Chapter 598
In a void of space.
The ring-shaped ship headed rapidly toward its destination.
And in another massive ship.
Gamora sat on the ground with her knees hugged, lost in thought.
A sound came from behind.
Gamora stood up and looked over.
It was Thanos walking over with a bowl of food.
Thanos handed the bowl to Gamora.
"I think you must be hungry."
Gamora took the bowl and looked at Thanos.
She smashed it hard onto Thanos's throne.
With a clatter.
It sounded very empty and harsh on the ship.
Gamora stared at that chair:
"I've found this chair very unpleasant for a long time."
All around were black mountain rocks.
Thanos said flatly, "You've always said that."
"Even so."
"I still hope you will succeed me and sit there."
Gamora shook her head, "I hate this room."
"This ship."
"I hate my life!"
The more Gamora spoke, the more excited her emotions became.
Finally, she stared at Thanos with a face full of anger.
Thanos maintained his indifference.
"This isn't the first time you've told me this."
Thanos sat slowly on the steps.
"Every day is like this."
"You've been saying it for twenty years."
Gamora stood at the edge of the corridor.
Looking at the void below.
"I was just a child when you abducted me."
Thanos sat on the steps and said, "It was I who saved you."
Gamora turned back, "No."
"We were very happy on our original planet."
Thanos asked back, "Is happiness being hungry and having no clothes to wear?"
"Your planet was on the verge of collapse."
"And I prevented the tragedy from happening."
"Do you know what happened there later?"
Thanos looked at the sky.
"After the children were born."
"They had plenty of food and clothing, and grew up under a clear sky."
"It was just like heaven there."
Gamora had hatred in her eyes.
"Because you slaughtered half of the life on the planet."
Thanos shook his head, not feeling that his behavior was wrong at all.
"That was just a small price for salvation."
Gamora said speechlessly, "You're crazy."
Thanos smiled, "Little one, this principle is too simple."
"The universe is not infinite, and resources are not infinite."
"If life is not restrained, one day life will cease to exist."
"It needs someone to correct it."
Gamora shouted angrily, "You don't understand at all."
Thanos was helpless.
His expression was firm and unwavering.
"I am the only one who understands this principle."
"At least I am the only one willing to take action for it."
Gamora didn't accept his statement.
Thanos stood up and said, "Once upon a time."
"You also had the same willingness."
"That's why you fought side by side with me."
"Daughter."
Gamora lowered her head, looking at the floor, and said flatly, "I am not your daughter."
"My self-loathing is all because of what you taught me."
Thanos said flatly, "Because of me, you were able to become a fierce female warrior in the universe."
"That's why I believed you could find the Soul Stone."
Gamora looked up at him, "Sorry, I let you down."
Thanos said flatly, "I am indeed very disappointed."
"But not because you didn't find it."
Thanos touched Gamora's hair.
He bent down and leaned into Gamora's ear.
"But because you found it."
"And yet you lied to me."
When the conversation between Thanos and Gamora sounded.
The audience in the live broadcast room was stunned.
The bullet comments were jumping wildly.
"Why do I suddenly feel that what Thanos said makes sense!"
"Wow, yeah, resources are not infinite, if used without restraint, it will definitely lead to collapse."
"For the sake of the universe, killing half of the life, it seems there's nothing wrong with that?"
"Thanos actually loves his daughter quite a bit, right."
"Thanos feels like he's actually a good father, he's also doing it for the universe."
"I admire Thanos a bit."
"Thanos actually wanted Gamora to succeed him!"
"I feel Thanos might not be wrong, it's just a different stance."
"Is this... considered creating better conditions for future generations?"
"Am I the only one who thinks what Thanos said makes sense?"
"???? I'm laughing, are there so many idiots upstairs? Since when is a crooked theory a principle?"
"Thanos's theory isn't wrong, resources are indeed not infinite, but the method is wrong!"
"Yeah, what right does he have to do that?! They are all lives, what right does he have to decide others' life and death?"
"Lying to ghosts! Just protect the planet properly, why must you kill people? What's the point, when there are more people later, do you have to kill another round?"
