Chapter 73: You Misunderstood
"Control yourself." Chen Yu was startled, hurriedly rolling over and tapping a point on her body to seal her acupoints.
"Chen Yu... Chen Yu, hold me." Song Mengyan kept murmuring, her eyes unfocused and blazing with fire; that gaze seemed almost ready to swallow Chen Yu whole.
Song Mengyan had a fine figure, and her clothes were torn to shreds, revealing everything that should and shouldn't be seen; combined with those unfocused eyes, it was likely that no man could withstand it.
Chen Yu felt his mouth go dry, constantly warning himself that he was a married man and must remain calm; trembling, he took out his needles and began acupuncture.
"Chen Yu, are you even a man?" Song Mengyan's gaze was fiery. "If you are, come over and hold me."
"Don't think of me as a man," Chen Yu said helplessly, continuing the acupuncture.
Ten minutes later, Song Mengyan was drenched as if she had been fished out of water, but fortunately, her emotions gradually stabilized.
Chen Yu removed the last Silver Needle from her body, and she finally regained her freedom.
"Are you alright now?" Chen Yu handed her a glass of water.
"I... I'm fine, thank you." Thinking of how she had just looked, Song Mengyan was so ashamed she wished she could find a hole to crawl into.
"Well, let me take you home first. From now on, there won't be a competitor like Three Emperors. With the two companies merged, the overall strength will be greater, and I believe it won't be long before you reclaim a portion of the market for traditional Chinese medicine."
"I will dilute the shares held by everyone. You fought for Three Emperors, so you will hold fifty percent of the shares from now on, making you a major shareholder on equal footing with me." Song Mengyan steadied herself.
"We'll see, let's go home first," Chen Yu said, his eyes unable to stop glancing at her body.
Song Mengyan looked down and her face turned bright red instantly; her white shirt was already thin, and now that she was sweating, it was no different from wearing nothing at all.
After taking Song Mengyan home, she rushed straight into the bathroom.
Chen Yu was just about to leave when the door suddenly opened and Song Siyu returned from outside.
"Ah..." Seeing Chen Yu, Song Siyu let out a cry, thinking a bad person had broken into the house.
"Don't scream, it's me." Chen Yu was startled; he feared the neighbors had all heard her shout.
"Chen Yu, why is it you?" Song Siyu finally saw his appearance clearly. "Why are you at my house? What are you doing here?"
"What is it, Siyu?" Hearing the cry, Song Mengyan hurriedly wrapped herself in a bath towel and ran out.
Song Siyu was shocked; looking at Song Mengyan wrapped in a bath towel with a flush still on her face, she understood instantly.
"Auntie, you... you actually..." Song Siyu looked at the two of them in shock, not knowing what to say.
"Siyu, you've misunderstood. It's not what you think. Nothing happened between us, we were just..." Song Mengyan hurriedly explained, but she felt that the more she described it, the worse it looked.
"Auntie, you don't need to explain, I understand. You're an adult too. I'll go out, I won't disturb you." Song Siyu hurriedly turned and ran out, closing the door behind her.
"This..." Song Mengyan and Chen Yu were both dumbfounded.
"I'm sorry, I've caused you trouble," Song Mengyan said awkwardly.
"It's fine, I'll just explain it later. I'm leaving now," Chen Yu said, unable to laugh or cry.
"Why are you so fast, Uncle-in-law? I was already planning to go to a classmate's house." Chen Yu went downstairs and saw Song Siyu on the phone; she was stunned when she saw Chen Yu.
"What do you mean 'so fast'? Who are you looking down on?" Chen Yu was angry. "Nothing happened between us, don't overthink it."
"Don't deny it, Uncle-in-law. I saw it with my own eyes, could I have been wrong?" Song Siyu giggled.
"What did you call me? I'm telling you not to call me that." Chen Yu was at a loss; now it was truly impossible to explain.
"Forget it, we're all adults, why be so secretive? Is my aunt not pretty enough?" Song Siyu rolled her eyes at Chen Yu.
"What would a child like you know?" Chen Yu was speechless.
"Who's a child?" Song Siyu puffed out her chest.
"Hurry home, don't run around at night," Chen Yu said, unable to laugh or cry. "I have to go back."
"Hey, if I'd known, I wouldn't have come back. Walk slowly, Uncle-in-law." Song Siyu waved at Chen Yu and walked up.
Checking the time, it was not yet ten o'clock. Chen Yu was just planning to head back when Ye Xinyu called: "Hubby, I accidentally broke someone's item at the mall, and they want me to pay three hundred thousand..."
"Which mall?" Chen Yu was furious. "What kind of bullshit item costs three hundred thousand?"
"Century Department Store, at the Emerald counter. I didn't mean to," Ye Xinyu said urgently.
"Don't be afraid, I'll be there to handle it immediately. Don't worry, it'll be fine." Chen Yu hung up the phone and hurried toward the mall.
"What kind of crappy mall is this? You didn't even hand this bracelet to my sister, and besides, what kind of crappy bracelet is worth three hundred thousand? This is extortion." In front of an Emerald counter, Ye Qian shouted at the top of her lungs.
"You damaged the bracelet, you must pay the price. If you can't come up with it, don't even think about leaving today," a sales clerk sneered. "If you don't have money, why go shopping? Look at what kind of place this is; if you can't afford it, don't come in."
"What kind of attitude is that? Call your manager out," Ye Qian said furiously.
"That's enough, Qianqian, stop arguing." Ye Xinyu stopped her sister. "I'm really sorry, but I truly didn't receive the bracelet just now. My husband is coming over immediately. Let's call the police and check the surveillance now; if it's my fault, I will definitely pay."
"Who gave you the right to check the surveillance? Our mall's surveillance isn't something you can just check whenever you want. Next time you go shopping, go to a roadside stall. Every item in our shop starts at one hundred thousand; if you break it, you can't afford to pay," the sales clerk said with disdain.
"Are you being reasonable?" Ye Qian's temper was not that good.
"Today, I'm not being reasonable. Want to see the surveillance? No way," the sales clerk sneered.
"Fine, then I'm calling the police now." Ye Xinyu took out her phone to call the police.
"Calling the police? Who gave you the right?" Suddenly, a male sales clerk stepped forward, snatched the phone from Ye Xinyu, smashed it on the ground with a 'crack', and then stepped on it heavily.
"What are you doing? Why did you smash my sister's phone?" Ye Qian said angrily.
"So what if I smashed your phone? Three hundred thousand, pay up, not a cent less, otherwise don't even think about leaving today," the male sales clerk sneered. "Go ask around, do you know what our boss does?"
"I'd like to know what your boss does." Chen Yu walked in, a trace of anger flashing in his eyes.
This shop was clearly running a scam.
"Hubby, I didn't mean to, she didn't hand it to me at all." Seeing Chen Yu arrive, Ye Xinyu finally let out a sigh of relief; with Chen Yu here, she had a backbone.
"Wife, sit on the side and wait, I'll handle this matter." Chen Yu helped Ye Xinyu sit to one side.
"Yo, you brought a helper, huh?" The female sales clerk sneered. "Even if the King of Heaven came today, you still have to pay for the Jade."
"I'll pay. Three hundred thousand, right? Swipe the card." Chen Yu tossed out a bank card. "The password is six 6s, go swipe it."
"That's more like it." The female sales clerk swiped the bank card on the POS machine, and 600,000 was deducted from Chen Yu's account.
"Wasn't it three hundred thousand? Why did you deduct six hundred?" Chen Yu asked, squinting his eyes.
