Chapter 316: Upholding Justice for Heaven

"I know, but Yu Sichun has committed countless evils. I have already investigated; within five years, seven innocent girls have died at her hands, six have been left permanently disabled, and nine have had their reputations ruined."

"She has hurt countless people for her own selfish desires, and furthermore, she kidnapped my wife and threatened to kill all my friends and family. Therefore, my killing her today is not only because of personal grievances, but also because her actions have reached a point that incites the wrath of both gods and men."

Chen Yu said loudly: "If she does not die, the dead cannot rest in peace, and the injured will forever suffer injustice. Thus, the daughter of the Yu Clan, Yu Sichun, must be executed."

"Today, I shall bring her to justice with Zhengyang Talisman Fire to uphold the Heavenly Dao."

As Chen Yu spoke, he kept one hand behind his back and pointed the other diagonally toward the sky. A Spiritual Light coiled around his fingertip, then transformed into a streak of light that shot into the sky.

Inside the ambulance, Yu Sichun's limbs were crippled, and she fainted several times from the pain.

After a few pain-relief injections, her condition improved slightly. She stared at Yu Lingxuan with wide, bloodshot eyes: "Mom, kill Chen Yu. You must kill Chen Yu for me."

"Don't worry, Chunchun. Your uncle is already on his way back with the Dark Guard. He has even contacted the Martial Ancestor expert Mu Chengcang. He is a grandmaster-level expert who can manipulate Qi to harm others; falling flowers and leaves can both serve as blades to kill."

"Even if our Yu Family has to go bankrupt, we will hire this grandmaster to act. Taking down a mere Chen Yu will be effortless. Don't worry, you are my heart and soul."

"I have already contacted the best doctors in the world for you. They are already on a plane and rushing over. They will definitely cure you."

Yu Lingxuan spoke with a sobbing tone. She had become pregnant out of wedlock and had not remarried for decades. She used ruthless methods to defeat her eldest brother and took on the heavy responsibility of helming the Yu Clan, all to provide her daughter with a better life.

She also viewed her daughter as her own life, even more important than her own. Now, seeing her injured like this, Yu Lingxuan was in agony.

"And his friends and family, not one can be let go. Cut open his wife's belly, take out his child, and smash it to death right before his eyes. Mom, you must promise me," Yu Lingxuan hissed.

"Okay, okay, don't worry. Mom will definitely do everything you said. Now you must rest well. When you recover, I will hand the Yu Clan over to you," Yu Lingxuan wept.

"Mom, I want to be the empress of the world," Yu Sichun murmured.

"I promise you..." Yu Lingxuan nodded. She would fulfill every request of her precious daughter.

Suddenly, a Seal lit up on Yu Sichun's body, and immediately, a ball of fire erupted with a boom.

Yu Sichun screamed in agony as she was swallowed by the ball of fire.

"What is happening? Someone come! Quickly, someone come!" Yu Lingxuan's eyes were bloodshot; she did not know what was going on.

A group of bodyguards rushed over and sprayed fire extinguishers at Yu Sichun, but the Zhengyang Talisman Fire could melt gold and break iron; once ignited, water could not extinguish it.

Fortunately, Yu Sichun had a Dharma Artifact on her, a gift from an expert. The necklace at her throat flashed slightly, a green glow swept over, and the fire on her body was extinguished.

Her entire body was severely burned, and she was hanging on by a single breath. Yu Sichun struggled a few times, using her last bit of strength to spit out a sentence: "Mom... please... send me on my way..."

It was impossible for Yu Sichun to recover like this. Rather than letting her live like this, neither human nor ghost, it would be better to end it quickly and send her on her way.

"Sichun..." Yu Lingxuan's vision went black, and she fainted on the ground.

In a private hospital, inside a luxurious ward, Ye Xinyu lay on the bed. She had been in a coma for over two days. Chen Yu had exhausted all methods to stabilize the fetus in her womb.

"Brother-in-law, how is my sister exactly?" Ye Qian now seemed to be Ye Xinyu's only relative, and she asked Chen Yu anxiously.

"I am thinking of a way," Chen Yu said, his brows locked.

"Aren't you a Divine Doctor? You can even bring the dead back to life, why can't you save my sister?" Ye Qian was almost crying.

"She has been struck by the Two Evils Curse. Only one of her or the child can be saved," Chen Yu closed his eyes, feeling somewhat powerless.

The viciousness of the Two Evils Curse lay in the fact that only one of the mother or the child could be saved. Within half a month, the Underworld Yin Official would come to claim a soul, and one of them would inevitably be taken.

Although the child was not yet born, the seven-month-old fetus had already taken form and counted as a person. Chen Yu truly did not know what to do after half a month.

"Think of a way," Ye Qian cried. "If my sister finds out the child cannot be saved, she won't be able to take it."

Chen Yu locked his brows. Ye Xinyu was seven and a half months pregnant. If he induced labor now, the child could be saved. As for the Yin Official in fifteen days, he could only try to fight it head-on.

"Notify the obstetrics department to prepare for a cesarean section," Chen Yu turned his head and said.

"Brother-in-law, it hasn't even been eight months for my sister. If the child is born now, will there be any problems?" Ye Qian was startled.

"This is the only way for now. With me here, she and the child will be fine. But the five days after the child is born will be a Life-and-Death Tribulation. On that day, even if I have to risk my life, I will protect the safety of the mother and daughter," Chen Yu said in a deep voice.

"Husband," Ye Xinyu on the bed suddenly woke up.

"I'm here," Chen Yu stepped forward and held her hand.

"If there is really no other way, save the child," Ye Xinyu struggled to say these words.

"What silly things are you saying? You and the child will both be fine, I promise," Chen Yu said.

"If a choice must be made, then you must save the child," Ye Xinyu's face was covered in tears. "Promise me."

"I promise you," Chen Yu gripped her hand tightly. "Xinyu, listen to me. Our child is coming into this world early. You need to prepare to be a mother."

"I am already prepared," Ye Xinyu's tears fell; she did not know if this was joy or sorrow.

"Mr. Chen, as Ms. Ye's attending physician, I must remind you that the child in Ms. Ye's womb is not full-term. A cesarean section now is highly likely to cause serious problems, and there is a certain probability that it will lead to the infant's death."

A female doctor walked over, holding a stack of critical condition notices for Chen Yu to sign.

"Moreover, looking at Ms. Ye's condition, her and the child's survival status is good, so I don't understand why you would choose to have the child born at this time?"

"Since I am doing this, I must have my reasons. I will wait in the operating room, and I will do my utmost to ensure the safety of the mother and daughter," Chen Yu said. "You just need to do what you are supposed to do."

"You want to be in the operating room?" The female doctor was stunned. "This does not comply with regulations."

"My word is the regulation," Chen Yu said in a deep voice. "Just do as I say."

"Dr. Li, the dean has notified us that everything is to be based on Mr. Chen's decision. He will take responsibility for any problems that arise," just then, a nurse ran over and whispered.

"The dean really said that?" The female doctor was stunned. She shook her head speechlessly and said, "Crazy, everyone is crazy."

Soon, in the operating room, Chen Yu changed into sterile surgical scrubs. He held Ye Xinyu's hand and said softly, "Don't worry, you'll be fine when you wake up from your sleep."
