Chapter 424: The Orcs' Abnormal Actions!

"Father, I want you to hand over command of the family's eight thousand legion soldiers to me!"

"Adams, it is night now, and it is not even our turn, the Marquis Marquis Aosiding family..." At this, Hou Jue suddenly paused, as if he had thought of something.

"Adams, could it be..."

Adams nodded seriously. "Yes, Father, Lord Gervas... Lord Harry has contacted me again!"

Hou Jue's eyes lit up brightly, his face full of joy.

He quickly stepped forward. "Come, Adams, go to the conference tent with Father; let us talk slowly!"

The Grey Shiqiao incident not only greatly boosted the face of this eldest son, gaining the approval of Duke Hernand.

It also brought the family a battle record of over five hundred orc heads.

Although for a Hou Jue family, such a record was not particularly outstanding, so far, no other family could compare to the Marquis Marquis Aosiding Hou Jue family.

If, in the future, the Marquis Marquis Aosiding Hou Jue family could leverage Harry's information to achieve merit no less than that of the Grey Shiqiao again.

Then the Marquis Marquis Aosiding family's merit this time would be secure.

Soon, Adams was led by his father into the conference tent.

Immediately, he also informed his father of the information Gervas had revealed.

"What? There are elite orcs ambushing inside the city? How is this possible?"

Hou Jue almost jumped up from his recliner.

This was no joke; it concerned the life and death of their hundred thousand-strong army.

Especially since the Marquis Marquis Aosiding family's elites were all here; if they suffered losses this time, the family would be unable to recover its vitality for at least a decade.

"Father, the message Lord Harry gave me, I believe it is true!"

Hou Jue forcibly suppressed his excitement. "Then does he have any evidence?"

"Father, no, but the Grey Shiqiao incident really happened! So, I believe this time is also true!" Adams' expression was slightly uneasy.

After all, if his father did not believe him, then this matter would be difficult to handle.

And Hou Jue immediately fell into deep thought.

Time passed minute by minute; Adams felt that one minute at this moment was more agonizing than an hour on ordinary days.

"Father..."

Adams could not help but speak up.

If they dragged it on any longer, he did not know if they would miss the timing of the message Gervas gave him.

Hou Jue also came to his senses, his palm suddenly slapping the long table in front of him, his eyes firm. "Adams, Father will immediately hand over command of the eight thousand family soldiers to you!"

"Father, you believe it?" Adams was both surprised and delighted.

"Anyway, even if the message is false, there will be no loss; but what if the message is true? Then our Marquis Marquis Aosiding family will make a huge profit this time!"

Clearly, Hou Jue was not a rigid person.

"Adams, tell Father, what do you plan to do?"

Adams was both surprised and delighted. "Father, I think, since these orcs want to act as inside agents, then the ultimate target of the sneak attack must be the city gates!"

"Therefore, with these eight thousand men, I will secretly ambush near the city gate; when the orcs launch their attack, we will catch them off guard and thwart their conspiracy."

Hou Jue nodded in satisfaction; of course, he still had questions to ask. "Adams, the entire Winterhold, not counting the Winter Keep in the rear, has a total of three gates. We only have eight thousand men, so we can only guard one gate. Then how do you know which gate the orcs will ultimately attack?"

"Father, of course, we must keep a close watch on the movements of the orcs outside the city. If they want to sneak attack a certain city gate, they will definitely strengthen their assault on that gate beforehand to distract the orcs inside the city!"

Hou Jue was completely reassured, showing an expression of approval. "Good, Adams. Take this token and immediately go find Commander Daric to mobilize the family legion. Father will go now to request the Grand President."

"After all, without permission, we cannot easily mobilize the family legion!"

"Yes, Father!"

Immediately, the father and son Adams set into motion.

And with the shouts of battle occasionally coming from outside the city, the night grew darker and darker.

"Is it midnight yet?"

Inside the orc camp, the Orc King suddenly awoke from the soft bed he was leaning against.

"Your Majesty, it is already midnight!"

"Are the warriors all ready?"

"Your Majesty, all warriors are ready; we are only waiting for your command!"

"Then let us begin!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

Roar, roar, roar!

Kill!

Not long after, the roar of orcs suddenly erupted outside Winterhold.

With the roars, the intensity of the siege by the servant army, which had only been ten thousand strong after nightfall, suddenly increased; suddenly, thirty thousand servant army troops joined the battle.

Furthermore, later on, the kingdom's army discovered that among these additional servant army troops, there were even Behemoth orcs mixed in.

This change immediately alarmed the Grand President.

The Grand President, while mobilizing personnel to respond, also summoned two dukes to discuss this sudden change.

"These orcs, suddenly changing their attack rhythm; what do they want to do?"

"No matter what happens, we must respond seriously. Moreover, why do I feel that the orcs' actions this time are somewhat similar to our actions at Bokacheng?" Duke Hernand said with furrowed brows.

"Duke Hernand, do you mean there is a change inside the city? But the problem is, when we entered the city, we already conducted a carpet search and found absolutely no problems."

"To take it a step further, the tunnels in Bokacheng existed long before, and the orcs have occupied Winterhold for at most half a month. With their craftsmanship, it is impossible for them to dig tunnels!" Although the Grand President also had a feeling similar to Duke Hernand.

But he believed that the orcs were simply unable to accomplish the actions they performed at Bokacheng.

Duke Hernand nodded; indeed, orcs were not good at fine work and lacked craftsmen; wanting to dig tunnels in such a short time was completely unrealistic.

"By the way, just before, that fellow Marquis Marquis Aosiding came to find me again! I wonder if he discovered something!" At this moment, Adams suddenly remembered the matter from before falling asleep.

"Marquis Marquis Marquis Aosiding came to find you again? What did he want?"

"He said his eldest son wanted to train the night defense again. Given what happened last time, I simply agreed directly this time!"

If it were before, the President certainly would not have so casually permitted soldiers of the Marquis Marquis Aosiding family to roam around the city.

Last time, if not for Duke Hernandez vouching for him, Marquis Marquis Aosiding would not have received his permission.

But this time, with the Grey Shiqiao incident, the President directly allowed it.

After all, last time the Marquis Marquis Aosiding Legion went out for a stroll and helped the kingdom eliminate a squad of orcs that had launched a surprise attack.

Although orcs cannot possibly attack again this time, it can still serve as a good omen.

"It is quite possible. Last time the Marquis Marquis Aosiding family received relevant information, which is why they requested to leave the camp."

"Perhaps this time they have also received some information!" Duke Hernandez felt this was possible.

"Then let us immediately find Marquis Marquis Marquis Aosiding and ask him!"

The President delayed no longer and immediately ordered his subordinates to go find Marquis Marquis Marquis Aosiding.

It is just that they did not know that going to find him now was actually too late.

In the eastern, southern, and western districts of Winterhold, in several unremarkable courtyards, huge stone slabs were pushed open.

And beneath the stone slabs, green-skinned Behemoth orcs had been waiting for a long time.
