Chapter 1165: Cat Knight

"Interesting? Of course it's interesting, but this is unfair! This is my puppet show, I have the final say!"

The child puppet outside the window complained loudly. While the comical voice began to sing again, its two "giant hands" broke through the window, reached into the model, and grabbed Miss Lasers and the still-bound Miss Bernice from left and right:

"The hero and the maid defeated the dragon, but this is not over yet! Behind the dragon, there is a terrifying demon king! Taking advantage of the ancient hero resting, the demon king ambushed the three, and captured the bound princess and the brave maid!"

The two puppet arms instantly grabbed the two puppets at the high place, and then took them away from the interior of the palace model, leaving only a messy floor and a broken window with an irregular shape:

"The demon king said: Oh, outsider knight, if you want to rescue them, go to the top of the castle, I'll be waiting for you there!"

The voice fell, and with a muffled thud, a square hole broke open in the palace ceiling, and a wooden staircase fell down, bouncing a few times after landing.

"Damn it!"

Xia De cursed uncivilizedly, then hurriedly ran up the stairs and arrived at the true top floor of the castle, which was the roof. There were no decorations or other functional items arranged on the roof, only a hanging device that could no longer be seen in this era at the edge.

The crossbar extended outward, reaching beyond the top edge of the model castle, and Miss Bernice and Miss Lasers were hanging in the air on the ropes. It is worth mentioning that the witch was still wrapped like a silkworm, while Miss Lasers only had her hands tied.

Besides them, Xia De also heard a bubbling sound and saw black smoke rising from the space beneath them.

"Oh, knight"

The sound of wings flapping came, and that "dragon" that had already been charred was soaring in the "sky." The dragon carried that blue-suspender-pants puppet on its back. In order to play the "demon king" at the end of the puppet show, it had also turned into the same size as Xia De and the others at this moment. Riding on the flying dragon, it sang loudly:

"The demon king kidnapped the beautiful princess and the brave maid who traveled with you, and beneath them now is boiling lava! Outsider knight, make your choice quickly, you can only choose to rescue one of them, will you rescue the princess who has been waiting for you, or the maid who has already fallen for you?"

"Don't talk nonsense!"

Before Xia De could speak, Miss Lasers immediately refuted loudly, her constant wriggling looking as if she wished she could bite that puppet to death.

This was clearly a very serious matter, but Xia De inexplicably wanted to laugh. Rather, this matter had been ridiculously funny from the beginning, with no seriousness at all.

Miss Lasers had only been traveling with Xia De for less than an hour; this puppet's claim was clearly somewhat exaggerated.

【Then, what is your choice...】

"I want both!"

Xia De shouted loudly, throwing out his right fist. With the consumption of the slightly recovered spirit, dozens of restraint halos flew toward the dragon dancing in the sky. At the same time, he rushed toward the edge of the castle roof, moving in coordination with 【Lagley's Leap】, while the Chain of Sin shot from his sleeve toward the puppets of the two ladies hanging in mid-air.

"Hahaha! Stupid outsider knight, if you want both, then you won't get either—the demon king laughed and said."

The dragon nimbly dodged the silver halos, and the ropes holding the two ladies all snapped at this moment.

No matter how fast Xia De was, he couldn't be faster than the speed of falling. While the demon king puppet laughed, they had already fallen toward the boiling lava bowl that had appeared beneath them at some point.

Swish

The sound of breaking through the air appeared abruptly, and four large cards flew over rapidly. Two caught the falling ladies, and two flew toward Xia De. He jumped onto 【Founding Knowledge】, flying toward the high place like riding a flying carpet.

In puppet form, wanting to use 【Treasured Item】 to control the Tarot deck would consume a considerable amount of spirit, because those Tarot cards were too large. But for the four Major Arcana cards other than 【Founding Silver Moon】, although he didn't know the reason, every time "She" said 【You have gained new power】, Xia De could manipulate them as if manipulating his own body.

In other words, manipulating Major Arcana cards didn't require consuming spirit.

"Don't think about running!"

Three Tarot cards joined together, supporting the three, and flew toward the area far away from the model with the three puppets. The blue-suspender-pants puppet immediately rode the dragon to chase after them, and the "roaring" dragon spat flames at the three:

"Don't be afraid!"

Xia De's fingertips cut the chains binding the witch with moonlight. While the latter looked at the sea of fire behind him in some horror, the 【Founding Balance】 without passengers flew over, and Xia De used it as a shield to block behind the three. The flames hit the cards, but nothing happened. After all, Major Arcana cards had the characteristic of being indestructible, and the flames spat by the model were only the size of candle flames for the normal-sized cards.

"If you don't finish my puppet show, no one is allowed to leave!"

In the angry voice of the puppet behind the dragon, a towering wooden wall abruptly rose at the edge of the model venue, and the Tarot cards immediately carried the three to fly upward, but the dragon had already chased after them:

"My puppet show isn't over yet, don't think about leaving!"

"Miss Lasers, you and Miss Bernice go first, I'll stop it!"

Without waiting for the two ladies to object, the three joined Tarot cards separated. Two carried them to fly to the high place, while without the troublesome companions, Xia De stood on 【Founding Knowledge】, holding the Silver Moon Greatsword, with another Tarot card fluttering beside him, and then he turned to face the dragon.

The puppet was immediately happy:

"Oh, outsider knight, even if you helped the princess and the maid escape, you still have a final battle with the demon king."

It deliberately put on a rough voice, and then rode on the dragon's back to meet Xia De.

With Tarot cards as shields, Xia De and the puppet crossed in the air. Neither used long-range attack abilities, only attacking each other with weapons at every crossing.

Xia De used his own Moonlight Greatsword, while the puppet used a wooden hammer. Although Xia De could rely on Tarot cards to fly at this moment, they were only paper cards after all. The flying dragon puppet had greater strength and was more suitable for riding. Moreover, Xia De's spirit was already low because of releasing the Mystery Lock.

It was only three clashes, and Xia De had already fallen into a disadvantage. And Miss Lasers and Miss Bernice, who had flown to the high place, had already reached the top of the wooden wall. But when the two paper cards tried to fly out, the paper cards indeed crossed the high wall, but they were separated from the paper cards as if they had hit an invisible transparent barrier, and then fell toward the high sky below.

Xia De distracted himself in the battle to control the paper cards to fly back, caught them, and let them wait at the high place. But this distraction made him fall into an even greater disadvantage, plus the injuries he had just suffered, and the lack of spirit caused by using the complete Mystery Lock, the situation was rapidly developing in an unfavorable direction, and only the puppet riding the dragon was still laughing loudly.

Thump thump thump

Just at this moment, the two ladies at the high place both heard a slight "footstep" sound, and it was a sound coming from the other side of the high wall. Miss Bernice turned to look because she was not yet used to the puppet body, while Miss Lasers turned her head 180 degrees to look. Then, both saw the towering wooden wall begin to tremble.

An inexplicable panic immediately shrouded their hearts, as if something even more terrifying and even more difficult to understand was about to appear. And in the terrified mood of the two, the head of a "huge monster" poked out from below the other side of the wooden wall, and "huge" amber eyes appeared in front of them.

"Meow woo"

Mia, who nimbly jumped onto the high wall, gripped the top of the high wall with her front paws, but her body was still hanging below. But this cat just shook its tail, and with a force of its not-so-sharp claws, the whole cat had wiggled to the top of the high wall.

It had no interest at all in the two puppets sitting on the paper cards, but still stretched out its claws to poke Miss Lasers to express its dissatisfaction—the 【Ring of Fish Training】 was now on her finger.

Then, the cat squatting majestically on the wooden wall saw Xia De fighting with the model dragon. Although Xia De was also a puppet at this moment, it still recognized Xia De:

"Meow woo!"

At this moment, there was no creature larger than its body size, so the fierce cat pounced into the exquisite model. The moment the cat crossed the high wall, the effect of any blood-and-flesh life becoming a puppet in the venue took effect. But while the whisper light wrapped around the cat, the 【Ring of Metamorphosis】 on the cat's tail vibrated with a buzz, and the effect of transforming the blood-and-flesh body into a puppet body was actually dispelled.

Because Mia pounced too fast, Xia De and the dragon-riding suspender-pants puppet, who were focused on fighting, only noticed it at the moment the 【Ring of Metamorphosis】 buzzed.

Caught off guard, the dragon puppet was pounced on head-on by Mia. Fortunately, Mia was a small-sized kitten. Although the dragon model was smaller than it, it still struggled to escape under the puppet's control.

So this cat landed in the forest venue. It didn't care how exquisite the model was, but in just a few tail-flicks and pacing turns, a large area of trees in the venue was destroyed crookedly.

"Oh, Mia!"

Xia De stood on the paper cards and flew toward Mia. The cat looked curiously at the Xia De who had become smaller, trying to stretch its claws toward him, but was dodged by Xia De.

But the appearance of this cat also gave Xia De a new idea. He jumped off the paper cards and landed on the cat's back. While the cat was foolishly trying to turn its head to look at its own body, Xia De, riding the cat, issued an order:

"Mia, chase that dragon... wait, why does this feel so familiar... that really was a precognitive dream!" ===== CHAPTER 1166 =====
