Chapter 119
“Hah! Boss, this is amazing—after a month at sea, it was all worth it!”
The pirates’ eyes constantly wandered over the women’s breasts and buttocks, as if they wished their gazes could drill right in.
“Hah! Brothers, this will be our new base to rebuild the Skull Gang—I’ll lead you all back north!”
“Also, don’t rush, boys—eat your fill first. Once you’re full, these women are yours to do with as you please!”
“Yes, Boss!”
The pirates burst into laughter and began gorging on meat and gulping down liquor.
As time passed, the sky gradually darkened.
Having eaten and drunk their fill, the pirates could no longer resist turning on the women around them.
Instantly, screams erupted across the camp—women fled in all directions.
But the pirates made no move to stop them; instead, they deliberately turned it into a game of cat and mouse, for it was more thrilling that way.
“Boss, these two prettier women are reserved for you!” At that moment, a thoughtful subordinate pushed forward two women.
Though not particularly beautiful—after all, life on the island had been harsh—they were indeed younger than the others!
“Nick, are the coastal guards in place?”
“Relax, Boss—over ten men posted at every shore, and fifteen still on the ship!”
“Besides, this is a remote southern area—merchant ships rarely even come here!” Nick replied.
“Good!” The Skull Boss nodded and led the two terrified women toward a nearby stone hut.
But they didn’t know that a ship was now silently approaching the shore of Resurrection Island.
The darkness of night, combined with the ship docking at a steep cliff with a ten-meter drop, meant no one noticed them.
“Begin the operation!”
At Gervas’s command, eleven Magic Swift Hawks immediately flapped their wings and moved into action.
As with the previous raid on the Scorpion Nest, Gervas once again chose to use baskets to transport his men ashore.
Soon, over a hundred soldiers completed their silent landing.
Yet Alan did not launch an immediate attack—he instead stared at the distant pirate warship.
For besides using Magic Swift Hawks to land, Gervas had also assigned men to board the ship simultaneously.
After all, the warship was too vital—they had to seize it at all costs.
Under Gervas’s watch, the eleven Magic Swift Hawks shot toward the warship and hovered directly above its deck.
From the basket suspended more than two meters above the deck, eleven figures immediately leapt down.
Moments later, faint shouts and screams began to drift from the warship.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
At that moment, both the pirate ship and the watchtower on Resurrection Island rang out urgent alarm bells!
“Begin the operation! Follow me!”
Gervas wasted no more time—he gave the order and led Migen and the knights toward the tower.
Around the tower now stood five or six pirates, but all were staring fixedly out to sea.
Clearly drawn by the commotion on the ship.
Gervas made no hesitation—he pressed forward.
“Who’s there?”
As they drew near, the pirates finally noticed them.
“Your doom has arrived!”
Before the guards could react, Gervas and Migen and the others lunged at them with savage force.
Though fierce, the pirates quickly grabbed their weapons and fought back.
But against overwhelming strength, all resistance was futile.
With a few screams, five pirates collapsed into pools of blood.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
The pirates atop the six-meter watchtower, sensing the chaos below, hammered the bell harder and brandished short axes to guard the staircase entrance.
Swoosh!
A sharp whistle cut through the air—the bell fell silent as the bell-ringer, clutching his throat in disbelief, tumbled from the tower.
“Good.”
Gervas re-holstered his crossbow.
This crossbow had been completed this very morning.
Though it was the first one, its performance already met Gervas’s expectations—mass production could begin now.
Meanwhile, shouts had erupted from the village on Resurrection Island.
Gervas remained calm, waiting for word from the ship.
Soon, a Magic Swift Hawk flew from the direction of the ship toward the shore.
The hawk descended, and Lei Meng leapt from the basket below.
“My lord, all fifteen pirates aboard the warship have been eliminated—the ship is under our control!”
“Excellent. Then everyone—advance on the village!”
…
“What’s going on?”
“I… I don’t know, Boss—it’s the alarm bell from the shore!”
“Damn it! Everyone, assemble immediately!”
The Skull Boss was both shocked and furious.
He’d barely stepped into the room, his pants just off, when the alarm rang.
Of course, he no longer cared about pleasure—his priority was the shore.
Their warship was still out at sea.
Soon, all his men gathered, and the Skull Boss led them toward the shore.
After running a short distance, they suddenly saw over a hundred fully armed royal soldiers ahead.
“Royal soldiers? How… how is this possible!”
The Skull Boss and his pirates trembled in fear.
This was a remote island far from the coast—they’d never dreamed royal soldiers would appear here.
And these soldiers all wore brand-new leather armor—clearly elite troops, possibly even the royal army itself.
“Skull Gang, your crimes have caught up with you!”
“Y-You… who are you? Why are you here?!”
Hearing Gervas’s words, the Skull Boss grew even more bewildered—this man knew they were the Skull Gang pirates.
“Who are we? In the kingdom, who do you think we are?” Gervas sneered.
“Damn it—are you really the royal army? How did you know we were here?!”
The Skull Boss now truly believed Gervas’s group were elite royal troops; fear flickered in his eyes.
“Do you think your trail was hard to follow? I’ve been tracking you since you fled!”
“Skull Gang, surrender while you still can. If you surrender, I may spare your lives.”
The pirates turned uncertain glances toward their boss.
If this were an ordinary noble’s force, they might still resist.
But the royal army? That was the one force they feared most.
The Skull Boss would never surrender—he gritted his teeth: “Brothers, don’t believe them! The royal army will never spare us—better to fight to the death!”
The Skull Boss drew his longsword and charged forward, leading his pirates in a desperate assault.
Though hesitant, the pirates still followed their boss, preparing to make a last stand.
Gervas sneered, “Then don’t blame us—if you resist, kill them all!”
With that, the knights and soldiers moved.
“Kill!”
Amidst the battle cries, Lei Meng’s aura flared brightly as he surged forward, leading the charge toward the Skull Boss.
“A Silver Knight?!”
The Skull Boss, who had only just hoped to fight to the end, froze—he was a Bronze Peak Knight, and the overwhelming pressure from Lei Meng turned his face pale with terror.
“Die!”
Lei Meng paid him no mind—he closed the distance and slashed down with brutal force.
Clang! The Skull Boss was blasted backward seven or eight steps before stopping.
Lei Meng gave him no chance to recover—he stepped forward again before the Skull Boss could regain his balance, swinging his longsword in a horizontal slash.
