Final Chapter Reflections

First of all, thank you to the readers who have followed along until now; thank you all for your support!

This book has finally reached its conclusion, and when I finished writing the last chapter, I felt completely and utterly relieved.

Since the creation of this book, the requirement to write and update every day has been like a sharp sword hanging over me.

The first thing I had to consider every day upon opening my eyes was how to write the upcoming plot.

Now that it is over, this sharp sword has finally been removed, and this feeling is both refreshing and yet somewhat inexplicably empty.

I have always believed that writing a book is like a long-distance run; when you first start running, you are full of energy and naturally full of passion.

But as you near the end, you become increasingly exhausted, and every day spent writing and pondering the plot feels like a form of torture.

But regardless, I feel there is one thing I can be proud of, and that is that this book has ultimately been completed.

At the very least, I can post these final chapter reflections here.

Instead of writing a "dropped series" post or an apology statement halfway through.

Being able to persist and run the entire course, even if I ran very slowly in the later stages, I have finished the race regardless.

I do not deny that this book did indeed fall apart in the later stages.

This can be seen from the gradually declining follow-up readership and average subscriptions, as well as the increasingly fewer chapter comments.

I won't hide it from everyone; I even thought about dropping the series.

But after careful consideration, I still decided to persist and finish the book.

For one, this book still had readers following along, and if I had dropped it, I would have truly felt sorry for the readers who kept reading.

Secondly, the royalties this book earned previously, even after the sharp drop in the later stages, were enough to support me in finishing it.

This point is very important, because people have to eat after all.

If one cannot even afford to eat, then talking about persistence and dreams is somewhat unreliable.

As for the reasons why this book fell apart in the later stages, I have naturally thought about this carefully as well.

But there is no need to dwell on these problems here; they all belong to my own personal shortcomings as an author.

I can only say that when writing a new book, I will take these problems into account and try my best to resolve them.

Finally, a word about my new book: after finishing this one, the author will be taking a long break.

For one, writing this book truly consumed a great deal of energy, and secondly, I have many other things to do.

Lose weight, adjust my sleep schedule, and treat my rhinitis and paronychia.

I dare not say exactly how long these things will take, especially the weight loss.

So I won't make any promises for now; if I release a new book, I will post a notification in a chapter of this book.

If you are interested in my new book at that time, you can go take a look.

Last of all, thank you to the reader friends who have followed along until now; without your support, I might not have been able to finish this book.

Thank you all!
