Chapter 673

~5 min read 828 words

"Good job, Parker. Here is a gold coin as a reward."

The two of them chatted as they walked toward the classroom.

Ned said, "I'll build the Death Star structure first."

"The other parts will be easy to handle."

"Because the base is the hardest to build."

"For the top part, we'll at most..."

Parker stopped in his tracks.

He watched a female classmate walk by directly in front of him.

His expression hid a sense of admiration.

He didn't even hear what Ned was saying anymore.

He revealed a foolish smile and said, "That would be great."

Parker didn't put much heart into his classes all day.

In math class, he watched a video of himself intercepting a speeding car with his bare hands.

In chemistry class, he tinkered with all sorts of messy things.

He didn't even show up when it was time to prepare for the debate tournament.

Parker's world.

Suddenly changed before the eyes of the viewers in the live broadcast room.

It seemed to lack the stinging pain of the war and smoke from just a moment ago.

But it was precisely this kind of calm, including the pure emotional outpouring of a big boy like Parker.

That made it even harder for many people to accept his death.

In the cafeteria.

Parker rested his chin on his hand.

He watched the young girl hanging a banner on the wall.

He stared blankly and didn't even eat his own food.

He asked Ned, "Is that top Liz is wearing new?"

Ned said, "No, she's worn it before."

"But that skirt is one she hasn't worn."

Parker watched Liz and continued, "We can't keep staring at her like this."

"Otherwise, it's too creepy."

"Too late."

A classmate nearby had been watching the two of them the whole time.

"You two are just losers!"

Ned smiled faintly, "Then why are you sitting with us?"

The female classmate, Jones, said bluntly, "Because I don't have any friends."

Ned and Parker exchanged a glance.

Neither of them spoke again.

Parker ran to ask the teacher for leave.

He didn't want to miss his mission because of participating in the debate tournament.

His classmates all started mocking him.

"You've never even met Mr. Stark, have you?"

"Haha, and I'm going on a date with Black Widow."

"The national tournament is coming up soon; can't you take a break from your leave?"

Jones sat in the corner and said, "He's already been kicked out of the military and robotics lab."

Suddenly, the other classmates all looked over.

Jones said calmly, "I'm not obsessed with him; I'm just good at observing."

Parker said, "I can't go."

"If Mr. Stark needs me, I must arrive at the first moment."

In the end, they had no choice but to let someone else replace Parker.

After an anxious and difficult wait.

The bell finally rang for the end of class.

Parker was the first to rush out of the school gate.

Like a little bird set free.

Parker's life and personality were gradually exposed to everyone's view.

"Wow, Parker's execution is super strong!"

"Was Tony like this when he was a kid? Though he was much richer than Parker."

"Uh, Tony's parents probably weren't home much when he was a kid, right?"

"I get it! Tony must have been thinking about his own childhood, which is why this part was presented."

"That's indeed possible, but Parker is really innocent."

"These snippets of Parker's life make me recall my own school days."

"Yeah, it was really great when we were young."

The Director looked out the window.

That giant Light Giant still stood between heaven and earth.

And even when Parker's clips were captured.

It became even firmer.

He shook his head.

He sighed inwardly.

The footage continued to play.

After school.

Parker leaped.

The school gate wasn't even open.

He jumped right over it.

He rushed toward the small supermarket on the street corner.

Parker greeted the owner familiarly, "Hello, Mr. Delmar."

The owner leaned on the counter and said, "Hi, Mr. Parker."

Parker took two packs of candy.

The owner said, "You want the No. 5 combo, right?"

Parker pointed to the shelf behind and said, "That's right, and pickles too."

"Can you flatten the pickles? Thanks."

Parker clapped his hands together to mimic the flattening motion.

The clerk walked over from the back to help Parker get his things.

The owner smiled and teased, "How is your aunt?"

Parker was stunned, pursed his lips, and said, "She's doing well."

The owner exclaimed, "She is a very sexy Italian woman."

As he spoke, the owner also wore a strange expression on his face.

Parker crossed his arms.

He replied directly, "How is your daughter?"

The owner's face darkened.

His attitude took a sharp turn: "Ten dollars."

Parker pointed to the price tag and said, "That's clearly five dollars."

The owner glared at Parker and said, "That's for your smart mouth, ten dollars."
