Chapter 99: Absurd Plant Growth Agent, Even Golden Trash Can't Compare to You

Boss, the situation is like this.

Hua Yao hurriedly nodded upon hearing his question and said, eager for credit: "The Purple Gold Bamboo seeds have sprouted. Following Miss Gulu Gulu Qi's orders, we focused on them; they're now about one meter tall, and after roughly another week we can divide and propagate them."

"Gulu Gulu Qi? Miss?"

Su Hao glanced at the Da Xiong Mao secretly tidying up the rattan chair—this damn thing even got dressed? Take it, next time we go out we must bring this dumb cargo along; if this continues, a perfectly fine demon king will fall! Right! I'm doing this for its own good!!!

"Cough cough, continue."

"The Spirit Fruit Water Honey Peach has also sprouted; it's growing well so far, and should mature and bear fruit in about one or two weeks!"

"The Blazing Flame Dragon Fruit's Supernatural Grade is higher; its seeds likely won't sprout until the day after tomorrow."

"We currently lack supernatural plants and water, so the plant growth agent we make isn't very effective; otherwise it could work faster."

"Moreover, our mental power limit is too low—we can only communicate with the plants a little each day, so the current plant growth speed is still too slow……"

At the end, Hua Yao's voice became barely audible, she lowered her little head, just like the other Flower Spirit Elves around her, not daring to look at Su Hao.

Su Hao: ……

"What? This still isn't considered fast? The Water Honey Peach and Purple Gold Bamboo are both First Rank Supernatural plants, yet they can fully mature in just one or two weeks."

"Even the Second Rank Supernatural Blazing Flame Dragon Fruit only needs three or four days for its seeds to sprout."

"With this growth speed, how can it not be called fast? One can only say the Flower Spirit Elves are unsurpassed in cultivation speed! Moreover, this result occurred without using supernatural plant growth agents and with insufficient mental communication frequency."

"If we had supernatural plant growth agents, the Flower Spirit Elves' mental power could be stronger and communication more frequent—perhaps the first batch of Purple Gold Bamboo would already have matured and completed division propagation……"

"This speed is already fast; if your mental power is lacking, you can go to the restroom more often—the special floral scent there can speed up mental recovery. Over time I'll figure out how to get you some supernatural items with better restorative effects."

"Really? Really? If that's the case, that would be great—we'd have more time to chat with the plants, boss, you're really good to us!"

Su Hao: ……

"Strange, why do I feel like I sold Hua Yao and them, yet these little guys are still counting money for me? ……"

"Right! It's an illusion, this must be an illusion!"

"This is just because these little guys like chatting with plants, so I'm satisfying their personal hobby."

"Exactly, that's it! I'm certainly not the kind of dog capitalist who squeezes employees' work hours!"

Su Hao nodded, taking advantage of the still early sky, he led the Da Xiong Mao and the group of Flower Spirit Elves into the forest to begin collecting the remaining rainwater.

"From now on, whether for the shelter's daily use or for Hua Yao and her three companions to produce supernatural growth agents, large amounts of fresh water will be needed."

"So we must take advantage of these two days before the extreme heat disaster arrives and quickly collect more fresh water to bring back."

Meanwhile.

"At the shelter's entrance, watching Su Hao and the others' departing backs, Xiao Anni pursed her little mouth, her expression somewhat displeased."

"Everyone has signed a contract with the big brother, except me……"

"Time flew by, and before we knew it, the sky had completely darkened."

"Through the efforts of several people, the two Storage Bags of the Flower Spirit Elf Clan and Su Hao's one Storage Bag were all filled with unmelted snow and the wastewater on the ground."

"Adding the snow collected by the Da Xiong Mao and the Flower Spirit Elves a few days earlier, after purifying all of it, we could nearly fill the emergency water reservoir."

"After returning to the shelter, Su Hao brought Hua Yao and the others to the kitchen and explained the function and usage of the water purification device."

"Boss, are you saying…… that if we just pour the recently collected snow and wastewater into this water purification device and wait for the water to flow out, it will become Supernatural Rank pseudo-holy water?!!!"

"Yes, although the water purification device doesn't consume much energy, purification also takes time; to fully purify all the rain and snow collected today, it's estimated to take one or two days."

Hua Yao: ……

Other Flower Spirit Elves: ……

"Boss, this isn't really about energy consumption or purification time, right?"

"These are just ordinary snow and wastewater, yet with only some energy and time they can be purified into Supernatural Rank pseudo-holy water capable of dispelling some curses!"

"Can this really still be called purification? It should be evolution instead!"

"They're both water purification devices, so why is the gap between them so large……"

Su Hao watched Hua Yao and these little guys widen their eyes, looking adorably dazed, and couldn't help but chuckle lightly as he rubbed Hua Yao's little head.

"As long as we fully purify all the collected rainwater, it will be enough for our daily use for several years, and we don't need to be sparing—first use the pseudo-holy water to make a batch of plant growth agent and see how it works."

"Having said that, Su Hao waved and called the Da Xiong Mao over."

"Take out two stalks of Purple Gold Bamboo."

"Roar! (Sure enough, I was still seen by Da Tui—is Da Tui trying to make me wear small shoes? No way, definitely not; what status does Da Tui have to bother with me like this……)"

"The Da Xiong Mao let out a low growl, glanced nervously at Su Hao, hesitated a moment, then with a pained expression took out three stalks of Purple Gold Bamboo."

"Roar! (I took an extra stalk of Purple Gold Bamboo; Da Tui probably won't quibble over this small matter……)"

"Su Hao looked at the Da Xiong Mao with a half-smile, said nothing, and simply pulled the three stalks of Purple Gold Bamboo from the reluctant Da Xiong Mao's body, placing them in Hua Yao's hands."

"We'll use these three stalks of Purple Gold Bamboo as the supernatural plant; now you refine a batch of plant growth agent and let me see the effect."

"Okay, boss."

Hua Yao nodded, took the three stalks of Purple Gold Bamboo from Su Hao, placed them on the cutting board, cut them into small sections, and put them into the pressure cooker on the gas stove.

Then she walked to the over‑80‑centimeter‑tall fresh‑water storage tank, tiptoed, lay on top of the tank, and scooped out a ladle of water.

In a one‑to‑one ratio, she poured the water into the pressure cooker.

Afterward she added some seasonings, finally covered the lid, turned on the gas stove, and simultaneously activated her racial talent—a green light wrapped around the pressure cooker, beginning the refinement of the plant growth agent.

Su Hao: ……

"Damn, is this really not cooking? And you're not making fertilizer for the plants? What's with these seasonings? Could it actually make the plants eat happier and grow better? Watching Hua Yao's series of actions, Su Hao's eyes twitched twice, a surge of countless complaints rose in his heart, but he didn't know where to start."

"Hua Yao obviously didn't notice Su Hao's expression change; at this moment she stared solemnly at the pressure cooker, seriously refining the plant growth agent."

"However, Hua Yao has not yet become a First Rank Supernatural being; with her current mental power, wanting to use First Rank supernatural materials to refine a plant growth agent is somewhat strained."

"Soon after, Hua Yao's face turned slightly pale from over‑expending mental power."

"Seeing this, Su Hao took out a bottle of mana potion and brought it to Hua Yao's lips."

If you drink this, you can restore your mental power.

Ah~~~~

Regarding Su Hao's words, Huayao had no doubt whatsoever; she slightly tilted her neck back and slightly opened her cherry lips.

……

No, I want you to drink it yourself! Why are you having the boss feed you? What do you mean by that? Aren't you afraid of being given trouble in the future? Su Hao shook his head and smiled, pressing the mouth of the magic potion bottle to Huayao's lips and pouring some in.

One bottle of magic potion is enough for an ordinary First Rank supernatural being to use several times; Huayao naturally wouldn't need that much.

Indeed, after drinking a sip of the magic potion, Huayao's complexion quickly returned to a healthy flush.

Furthermore, with the continued recovery from that sip of magic potion, Huayao no longer experienced any shortage of mental power.

With sufficient mental power, this batch of plant growth agent was completed not long after.

After opening the pot lid, the original water, purple-gold bamboo, and some seasonings had all disappeared; black pills the size of soybeans appeared at the bottom, about ten of them.

【Plant Growth Agent】

Supernatural Grade: First Rank

Effect: Dilute one First Rank Plant Growth Agent pellet in one ton of water, then irrigate the plants with it to accelerate plant growth.

If the plant's Supernatural Grade is First Rank or lower, irrigating with more than two liters of water per day can shorten its growth cycle by 1 to 10 days.

If the plant's Supernatural Grade is above First Rank, the effect of shortening the growth cycle is greatly reduced, depending specifically on the plant's Supernatural Grade and its species.

……

Holy shit?! This effect is too good, right?!

Looking at the content displayed on the appraisal result, Su Hao couldn't help but widen his eyes.

This is merely a First Rank Supernatural Plant Growth Agent, yet it can shorten the growth cycle of a First Rank Supernatural Plant by one to ten days. Moreover, the First Rank Plant Growth Agent is also effective on Second Rank Supernatural Plants, though the effect is not as good!

If what Huayao says is correct, the purple-gold bamboo will mature in about a week and complete its division propagation.

Then, if we have enough First Rank Plant Growth Agent, under good conditions it could mature in just one or two days?

This speed is too damn fast! But in my previous life, I never heard that the Flower Spirit Elf Clan's planting ability could be this monstrous……

But soon, Su Hao understood the reason.

For the Flower Spirit Elf Clan, obtaining supernatural plants is not that difficult, but obtaining supernatural fresh water is not so simple.

So, in my previous life, the plant growth agents that Huayao possibly produced were hardly ever First Rank Supernatural.

If First Rank Supernatural already has this effect, what about Second Rank and Third Tier?

Su Hao lightly tapped his fingers, merely wanting Huayao to refine Second Rank and Third Tier Supernatural Plant Growth Agents; first, she needs Second Rank and Third Tier materials.

Second, Huayao's own Supernatural Grade must be raised; otherwise, her little bit of mental power wouldn't be enough.

As for Second Rank and Third Tier water and plants, that's not a big problem; Su Hao already has some ideas.

But wanting to raise Huayao's Supernatural Grade is not that simple; we first need to find a suitable magic potion for her.

However, the First Rank Plant Growth Agent is currently sufficient for now; as long as we find a suitable magic potion for Huayao during this time, it won't delay the territory's development.

Afterward, Su Hao had Huayao take one First Rank Plant Growth Agent pellet and irrigate the purple-gold bamboo and other supernatural plants with it.

The next moment.

The purple-gold bamboo shot up more than two meters at a visible speed; if nothing unexpected happens, watering it again tomorrow will let it fully mature and complete its division propagation.

The growth rate of the Spirit Fruit Water Honey Peach also increased greatly; flower buds have appeared on the peach trees, and after at most one or two more waterings, they can mature and bear fruit.

Even the Second Rank Supernatural Blaze Fire Dragon Fruit has begun to sprout under the irrigation of the growth agent; if we can irrigate it daily with sufficient growth agent, its growth time can be at least halved.

Very good!

Su Hao nodded in satisfaction; with the Flower Spirit Elf Clan cooperating with the water purification device, his territory will from now on never lack supernatural plants.

If Su Hao can build a better greenhouse, and then raise Huayao and the others' Supernatural Grade, the efficiency of cultivating supernatural plants could be further improved! After gaining a sufficient understanding of the Flower Spirit Elf Clan's abilities, Su Hao took Huayao and the others back to the sanctuary.

……

With the Flower Spirit Elf Clan joining, the cooking duty naturally no longer falls to Su Hao the lord; however, the Flower Spirit Elf Clan's dietary habits differ somewhat from humans', resulting in tonight's meal being entirely vegetarian, without a single piece of meat……

Hmm... it would be best to find a few more cooks……

Su Hao picked up a fresh vegetable and nodded thoughtfully.

Big brother……

Just then, Xiao Anni at the side suddenly tugged at Su Hao's sleeve, puffed her little lips, and said somewhat sulkily:

"Big brother, Da Xiong Mao and Huayao sister have already signed contracts, but Anni hasn't; big brother, do you not like Anni?"

Hahaha! That's not the case!

Su Hao laughed loudly, gently pinched Xiao Anni's cheeks, and then, with a thought, sent her a contract invitation as well.

【Lord Su Hao has sent you a contract invitation; do you accept?】

Upon seeing this invitation, Xiao Anni's face instantly lit up with a brilliant smile, and she hurriedly nodded.

I agree, I agree!

【Human — Annie, has accepted your contract invitation and become a member of the sanctuary.】

Looking at the message that popped up before him, Su Hao, with a thought, opened Xiao Anni's personal information panel.

Speaking of which, Xiao Anni has been awakened for almost a week, and I still don't know what her talent is.

However, since Xiao Anni just awakened, she already has First Rank Supernatural mental power; presumably this talent won't be too bad.

【Annie】

Supernatural Grade: First Rank

Supernatural Sequence: No Affiliation: Su Hao

Talent: Plant Torrent

Skill: Blossom……

"Plant Fury? This name sounds like it's not the same type of talent as Huayao and the others'..."

Su Hao murmured softly, but just the two words "Rage" don't sound like something for cultivating plants.

Could it still be a combat-type talent?

"Just take a look and you'll know."

He stopped thinking further, and with a light tap of his finger, he opened the detailed interface of this talent.

【Plant Fury】

Proficiency: Entry-level effect: By consuming mental power, let the surrounding occurring plants undergo permanent mutation, strengthen the plants' combat ability, cause their form to change, give them simple self-awareness, and turn them into special plants controlled by Xiao Anni.

The higher the supernatural grade of the target plant, the more mental power required to cause its mutation.

"Making plants undergo permanent mutation and strengthening their combat ability—this really is a combat-type talent?!"

Su Hao blinked slightly; from the description of the Plant Fury talent's effects, it is indeed a combat-type talent.

I just don't know what kind of changes Xiao Anni will cause in the plants after mutation, and what combat power they can exert.

Even if the mutated plants have only half the combat power of their peers, this talent of Xiao Anni's is still absurdly strong.

Because, in the description of the Plant Fury talent, there's no mention of a limit to how many plants Xiao Anni can mutate!

If we fill the territory with supernatural-grade plants and then have Xiao Anni mutate all of them, the scene could be somewhat frightening.

However, in Su Hao's territory there is a Withered Ancient Tree, so even if ordinary plants are mutated, they won't be of much use.

So Su Hao thought it over and decided to wait until tomorrow when the purple gold bamboo matures, then see Xiao Anni's mutation ability.

Afterwards, Su Hao turned his gaze again to Xiao Anni's personal panel and opened her skill details.

【Blossom】

Proficiency: Entry-level effect: Xiao Anni consumes all her mental power, putting the surrounding mutated plants into a Blossom state, causing these plants to burst forth with stronger combat ability.

The higher Xiao Anni's mental power, the greater the number of mutated plants affected.

After Blossom, the mutated plants will be in a prolonged weakened state, losing most of their combat ability.

"Not bad, it adds a burst ability!"

Su Hao nodded; from the skill description, this is indeed a burst ability that stimulates potential.

However, the specifics of Blossom and the mutation ability of Plant Fury will only be known after trying them out tomorrow.

But one thing is certain: as long as Xiao Anni mutates enough supernatural-grade plants, her ability to defend the home will absolutely not be weak.

"Big brother, is Xiao Anni's talent really powerful?"

Xiao Anni looked at Su Hao nodding repeatedly, couldn't help but lift her head, gazing at him with an expectant expression.

"Of course! From now on, the safety of the sanctuary will be entrusted to you!"

Su Hao pinched Xiao Anni's tender cheeks, smiling as he teased.

But he never imagined that this joke would soon become reality.

If they go out to fight, Xiao Anni's strength isn't that great, after all, it's not easy for plants to move.

But when it comes to defending the home and holding a position, there really aren't many people in Su Hao's territory who can outperform Xiao Anni.
