Chapter 66: The Beauty Showdown at the Neighboring Table
Eight people arrived at the stall's entrance—four men and four women.
Jiang Cheng and his friends knew all four men—they were the four guys from the neighboring dorm.
Although they knew each other, they weren't on good terms; if you had to pick friends or enemies, they were the shared enemy of Jiang Cheng's dorm!
Jiang Cheng also disliked these people; they'd already had a falling out in their freshman year.
It started after freshman military training: the neighboring dorm was making some noise in the middle of the night, bumping against the wall with bangs, so Su Peng went over and said, "Hey, keep it down."
After that, those guys kept their eyes on Su Peng—he's sometimes hot‑headed and loud, so every few days, when he shouted something, the neighboring dorm would come over to argue and even file a complaint with the dorm supervisor.
Once there was a false alarm about a thief in the dorm; it turned out to be nothing, but when Deng Qi went to look in the dark, someone hit him on the head with their underwear!
According to Deng Qi, through the gaps in the underwear he could vaguely make out someone who looked like a person from the neighboring dorm.
That accusation obviously wouldn't hold water—he could barely even say it.
So that time he could only swallow the insult, but the feud was now firmly sealed.
"Damn, I'm really annoyed—you see dogs everywhere!" Su Peng turned away and shouted.
When the group entered, the men among them also spotted Jiang Cheng and his friends; their faces fell instantly, and then Su Peng's comment set them off.
The tall Sun Ning stepped forward and shouted, "What did you say!"
Su Peng rose to his feet, vigorous and defiant: "What I say is none of your business—you're a dog, why are you coming over?"
"Say that again?"
"Come on!"
Sun Ning was restrained by his companions: "Forget it, forget it—give me some face!"
"Don't bother with single dogs!" Liu Jie beside him pulled him and said.
That sentence instantly steadied Sun Ning—right!
They four are bachelors!
If I don't tear these four bachelors apart tonight, I'm a dog!
"Hahaha, forget it, let's sit!"
"Come, let's sit at this table—it's a good spot!"
"This table is big, we've got plenty of people—let's sit side by side!"
The neighboring dorm's guys seemed to have found their sweet spot; they instantly stopped taking Su Peng's agitation to heart and all sat down at the adjacent table.
Each of them had a female companion; whether they were from Modu Daxue or not, they were certainly college students.
You could tell the college life was treating them well—every girl was kept fair and tender.
You can tell college life is good—every girl is kept fair and tender.
Su Peng pounded the table in anger; the neighboring dorm guys had found a shop, but he'd lost his composure.
"Damn, didn't you say you had a girlfriend? You were showing off in front of me yesterday, but when it's time to produce her, you don't!"
Su Peng slapped Deng Qi on the head!
He was really furious; the rival, out for a late‑night snack, each had a girlfriend, while these four bachelors complained about the point of it all. Deng Qi felt wronged and said, "Why don't you wait a moment—I'll go inflate my girlfriend."
He was really pissed off; his rival went out for a late-night snack, each bringing a girlfriend, while the four of us bachelors complained, "What's the point?" Deng Qi said aggrievedly, "Why don't you wait a moment; I'll go inflate my girlfriend?"
Liu Tao lowered his voice, glanced at the neighboring table, and said, "Don't rush—Chen Qian will be here shortly."
Su Peng drew a breath, as if he had something to say but couldn't; he looked at him and shook his head, saying, "You're that confident?" Su Peng knew Chen Qian's looks—she wasn't ugly, but hardly a beauty. In this situation expecting her to hold up the scene is pure wishful thinking; better not to have her at all.
Liu Tao knew what Su Peng wanted to say and spoke first: "I told you—relax, Chen Qian isn't coming alone; she'll also bring Chu Siqi from the Business Management department."
As he spoke, he glanced at Jiang Cheng, then said, "As long as Chu Siqi comes, one person is enough to overawe all the women at the neighboring table."
"Is it really that exaggerated?" Su Peng doubted, frowning: "You'd better call your childhood sweetheart and tell her not to come tonight—say we have something and left first."
Su Peng meant that if they were to lose face tonight, it would be okay for him to take the hit, but he didn't want to drag Liu Tao's childhood sweetheart into it, making a girl bear that pressure—he'd feel awful.
The main issue is Chen Qian's looks can't carry the scene! "Just trust me—wait a bit and you'll see!" Liu Tao insisted.
Deng Qi grabbed Jiang Cheng's arm and asked, "Is what Old Liu said true? Is that Chu Siqi really that pretty?"
Jiang Cheng glanced at him: "If she's not pretty, could you kill her?"
After everyone had arrived, sending a message telling them to leave would be somewhat rude.
"Don't overthink it—let's just do our own thing!"
Jiang Cheng picked up the beer and filled his own cup, saying.
Actually Jiang Cheng was also unhappy; his dorm mates had come out for drinks, originally in good spirits, who knew these few eyesores would show up! The few women at the neighboring table also seemed to sense the tension between the tables, whispering to each other about what was going on.
The men they questioned each wore an arrogant look, put an arm around their partner's waist in a showy way, and glanced over at Jiang Cheng and his friends.
It was as if they were saying, "A bunch of single dogs!"
"Too much!" Su Peng pounded the table in anger, saying, "Don't force me to drag women out of a club!"
"Good, hurry up!" Deng Qi was fired up.
Jiang Cheng immediately stopped him: "Don't mess around!"
Some things are like a switch—flip it once and you'll keep flipping it! Today you can pick up women at a club, tomorrow you could get bitten by women there, the day after you could sleep in the club and bite women together!
Some things are like a switch: once you turn it on, there will be countless times! Today you can pick up women at the club, tomorrow you can go to the club and get bitten by women, the day after you can sleep at the club and bite women together!
Suddenly a clear woman's voice rang out.
Jiang Cheng and his group, including the people at the neighboring table, all turned their gaze over.
Just average, not good-looking!
"Eh! Who's that wearing a cap with such a great figure? The speaker is Chen Qian, but everyone's eyes were drawn to the silhouette behind her! Chu Siqi wore casual clothes and a duckbill cap, its brim shielding half her face—only a cherry‑small mouth was visible."
Logically casual wear shouldn't show much figure, yet Chu Siqi somehow made it look tall and slender, with a pronounced front and pert back.
"Holy shit, looks like there's really a show!"
Holy shit, it looks like there's really a show!
"Just in time, no long wait." Su Peng stood up, as if grabbing a lifeline straw: "Quick, sit down, all of you!"
He shifted his position so Chen Qian could sit next to Liu Tao, then glanced at Deng Qi: "Hey hey hey, be more flexible! Hurry up and move!"
Deng Qi's gaze swept over Chu Siqi, and he was already dazed.
As Su Peng said, Deng Qi, although he's as tough as an iron dog, is shameless; when there's an advantage to take, he doesn't let even a tiny chance slip!
"I'm calling you, move!"
"Ah? Oh oh!" Deng Qi finally reacted, shifted his plastic chair under his butt, then dragged another chair over, bumped next to Jiang Cheng, "Beautiful lady, hurry up and sit."
Chu Siqi let out a pfft laugh, hands behind her back, happily jumped to Jiang Cheng's side and sat down.
