I don't want to know.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Experience tales with My Virtual Library Empire\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Obviously I wasn't going to say that to her so I just thanked her and told her that I will think about it before I left the nightclub.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As I was heading back towards the ship, I suddenly had a feeling that I was being watched.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I don't even know where that feeling came from but I just felt a slight chill at the back of my neck, as if someone was breathing down on it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It took me quite a bit of effort not to just turn around right there and instead, walked over to one of the shops to look through the display.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I then shifted my gaze without moving my head to look at the street I had just walked through to see if there was anyone that looked suspicious and also checked the reflection on the shop's window to check behind me.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Making a note of all the people I spotted that had also stopped moving nearby, I continued further down the street before making another stop at another store and did the same thing once again.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I spotted seven guys who also stopped in their tracks at the same time as I did, with two of them doing a really bad job of acting since they were literally pretending to stare at the wall when they stopped.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Just in case, I made a right turn up ahead and continued for a while before making another right turn again down the street.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>When I reached another store, I stopped once again and did the same thing, this time noting that out of the seven guys I spotted earlier, there were five of them who had stopped behind me.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Either the other two had not been following me and had also stopped due to coincidence earlier or they were planning to cut me off somewhere else.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I raised my arm and typed a quick message into my Codex before making another right turn, meaning I was now walking down the same street I had initially done the first check.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I once again stopped in front of the same store again to check behind me and the same five guys were a short distance down the street, leaving no room for doubt that these people were following me.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Fun fact, this is one way to tell if you're being followed because who the heck would walk a circle around the block for no reason?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Alright, now the problem is how do I deal with those people?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They're obviously not approaching me yet since we're still on a fairly populated part of the station. Perhaps they were waiting for me to reach a more secluded area or they were trying to find out where I lived.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>That means I have to deal with them before I reach my ship.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Maybe I should just intentionally go to a secluded area to deal with those guys? That sounds like a plan.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As I was looking for a place that I could lead these people to deal with, a group of people suddenly turned around the corner and started running in my direction.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I stopped, my hand immediately reaching for my pistol right before a gunshot came from behind me.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I thought that was meant for me but the bullet had whizzed past me and struck one of the newcomers in the head, killing him instantly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I turned back and I realised there was another group of people who had turned around the corner behind me and were currently charging towards the group in front of me.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>What the fuck?!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I dove into the alleyway to my right just as the two groups started firing at each other, their bullets narrowly missing me as I sought cover in that alley.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Looking back outside the alley, I was expecting the other passers-by to start panicking at the sudden shootout but most of them either looked up at the scene before continuing to walk normally or stopped to watch the shootout.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>That was when I remembered what kind of place I was at and I most likely got caught in a gang fight between two different gangs.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There was a roar as one of the gangs ran past the alley I had dove into, charging straight towards the opposing gang without a shred of fear.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>One of them even stopped to take cover at my alley to reload his gun, his gaze turning to me for a moment before realising I was not a threat and just completely ignored me and ran out again.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I let out the breath that I had been unconsciously holding and relaxed a little.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Seems like I didn't even need to worry after all.
