Chapter 299

【Achilles took a step back, pulled out the arrow on his body, and laughed: "Hahaha, isn't this very good? Archer of the Black side, fighting you who can kill me is also fate."】

【"Oh gods of Olympus, grant glory and honor to this battle. If there is a chance to decide the winner, let me see your appearance next time."】

【Subsequently, Achilles summoned his chariot and retreated.】

【Looking at Achilles' retreating back, Chiron sighed: "It's really ironic, Achilles; fate sometimes even bares its fangs at us who are dead."】

【This pair of master and apprentice reunited rarely, but it was a situation of mutual hostility; it's really sigh-worthy.】

【Fiore: "Are you okay, Chiron?"】

【Chiron: "Hmm, it seems that in this Holy Grail War, my opponent has also been determined."】

【Achilles: "Hahaha, a duel with Chiron-sensei, I am looking forward to it."】

【Chiron: "Yes, I also want to see your growth."】

【Achilles: "No problem, I won't show mercy when the time comes."】

【Chiron: "Me neither."】

【Not long after the Red side retreated, Astolfo pulled the homunculus and ran out of the castle.】

【On the way, they met some mages who were being treated for injuries; because they saw it was Astolfo, they didn't pay much attention.】

【Before leaving the city, Astolfo specially gave his sword to the homunculus for self-defense.】

【However, he didn't know that his behavior had already been discovered by Avicebron's golem bird.】

【In the room, Gordes was complaining to Siegfried, when suddenly a notification sounded in the castle.】

【Avicebron: "Masters of Yggdmillennia, pay attention; Rider has taken a homunculus and escaped. That homunculus is an important material; you must capture him alive."】

【Soon Gordes received the order and could only take Siegfried to chase Astolfo with dissatisfaction.】

【Celenike: "What are you doing, Rider? You actually caused such a big commotion!"】

【Astolfo: "What is it? Shouldn't this be Caster making a mountain out of a molehill? It's just wanting to let a homunculus go."】

【Avicebron: "Sorry, this homunculus is a special case; it's beneficial to my research."】

【Waver: "You Black side are really lively tonight."】

【Darnic: "I've let everyone see a joke."】

【Astolfo took the homunculus and fled into the forest, but the opponent's body was too poor, and he was panting after running for a while.】

【Homunculus: "Can I, really escape?"】

【Astolfo: "Of course you can."】

【"But, even if I do nothing, I will still die in three years."】

【Homunculus said confusedly: "I can neither contribute to the world nor leave a trace; what is the meaning of me living like this?"】

【Astolfo: "Do you think it's not allowed for you to live?"】

【Homunculus: "... I don't know."】

【"There is no obligation that must be done."】

【Astolfo said loudly: "Everything is done because one wants to do it; wanting to live is the correct roar of humanity."】

【Homunculus: "Live on..."】

【Just at this moment, a batch of golems emerged from the ground and surrounded them.】

【"Ah, you are really popular."】

【Astolfo took out his lance and prepared to meet the enemy.】

【Waver: "Living, I didn't expect you to be able to say such philosophical words."】

【Astolfo: "Hmph, I am very smart."】

【On the other side, because of the previous Red-Black battle, Jeanne also came here to investigate.】

【She also discovered something wrong with the Red side; not a single Master appeared on the battlefield.】

【Just at this moment, she sensed that the Black side suddenly had internal strife, so she rushed over out of curiosity.】

【And on Astolfo's side, he had just finished solving all the golems, and Siegfried's group had already caught up.】

【"Found you; actually wanting me to do such miscellaneous work."】

【Gordes was very dissatisfied with the task of capturing the homunculus, thinking it was a waste of talent.】

【"You run quickly!"】

【Astolfo immediately blocked in front and let the homunculus run first.】

【Gordes: "Saber, suppress Rider!"】

【Siegfried directly stepped forward to fight with Astolfo; the homunculus turned and ran immediately upon seeing this scene, and Gordes chased after him quickly.】

【But the homunculus's body was really too poor; he fell to the ground after running a few steps and was caught up by Gordes.】

【"I really don't understand; why is Caster so concerned about such a defective product that can't even walk well?"】
