven't resigned yet; I am still the Vice General Manager." Wang Zhong shouted.
"Sorry, you've been fired." Chen Yu smiled slightly.
"Just you wait, Chen Yu. I'm going to make a call right now." Wang Zhong was furious to the extreme; he picked up his phone and started making a call.
"Uncle." The other party answered.
"I'm asking you, why was the Contract between Chaoxing and you terminated? The Contract states that if there is a breach, there must be a compensation of at least fifty million in breach of Contract penalties. Are you not coming to collect this money?" Wang Zhong yelled.
"Uncle, you don't understand the situation. The other party is Ning Ruoxue from Beijing Law Firm. She is notoriously difficult in the industry. If we go to court with her, we will definitely lose." The other party said in a low voice.
"So we aren't asking for this breach of Contract penalty. Besides, our Contract itself has problems; these were loopholes left intentionally. If this is really investigated, not only me, but even you will have joint liability."
Wang Zhong's expression changed drastically. Indeed, he was the one who represented the signing of the Contract with his nephew, and it was completely biased toward his nephew's side. If responsibility were truly pursued, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to stay out of it.
After hanging up the phone, Wang Zhong's expression was no longer as arrogant as it had been just a moment ago.
"In addition, Wang Zhong, as well as the two general managers and five high-level executives behind you, have used your positions and company loopholes to embezzle company property for several years, and the amount is huge. I have already submitted an investigation application to the court."
Ning Ruoxue took out several more documents, on which were written the names of Wang Zhong and the other seven members of management.
"Everyone, find your names and take a look at how much you've embezzled before." Ning Ruoxue smiled.
"Slander, you are slandering us." Wang Zhong was enraged. He grabbed the file with his name on it and scanned it a few times, and cold sweat began to stream down his forehead.
The things shown in the data were not groundless; they were real. Which day how much money was spent in violation of regulations from the company was written clearly.
The other members of management also had their expressions change drastically. If this stuff were really investigated, they were afraid they would have to go to prison—starting at three years and capping at ten.
