Chapter 658: Don't You Think It's Too Lonely?

~5 min read 918 words

"Eros, did you see it?"

Yu Lin raised his hand and pointed toward Kaos.

The Light Cluster high above, woven from countless great laws, remained in its original spot, unmoved and unchanged.

It floated in the void, shining alone.

Eros's gaze followed Yu Lin's finger, and the amber eyes reflected that Chaos light.

"Seen," Eros said.

His voice was still that light, that gentle.

"Don't you think something's missing?" Yu Lin asked.

Eros tilted his head, stared at the Light Cluster for a long time, his brows slightly furrowed as if pondering a complex question.

"What's missing?"

Yu Lin grinned and said:

"It's alone, far too solitary."

"Don't you find this frightening? Lacking companionship."

"Do you want to stay forever alone?"

"Then perhaps you could act, see if you can split out a few more?"

Eros fell silent.

His gaze withdrew from the Light Cluster, landed somewhere in the void, withdrew again, and settled at his own feet.

"Alone, then..." his lips moved slightly, as if muttering to himself, or negotiating with something. His Divinity source fluttered gently behind him, beating in time with his heart, thump by thump.

He pondered for a long while, long enough that Yu Lin thought he had fallen asleep.

"Fine," Eros lifted his head, looking at Yu Lin:

"Let me see."

He walked forward, barefoot on the void, each step sending a fine ripple outward from his soles.

His Divinity source trailed behind him.

Until he reached the source of Kaos and halted.

The Chaos light hovered above his head, towering far higher and larger than him.

Eros looked up at it, then raised both hands, and his Divinity source drifted from behind to before him, hovering over his palms.

The primal force of love and desire surged from the source, slowly and continuously drifting toward Kaos's source, coating its surface, seeping into its fissures, melting into its radiance.

Kaos's source had never fluctuated.

It had existed before eternity, shining from the void, neither increasing nor decreasing, unchanging and immobile.

But now, it moved!

The Chaos light began to tremble slightly, ripples traveling from the surface inward, then back outward, oscillating within the glow.

Eros's love and desire force continued to seep in, layer by layer, until it reached the innermost layer of Divinity.

Until.

A thread of emotion emerged.

But it seemed unwilling to affect itself, or to partake in anything.

It split a narrow fissure from its center, the gap thin, yet light surged out, a thousandfold brighter than its body.

Obviously.

Kaos's source directly expelled a few laws, along with that strand of emotion.

The light burst in the void, turning into countless tiny light threads that flared outward in all directions!

Most of the threads extinguished during their flight, only two strands remained.

They flew out, then returned, spiraling around Kaos's source, spinning faster, brighter, larger.

They transformed from light threads into light pillars, then into Light Clusters.

Two clusters of law floated on Kaos's sides, one left, one right.

The left cluster was darker, a grayish haze.

Its aura was deep and dim, carrying a force that calmed.

When the light contracted, a humanoid emerged from the darkness.

It was a man, with a stern face, high brow bones, deep‑set eyes, thin lips pressed into a line.

His skin was ash‑white, his hair black.

He wore a dark robe, long enough to trail on the ground, merging with the surrounding darkness.

Or perhaps he was darkness itself.

Erebus, God of Darkness!

The right cluster was brighter, and when you looked past it, it resembled a starry night.

Its aura was gentle and tranquil, giving a comforting sense of being wrapped.

When the light contracted, a similar humanoid emerged from the white.

It was a woman, with a gentle beauty, curved brows and eyes, a faint smile at the corners of her mouth.

Her skin was fair, her hair deep‑blue, long hair draped over her shoulders down to her waist.

She wore a silver‑gray gown, its hem embroidered with stars that twinkled in the darkness.

Nyx, Goddess of Night!

Erebus and Nyx stood on Kaos's two sides, facing each other, yet simultaneously turned their heads toward Kaos.

Kaos's source had regained calm; the Chaos light remained there, shining alone, but now two clusters of law flanked it.

"Father?"

Erubosi's mouth twitched a bit.

Nikesi's eyes narrowed a bit.

But Chaos did not respond to them, after all they had already vomited out their feelings again.

The two gods, getting no response, could only give up.

They turned and looked at Eros standing not far away.

Eros retracted his hands, and the divinity origin floated back behind him.

He looked at Erubosi, then at Nikesi, then turned his head to look at Yu Lin.

"Is this okay?" Eros asked.

Yu Lin looked at that void, looked at the two gods, and nodded:

"Okay."

Then he spoke to the two gods again:

"Please start perfecting the world, generating daylight, light and such."

"I and he still have things to do; we'll meet later."

Having said that.

Without waiting for the two to ask anything.

Yu Lin also said to Eros:

"Come on, come on, there's still someone waiting for you."

"Who?"

"That one."

Yu Lin raised his hand, pointing at the Gaia source ahead:

"Let's go."

Eros nodded: "Okay."

Afterward.

Under the gaze of the two gods Erubosi and Nikesi.

Yu Lin led Eros toward Gaia.

Finally.

The Sky God Uranus, Sea God Pontus, and Mountain God Crius were born.
