"I'm just meeting up with some friends," Chen Yu said.

"Hmph, waiting for your trashy friends again? My sister is truly blind; she's pregnant and you're still out here messing around," Ye Qian sneered.

"And what about you? What are you doing here?" Chen Yu frowned.

"I'm here to have fun with friends," Ye Qian said dismissively. "Chen Yu, do you even know how much one night costs in a high-end place like this? You probably can't even afford a single bottle of wine here."

"How much it costs isn't the problem. The problem is, don't you have any self-awareness about why you're here?" Chen Yu sneered. "You and your boyfriend are already at the stage of discussing marriage, right?"

"If he knew you were dressed like this and hanging out in a place like this, what would he think?"

"Chen Yu, don't talk nonsense." Ye Qian's expression changed instantly. Fang Chen was a golden son-in-law, and they were truly discussing marriage; he was drawn to her because she came from a scholarly Aristocratic Family and was a good girl.

A few of the young hoodlum girls stepped forward and pinned Ye Qian down. Ye Qian struggled and screamed, "What are you doing? Let me go!"

"Slap..." Another blow landed on Ye Qian's face. Every time she screamed, Shi Wei slapped her.

After a few slaps, Ye Qian finally caved. She looked at Shi Wei fearfully and cried, "Shi Wei, I really didn't take your ring. I'll stay far away from Wang Xuan from now on. Please let me go, it's my fault."

"Know you're wrong now?" Shi Wei leaned down and grabbed her hair. "Too bad, it's too late. Today, either compensate me for my hundreds-of-thousands-worth ring, or I'll scar that face of yours so you can see how you'll seduce people in the future."

Suddenly, a figure flashed. Two gusts of wind whipped past Ye Qian. The two women holding her felt pain and let go. Her hand tightened as a pair of powerful hands grabbed her, pulled her up, and blocked in front of her.

It was Chen Yu who had intervened. After all, she was his sister-in-law; no matter how much she had mocked him in the past, he couldn't bear to watch her face get scarred.

"If you have something to say, say it. Don't threaten people, or you might not be able to bear the consequences," Chen Yu said indifferently.

"Threaten you? That's me thinking highly of you. Try talking nonsense one more time," Shi Wei said in a rage, stepping forward and raising her hand to slap Chen Yu.

Chen Yu grabbed her wrist with his right hand.
