Chapter 294: What Kind of Garbage Are You?
The fat man kicked Zhou Hu to the side; Zhou Hu, having suffered a setback, could only offer an awkward, apologetic smile.
"I'm announcing this now: either pay the sixty-thousand tea fee, or move two hundred thousand in stock. Otherwise, close the shop and get the hell out," the fat man barked.
"Do you people have any regard for the law? We are a legitimate business. So what if I don't buy stock from you?" Li Hao was furious; these people were being far too overbearing.
"The law? Did no one tell you? Our Hu Ge is the law. Men, smash his shop for me," the fat man said with a wave of his hand.
"Yes, Qiang Ge." Several men behind the fat man grabbed their tools and prepared to enter the shop.
Chen Yu, who had been sitting in the shop the entire time, suddenly flashed forward. Bang, bang, bang—accompanied by several screams, those thugs were sent flying back out of the shop.
With a flicker of his figure, Chen Yu stepped outside.
"Who are you? Are you trying to meddle in other people's business?" Seeing his underlings all knocked down, the fat man was uncontrollably enraged.
"First, my friend's business here is legal. Second, you've disturbed my meal," Chen Yu said indifferently. "I don't care who this Hu Ge behind you is; tell him not to overreach, or I'll chop his hands off. Now, get lost immediately."
"Chen Yu, don't go looking for trouble; let me handle this." Zhou Hu was startled and hurriedly pulled at Chen Yu. "Hu Ge has a very powerful background; don't provoke him. I'm used to living on the streets anyway, it doesn't matter to me."
"It's fine. Some bullshit Hu Ge—I've never taken him seriously," Chen Yu laughed.
"Kid, do you know what you're saying? Are you tired of living?" The fat man was furious. "This whole area is managed by Hu Ge. You don't know who Hu Ge is? With a flick of his finger, you'd be dead without a burial ground."
"Then I'd like to see it. Have him come over. I want to see who in Fengling can make me die without a burial ground with just a flick of their finger," Chen Yu laughed.
"Then you just wait," the fat man said, gritting his teeth as he took out his phone to call for backup.
"Finished calling your people?" Chen Yu watched him put his phone away.
"That's right, kid, just you wait. I'll see how you die in a moment," the fat man raged.
"Then we should settle our accounts," Chen Yu said, pointing at Zhou Hu. "This is a brother of mine from my dormitory. You slapped him twice just now; it's only fair if I return the favor, right?"
"Him? Your brother?" The fat man sneered. "In my eyes, he's just trash. I did hit him, but now I'll let him hit me back—you ask him if he dares."
"Chen Yu, what are you doing? Hurry up and leave. If Wang Hu comes, no one will be able to escape," Zhou Hu was shocked. Had Chen Yu gone crazy?
"It's alright, Zhou Hu. I know you like to brag, but your heart really isn't bad," Chen Yu said with a smile. "However he hit you, you hit him back. It's fine, I'll take responsibility for whatever happens."
"Zhou Hu, in my eyes, you aren't even worth a fart. Heh, I'm standing right here—go ahead and hit me back," the fat man sneered.
"Huang Qiang, don't go too far," Zhou Hu said angrily. "Don't think that just because you're Hu Ge's confidant, you can look down on everyone."
"I really don't have you in my eyes. I am Hu Ge's confidant. When Hu Ge comes over in a moment, he'll finish you off too. You and your two pieces-of-trash friends can just wait to die," the fat man said spitefully.
"You're asking for death, Huang Qiang," Zhou Hu said furiously.
Suddenly, with a crash, a wine bottle shattered on the fat man's head. Chen Yu dropped the broken bottle in his hand and grabbed another one.
"Ah..." The fat man touched his head, which was covered in blood. He shrieked, "Zhou Hu, just wait to die. Hu Ge won't let you off. Tell your family to come collect your corpse."
"Chen Yu, why are you so impulsive? Quick, Haozi, close the shop door and let's run," Zhou Hu was shocked. "This is Wang Hu's confidant; this guy is the type to hold a grudge."
"If we run, what will you do?" Chen Yu asked.
"I'm fine, I'm used to living on the streets anyway," Zhou Hu said urgently. "You guys hurry and go. Wang Hu is not someone to be trifled with. Since Du Feng stepped down, he's the most powerful one around."
"Haha, what a small matter. Don't worry, if something happens, I'll shoulder it with you," Chen Yu laughed heartily, not caring at all.
"Shoulder it? Let's see how many lives you have to withstand Qiang Ge's fury," the fat man said, gritting his teeth.
Crash—another wine bottle exploded on his head. The fat man's vision went black, and he nearly collapsed to the ground.
"Did I tell you to speak?" Chen Yu glanced at the fat man.
The fat man clutched his blood-covered head, his face full of resentment, but he didn't dare utter a single word of nonsense.
Suddenly, several Mercedes-Benz cars drove over, and a large, dark crowd surrounded them. As the lead car stopped, a man stepped out.
This guy was wearing a crisp suit, but there was a massive scar on his head, making him look rather sinister. He was none other than Wang Hu, the one who had sought him out during his previous conflict with Yu Lingxuan.
Chen Yu was stunned. After Du Feng was gone, there were plenty of people in Fengling who wanted to rise to the top, including many up-and-comers. But this was the first time he had heard of this Wang Hu, yet he never expected that he had actually already crossed paths with him.
"Hu Ge, you finally came. This little shop refuses to follow the rules; not only did they haggle, they even found people to fight. And this Zhou Hu, even though he's one of our own, he's in cahoots with these people," the fat man scrambled up excitedly, forgetting the pain in his head.
"Hu Ge, I'm the one who caused this. Whatever the issue is, come at me, just let my brother go." Zhou Hu's expression changed slightly as he braced himself and stepped forward.
Wang Hu glanced at Zhou Hu coldly. "I'll settle your account in a moment. Qiangzi, who hit your head?"
"It was that kid who hit me," the fat man said, pointing at Chen Yu.
Wang Hu let out a cold snort, snatched a machete from one of his underlings, and stepped forward aggressively, looking as if he intended to hack Chen Yu to death on the spot.
He had just risen to power and was at the height of his glory. Now, he wanted to hack someone in public to establish his authority and let everyone know that he, Wang Hu, was not to be trifled with.
However, when he walked up to Chen Yu, he couldn't help but pause slightly. The arrogant aura on his body vanished without a trace in that instant.
"Ch-Chen Yu." Wang Hu's voice was even trembling.
"That's right, it's me. Hu Ge, such great majesty. I was wondering who it was. Since Du Feng died, no one has been this arrogant," Chen Yu sneered.
"Chen Yu, what do you want to do?" The hand Wang Hu used to hold the knife was shaking. He was desperately trying to think of a way to find a graceful exit.
After all, he had just risen to power, his bragging had been deafening, and he was always surrounded by underlings wherever he went. But he never dreamed he would run into Chen Yu.
