Chapter 596: Did He Harass You?
Olympus.
Sunlight filtered through the clouds, spilling onto the palace's colonnades, and golden shadows slowly flowed across the white jade floor.
Heracles lay on a broad stone chair, one leg draped over the armrest, the other stretched casually, his eyes half‑closed, as if asleep yet pondering something.
His wife He Bai sat nearby, chatting with Li Ya.
The youthful goddess's voice was gentle, like a mountain stream, and Li Ya's laughter was crisp.
They talked about recent happenings on Olympus— which god had acquired a new pet, which banquet had produced a joke, which hero‑level figure had emerged in the mortal realm, causing a great stir.
Heracles listened, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly, but he did not open his eyes.
Suddenly, his brow twitched.
It was a subtle feeling, like a stone dropped into a calm lake, ripples spreading outward.
A sense of familiarity.
He snapped his eyes open.
"Yu Lin's here,"
"Perfect, Olympus is bored to death,"
Li Ya's words abruptly stopped.
She turned her head, looked at Heracles, and her eyes lit up instantly: "Really?"
"Brother's here?"
"Yes." Heracles had already risen from the chair, turned his neck, and his joints emitted a faint crack.
He grinned at Li Ya: "Want to go down and play?"
Li Ya stood, moving as fast as a gust of wind.
"Let's go!"
He Bai watched the two, shaking her head helplessly.
She hadn't had time to say anything, and Heracles was already pulling Li Ya with long strides out of the palace.
He could only Transmission to Li Ya:
"Watch your uncle closely, don't let him mess around in the mortal realm..........."
Today's sky was crisp blue, as if someone had brushed it repeatedly with the purest paint.
Yu Lin rode A Li Ya, strolling leisurely along the path.
A Li Ya moved at an even pace, hooves striking the gravel, producing a crisp clatter.
Ning Ya followed beside them, phone raised in hand, continuously filming the distant mountains and sea.
"Is this your first time here?"
"No, I've been here before, just on a mission."
"What mission?"
"To wrest a relic—a half lion's tooth—left by a Valkyrie said to be named Li Ya, from a certain organization."
".........."
"Hey, what's with that expression?"
"Cough, nothing."
Yu Lin cleared his throat, his gaze falling on the street ahead..................
His thoughts drifting, two figures descended from the sky.
It wasn't a light, ethereal landing, but one accompanied by wind and force, like two stones smashing into the ground!
Ning Ya startled, instinctively stepping back, nearly dropping her phone.
Yu Lin didn't move.
He looked at the two before him—a hulking man as massive as a mountain, and a spirited young woman.
The man wore a simple short robe, his exposed arms bulging with muscle, marked by faint scars.
The woman wore hunting attire, her long hair tied in a ponytail, eyes bright and sharp.
"Brother!" Li Ya exclaimed first, her voice brimming with excitement, "When did you arrive?"
Yu Lin gave a slight smile: "Just arrived."
He glanced at Li Ya, then at Heracles, "You both came quickly."
Heracles burst into laughter, walked over, and slapped Yu Lin's shoulder.
That force, on another person, might have knocked them flat.
Yu Lin remained perfectly still, merely giving him a glance.
"Easy."
"Got used to it, got used to it," Heracles withdrew his hand, his gaze landing on Ning Ya beside him:
"Who is this?"
"Ning Ya," Yu Lin introduced simply, "my friend, previously handling affairs in Northern Europe, and I thought I'd bring her along."
Ning Ya had already recovered from the earlier shock.
She looked at the two before her—a man as massive as a mountain, a woman radiating vigor—and a vague suspicion formed in her mind, though she dared not confirm it.
"This is Heracles."
Yu Lin pointed at the hulking man, "This is Li Ya."
Ning Ya's mind went blank for a second.
Heracles? That Heracles? The Mighty? The Heracles who completed the twelve impossible tasks?
Li Ya? Could it be that she just............
She opened her mouth, closed it, opened it again, and finally squeezed out: "Hello."
Heracles grinned at her, showing a mouthful of white teeth.
"Hello, friends of Yu Lin are our friends."
Li Ya also walked over, gave Ning Ya a once‑over, her eyes showing a bit of curiosity: "Are you a cultivator too?"
Ning Ya nodded: "Mm."
"So when did you and Brother meet? Brother doesn't seem to like mature types."
Yu Lin: "........... Hey hey, what are you saying?"
"Heracles, I've told you not to corrupt Li Ya!"
"Huh? Another thing about me?"
"Otherwise? Who else could it be but you?"
"Um, uh, you, that... never mind, you say it is, so it is."
Seeing them getting along, Ning Ya chuckled and didn't join the conversation.
She felt the amount of information she'd taken in today was already over the limit.
At that moment, Heracles' gaze fell on the cow behind Yu Lin.
A Li Ya was lowering her head to eat grass, indifferent to everything around her.
Heracles glanced at it, then at Yu Lin, his eyes full of curiosity.
"Where did this cow come from?"
Yu Lin casually said: "Just bought it, no particular background."
Heracles looked at the cow again, feeling something was off but couldn't put his finger on it.
He thought about it, then didn't ask further.
…
The group walked on.
A bay lay quietly at the foot of the mountain, the sea water blue as melted gemstones.
"How is this place?"
Heracles said proudly, "This is the best scenery in all of Greece, known to only a few."
Yu Lin looked at the sea and nodded: "Not bad."
Ning Ya had already taken out her phone and started taking photos.
Li Ya came over, pointing at the distant small islands, telling her which one was said to have been lived in by a certain god, and which one had ancient temple ruins hidden beneath it.
The two chattered away and quickly became friendly.
Heracles and Yu Lin walked behind. He watched the two women up front chatting animatedly, and suddenly smiled.
"Yu Lin."
"Hmm?"
"You didn't come to Greece just to play, did you?"
Yu Lin shrugged: "I'm just here to play,"
"All right." Heracles didn't press further.
They walked along the shore for a stretch, found a flat reef, and sat down.
Li Ya took out some snacks from the bag she carried: dried fruit, cheese, bread, and a small jar of honey.
Heracles somehow produced two roasted lamb legs, wrapped in leaves, still steaming.
"You carry roasted lamb legs on you?" Ning Ya couldn't help asking.
Heracles grinned:
"I'm used to it; I might get hungry at any time."
"If it weren't for seeing that Yu Lin doesn't want to cook, I'd have brought two raw ones."
Several people ate while chatting.
Most of the talk was about Olympus.
Ning Ya listened, feeling it was like hearing mythological tales, yet the people in those stories had just shaken hands with her.
She couldn't help stealing a glance at Yu Lin.
Yu Lin was leaning against a rock, holding a piece of cheese, listening to Heracles speak, occasionally nodding.
"What are you thinking about?" Li Ya leaned in.
Ning Ya came back to herself, smiled: "I was thinking, could I bring friends next time?"
"Can I go to Olympus to play in the future?"
Li Ya nodded: "Of course! The more, the merrier."
Heracles shouted from over there: "Next time you come, I'll have them prepare a whole roasted sheep!"
"As said, friends of Yu Lin are our friends!"
"All right, thanks!" Ning Ya's eyes lit up at once.
"Olympus!"
"If we go check it out, coming back............. not bad, not bad."
"It'll definitely be fun!"
"But thinking about this, she asked again:"
"I've heard Zeus is a lecherous guy; is that true?"
"Has he harassed you?"
Heracles: "............."
Li Ya: "..........."
"Why aren't you speaking? Hey, Yu Lin, has he harassed you?"
Yu Lin: ".............."
