Chapter 40: Anyone who doesn't break up is a dog!
When getting off the passenger ship, Su Peng called out to his sister Su Manyao.
Usually Su Manyao didn't want to deal with him; now her mouth was a bit swollen, so she was even less willing to pay attention.
Su Peng caught up and, bringing up the sore spot, asked: "Sis, what's wrong with your mouth?"
Su Manyao, with a bag slung over her arm and wearing thin‑heeled high heels, stopped and turned her head.
"Bitten by a dog."
"I was bitten by a mosquito, are you happy?"
Su Manyao finished speaking, glanced at him, then turned and left.
Su Peng stood there, thinking, "I just asked, why such anger?" But her nature was cold; aside from the last scandal, she seemed born to dislike men, so he dared not ask further.
Jiang Cheng happened to walk over, heard Su Manyao's words, and touched his nose guiltily.
Although Yujie seemed angry on the surface, she actually didn't say much more.
It's just that too many relatives ignored him.
Jiang Cheng thought Yujie might be like that by nature; to save face, he needed to give her a way out.
As the saying goes, she refuses with her mouth but her body is honest.
Jiang Cheng felt Yujie was now in that situation; if she were just playing with him, there'd be no need to go this far.
But if Yujie were serious, she's very proud and cares about face, so at this stage expecting any tender mutual confession is pointless.
Yet Yujie's actions truly proved she had genuinely acknowledged being his girlfriend.
"Has she really agreed to be with you?" Su Peng, just snubbed by Su Manyao, came over and slapped the shoulder on the wall, asking.
Jiang Cheng blurted: "If not my girlfriend, why? You want me to lift your skirt to see your legs; after kissing, you even reach out to hug?"
"Holy shit, that's so exciting?!" Su Peng gave the parents' backs a hard slap.
That slap woke Jiang Cheng up!
Who am I? Where am I? What am I saying to Su Peng? I almost let the cat out of the bag! Jiang Cheng quickened his steps, hurriedly getting away from this brother‑in‑law!
After lunch, during the break, Su Peng invited Deng Qi and Liu Tao to go fishing at the lake with two young ladies.
He called for Jiang Cheng to go, but Jiang Cheng refused.
Is it wrong for me to go fishing in broad daylight? What fish are we catching?
At two o'clock sharp, the class monitors of both classes began to call, the host joined the game, they gathered the participants onto the open ground, and Jiang Cheng sat in the pavilion holding a drink and watching.
Definitely not to look at legs!
Sigh, those legs are really nice—why do they look somewhat familiar?
His gaze moved upward.
Huh? Su Manyao? The aloof Yujie actually agreed, joining them in the team‑building game? Jiang Cheng gulped a drink, feeling he might not understand Yujie enough.
"No wonder, the crowd gathering for the game kept growing; I thought these people had changed and weren't slacking, but it turns out Yujie is holding down the fort."
"Hey, Jiang Cheng! You're also looking at Professor Su?" Lijianmin, who had somehow drawn next to Jiang Cheng, spoke up.
Jiang Cheng turned his head, saw his lecherous grin, frowned, and said, "What's wrong with you? Don't you know to respect teachers and value the way? How can you look at Professor Su like that?"
Lijianmin blinked his eyes, stared blankly at Jiang Cheng, unable to speak for a moment! No, buddy, you yourself stared at Professor Su intensely, then turn around and say I don't know to respect teachers and value the way?!
If it weren't for Jiang Cheng's song yesterday that made Lijianmin admire him, he would have stood up to argue!
"That... Professor Su says it's nice to look, no harm."
"Pretty?" Jiang Cheng pursed his lips and said, "I think it's just average; mainly she has a bad personality, clingy. Look, I can't sit here for a few minutes without her calling me."
Jiang Cheng finished speaking and took another sip of his drink.
Lijianming was stunned, staring shocked at Jiang Cheng!
What are you talking about? Do you know what you're saying?
Suddenly a thought popped into his mind: genius and madness are separated by a thin line.
Yesterday he heard Jiang Cheng's original song and was amazed! But the other side of Jiang Cheng's genius is madness??
He thought Jiang Cheng must be crazy; if not, how could he say Professor Su is clingy? The aloof Yujie Professor Su, clingy? Impossible! Bah, wrong, wrong!
Even if she were clingy, she wouldn't cling to you! Would she call you over just to sit a few minutes?
Crazy?
But before his emotions could settle, a pleasant, melodious voice came through.
"Jiang Cheng, come over."
Lijianmin looked up; the speaker was actually Su Manyao! He looked at Su Manyao, then at Jiang Cheng sitting nearby! Look again!
Look again!
Holy shit!
Lijianming was stunned!
Su Manyao spoke; all the simps, of course, wouldn't miss this chance!
Immediately they followed, shouting to relay Su Manyao's words: "Jiang Cheng! Professor Su calls you!"
"Who is Jiang Cheng? Professor Su calls you over!"
"Jiang Cheng is that asshole, Professor Su calls you!"
"Jiang Cheng, Jiang Cheng, who is Jiang Cheng?!!"
"Over there, that little brother who sang yesterday is Jiang Cheng!"
The students gathered on the open ground preparing to play the game, their noise turned into a din.
Jiang Cheng took this as cheering; he stood up amid the cheers, casually tossed his drink bottle, then accurately kicked it into the nearby trash can!
Holy shit!
Li Jiaming sat nearby watching this scene, still not recovered, only feeling this kid had a bit of pretentious aura! His first reaction was, next time such an occasion arises, he'd also pull this stunt! But what if he missed the trash can? However, Jiang Cheng didn't think that much; missing the trash can incurs no fine.
Su Manyao, not far away, rolled her eyes at this scene, and unconsciously a smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.
She thought to herself: "Look at you being all pleased with yourself."
Whether to say it or not, Jiang Cheng indeed felt pleased with himself.
Just now he saw Su Manyao gathering with these people in the open space, planning to play a game together.
Originally he didn't think much of it, he just wanted to watch.
But as he watched, the students gathered in the open space began to form groups, each consisting of one boy and one girl.
Jiang Cheng then thought, "I just wanted to watch the drama, but now it's happening to me?"
If Su Manyao also wants to play this game, she will definitely have to team up with a boy.
But that's my girlfriend!
Don't say I'm being overconfident!
I've already left my mark on them, can't you see their lips are swollen?
That's not my girlfriend—could it be yours? I've become the spectator in my own situation. Jiang Cheng just waits; if Su Manyao teams up, she won't call him, but will instead stay with another boy right in front of him.
Break up.
Whoever doesn't break up is a dog.
Not even Jesus can stop it!
This kind of boy-girl grouping team-building game, with its implied meaning, couldn't possibly be just a simple game.
That's why Jiang Cheng dared to tell Lijianming that Professor Su would call on me.
He guessed right.
Then, Jiang Cheng walked to Su Manyao's side amidst the envious gazes of all the boys.
